Well a few carts left Hillsboro central and so I started my stroll to find dinner I spotted this place and decided on the three meat over rice plate the young man running the cart was very friendly and the food very delicious all the meat was very tender delicious and tasty along with the Taziki and Hummus i couldn't get this food into my mouth fast enough the rice fluffy and tasty as well I did leave full and very satisfied so give them a try and get out and eat hope this helped you and happy dining.

Lots of meat, just hard to show

Just as good as last time! I got the lamb saj and it was still very good. Shared it with my parents and they said it was huge, I held it like a light saber haha. Anyways, strong flavors but not overly salty. My dad had it with the spicy sauce. He said it was just spicy, not a lot of extra flavors. But I guess the wrap has plenty of lamb, spices, and onions too so I think it was fine.

Great food truck! I got the lamb gyro fries, they warned me it would be spicy, and I loved it! The meat was great, spicy, the sauce on the fries great, and so much food!! The people were great, and they were quick and easy. They were parked at the Hillsboro Station and made it so easy, beer and gyro fries!

We had just finished a hike and wanted something light near our hotel. Found this place and the…read morereviews drew us in. Definitely lived up to the hype. Restaurant is very spacious. The cashier handed us some menus and we sat down, however the prices on the menu were crossed off so I had to get up and take a picture of the menu on the wall to get the updated prices. We got the hummus plate which came with their puffy bread. Lamb shawarma plate, Greek salad with lamb gyro meat, and a lentil soup. The portions were very generous. Lentil soup was decent. It tasted clean, but lacked a bit in flavor. The hummus was lighter in color than I'm used to, but it was very smooth and delicious. Paired with their thin, crispy but also fluffy puffy bread, it was really good! Greek salad was a good Greek salad. But the lamb meat was great. Even my wife who doesn't really like lamb thought it was really flavorful. It really stood out. Same with the lamb shawarma plate. The lamb was the star, and paired with the tahini sauce and the rice, it was great. Rice itself was decent. Overall, we really enjoyed the meal. I'd definitely be a regular if I was local.

We had a decently large order amongst 7-8 people and sadly each and every order was really bad. Chicken was undercooked, shawarma was looking more like pan seared chicken that was rushed, lamb was cold, less or almost no seasoning and some orders had entire food cold. Very disappointed. Hopefully others don't have the same experience

Their move from congested downtown Beaverton to this tranquil spot was a good one. The woodsy…read moreatmosphere - including "parakeets" (?) and calming music - provides for a pleasant dining experience. The complimentary lavash, onion, and mint (?) is a nice way to start your meal. Pro tip: cut bite sized pieces of the onion and enjoy with your entree. Zereshk Polow is a definite recommend. Usually, chicken breast is somewhat unexciting, but it's delightfully moist and popping with flavor here. And of course, the barberry saffron rice is an experience not to be missed. Owner is pleasant and obviously cares about his business. No healthcare fee or automatic 20%+ BS which is trending in Portland. A somewhat hidden gem especially if you're new to Persian cuisine, not to be confused with Mediterranean or pan-Middle Eastern.

The new location looked like they were still on the middle of renovating but we were still able to dine in. Parking was easy as well. I came in on a Saturday evening at 6:30pm and was shocked to find they were sold out of tahdig, which was the one thing I was looking forward to. I found it odd that they didn't prepare extra for a weekend dinner but that's okay. Our party loved the lamb shanks and kebabs! The lamb shank was so tender and not gamey at all. And the kebabs was one the best kebabs I've had! There weren't too many customers when we came so hopefully it'll ramp up more once they are more settled into their new place.

I'm giving a fourth star because the guy at the counter is always welcoming. The place is located within a busy Fred Meyer shopping area. So parking can be a bit busy, especially during lunch hours. There's Pho Tango restaurant, a nail salon, and a UPS store all sharing the lot. Inside dining is simple. Mostly tables for two or four. Clean table tops with the times I've dined-in. So no issues with service or dining. Regarding the gyros, they've got lots to choose from on the menu (and up on the menu board). I've tried their Lamb Gyro and Chicken Gyro for $11.99, as well as their Combo Gyro with chicken and beef for $13.99. I do love the fact that the pita bread is nice and warm, and the toppings were flavorful. But I feel the gyro slices are a bit small, not your typical long juicy strips. More like slivered shawarma cuts. I've also tried the Double Meat over Rice ($16.99) which consists of the chicken and lamb cuts, hummus, tzatziki, a little bit of lettuce, tomatoes, all on top of rice, with that warm pita bread included. Honestly, I thought this plate would blow me away, but it didn't. I mean their sauces were good, but I feel it needed a spicy kick to it.. Overall, Monte Gyro is a great little spot for lunch. Plenty of items to choose from on the menu and at reasonable prices. Dining is typical and service is exceptional. I'll likely be back in support of this local mom'n'pop shop.
