Whether you order there or online any estimate of time they give you, pad by about 15 minutes. Since moving here last summer, I've been intrigued by Mike's Drive-In. We've driven by it dozens of times, and its friendly and bold signage never fails to catch my eye. We're always zipping by on the way to or from someplace, so the opportunity to try it hadn't presented itself until one day last week, after a long dog walk, we happened to be in that area, and we opted for "linner". We used the walk-up window and were greeted warmly. The person who took our order was also training someone new and seemed patient. While we didn't go inside, it looked bright and clean. I had no idea the menu would be as extensive as it was. There were several burger and sides options and a mahoosive selection of milkshake flavors. I ordered a cheeseburger meal with tots and a dark chocolate milkshake. My hubby got a double bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. I wish we had eaten our meals on site rather than driving home, or at least thought to vent our hamburger bags. Because the burgers were in foil pouches and I failed to vent them, the bun and shredded lettuce got soggy. Overall, the flavor was good, and I'm sure it would have been better had we eaten there or vented the burger bags. I did open the bag so the fries and tots would be okay, and they were still crispy and tasty. The milkshakes were delicious. Sure, you could argue even a bad milkshake is still good, but these were pretty darned tasty. Thick but not undrinkably or ear-popping thick. All in all, Mike's is a definite do-over for us. read more

A good classic burger! We substituted our sides with sweet potato fries and pickle fries and both were delicious! The pickle fries were so nice and crispy and not soggy at all like pickle fries I've had at other places. We also did try their clam strips but would skip next time. It's mainly all breading. I was very disappointed with my food order I ordered the blue bacon burger when I got it home the bacon was raw and there were no blue cheese crumbles at all it was a very expensive combo and it was not good I gave half to my dog. Manager was rude when I asked to return the Seashore Plank Fires, because they tasted like the frozen fries at the store. And not the good ones! His coworker kept coming out of the kitchen and staring at us, which is very odd and not to mention- rude! My husband, and I have been there four times at this location. Overpriced for what it is, and this name is weird for a location that does not have a drive in set up nor a drive through. We were in the area and hoping to find something to fill the kids with, before they attend a school event that night (SO and myself can then go have a proper date night dinner). The rating between Yelp and Google were quite different, but seeing it's a local chain, we wanted to give them some support. The line was pretty short at 4:30, but there were quite a few ppl in the establishment, we managed to grab seats indoor, there was also plenty of outdoor seating available. The food came fairly quick, I had a few bites of my daughters burger, it was solid, but nothing to write home about. My daughters had the burger and the chicken stripes, but were good but not memorable. The sweet potato waffles fries that they upgraded to were amazing, so was the soft serve, kids mentioned it was more "milky" than the other ones they've had before. The interior is new and fairly clean, this was an enjoyable snack. We might come back again when we are in the area, but wouldn't recommend making a trip for this spot. read more

We stopped here last Monday, October 27th for lunch and ordered the Mushroom and Cheeseburgers with fries and a Shake. As I said earlier the shake was perfect, but the burgers were cold and dry - absolutely no flavor to them. It is obvious they are cooking frozen burgers now. Not my first choice for a burger. Driving by I spotted this little place, and decided why not. It was great, much larger menu than I expected. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger basket, it took a few to get, but they put it together fresh, so it was worth the short wait. It was very moist, the fries were perfect. Not a very big dining room, but we got lucky and found a table. Liked the background music, current with some oldies thrown in, not very loud. The place was very clean. We stopped by Mike's in Tigard on our way to the theater. I was excited to see that they were opening a location closer to the west side of town. We use to travel occasionally to the Milwaukee location. The new locations has indoor, outdoor seating and during the summer they have walk up service. They have a small parking area so depending on the time of day you might need to park at the movie theater parking and walk over. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger basket, you get your choice of fries or tots a drink and cookie. I could not help myself I also added a chocolate soft serve cone, it was huge! My son ordered the deluxe cheeseburger basket with tater tots. You get a choice of side dipping sauce. The fries are shoe string style. We decided to eat inside, they have plenty of indoor tables. The burgers were solid and well put together with your choice of fresh onions or grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. The staff is very pleasant. When they first opened they had a lot a new employees and much like new business they had some growing pains. But today we had a great experience and really enjoyed the food. read more

I was pretty excited to see Mike's come to the westside, I was not disappointed either. The place was very busy so orders took a bit longer than I would prefer. The staff was very friendly, but improvement could be made to wipe down used tables even when it is busy. We really enjoyed our food, I had the chili burger special, we also got fried mushrooms (totally loved) and the pickle spears were awesome. The place is otherwise clean (except the tables) and bright inside. Parking tip there is more parking on the east side of the building which you may not see if you enter off hwy 99 versus taking a turn on the street behind them. I do hope to see the pastrami burger at some point, this is what I really want :). We will visit again for sure. read more

It was my first time driving Mike's Drive in. I couldn't believe they had such an awesome gluten-free bun! As a gluten-free vegetarian, it's difficult to find a good veggie burger with a gluten-free bun. The person working let me know the fryer is shared for fries, so I skipped the fries. Typical fast food place that was recommended to us when we were standing in line at In N Out. Mikes is hard to miss with the giant arrow pointing to the shop. You can order inside and sit down or order outside at the windows to-go. Here is what we tried: 1. Onion Rings: LOVE! The batter isn't super thick and I love the flavor 2. Clam Strips: Mostly batter so I couldn't really get past anything with that taste 3. Chicken Strips: good, not great 4. French fries: typical, but I love how thin they are! Burgers: 1. All American Steak Burger with Cheese: this was a bit messy, but what burger isn't. For the "steak" part, I couldn't tell a difference so I probably wouldn't pay more just for this one. 2. Jalepeno Burger: delicious, but typical. The heat just wasn't there. So I was slightly disappointed. Soft Serve: YES YES YES! Get this cheap dessert for only 99 cents. During the seasonal time we got the Pumpkin and it is by far the best ice cream or soft serve I have ever had. I come back just for this sweet treat! Overall it was good, not great or epic. But if I was in a crunch- I would come back. I do however LOVE the soft serve! Absolutely a must. The workers are also great which is what bumped from a 3 to a 4 star review! read more

So kind of shocked at the bad reviews. A couple were bad because of big groups in front of them- which is not necessarily the restaurants fault. We came during dinner hour and they were busy but not crazy busy. The guy taking our order was knowledgeable and helpful. He made good suggestions too. I ordered the double Jalapeño Chipotle burger. Literally a perfect burger tonight. Great flavor- burger cooked medium, juicy, cheesey, and spicey but not crazy. Excellent onion rings- great with ranch and fry sauce. Milkshakes are thick and rich.
