I'd give it 3.5 but I'm feeling generous so I'm rounding lol. The server who sat us was fantastic. Funny and sweet. We said we don't care where we sit. Anywhere is good. She said she's never been married but she knew that someone saying that to you is as close to marriage as she's gotten, in working this job. My friend and I both laughed because we have been married and both know. We ordered fries and both got a flight. Unfortunately my friend had to abruptly leave and we waited a few minutes to try to get the check but despite it being really really dead the server took FOREVER to get there!! That was why my score went down. The beers were great and the food was too. But the service wasn't. It was okay at best. Pretty disappointed. Because it's a super cute spot. I'd definitely go back. read more

We came to the Portland and in this specific case the Tigard area for when it was around my birthday which is an annual event. We hit a bunch of breweries and then go out to a nice dinner! Cooper Mountain Ale Works was one of the brewery stops and we enjoyed the beer! I got one of my favorite kinds of pilsners, an Italian kind! The name of this beer was Lucy In The Sky With Saphir. A fun name and it tells you what music and songs the brewmaster feels inspired by. Flavors to find in this beer are kind of a light buttery flavor (diacetyl), a natural sweetness, maltiness along with a clean finish. We got some really cool faded (acid washed maybe) black t shirts here for future representing for future brewery adventures! read more

Friendly service. We've gone twice on Tuesdays to enjoy the Irish music sessions for which this establishment is a good setting. It's great for all ages. Great kids menu with good pricing and standard options for picky eaters. Haven't ordered much off the main menu as mainly went for the music. read more

I've been here before and love the waffle fries! This time I was with a young autistic man who was ready for a cheeseburger. We sat out front. A server walked by-no eye contact or "I'll be right there". He helped 2 other tables. He walked by again-nothing. He went inside and chatted with a co-worker. My friend was very hungry, so we left a couple minutes later. As we left, the young server just chatted away with his co-worker. I looked at him and shrugged. Too bad. read more

My favorite bar in the Tigard area. The prices are very reasonable. Maybe I'm biased beause my name is Cooper and I have a friend who works here. All of the staff is very nice and attentive and the service is great. I've tried the happy mac, the happy hour wings I still need to try the pizza. The prices are all very reasonable and much better than buying a $10 beer elsewhere. My job is 100% remote so I appreciate the company and I work from here sometimes, I'll have to check out the live music sometime. 5/5 stars! read more

Came for Tuesday Irish music night and absolutely loved the music! I shared a flight of beer (6 for $12- super cheap!) with my husband. Love how they have a large variety of beer and a lot of European styles. My favorites were the nitro cream ale and Hef, my husband really liked the AltBier and Maibock. Didn't get any food but the pizzas looked amazing. Place was packed because of a 90th birthday party so service was slower (as expected of course) but still great! Our server was super kind and apologetic about it. Definitely check this place out if you're into European style beer, live music, and friendly service! read more

On a rainy, fall Saturday evening at 5:30pm Cooper Mountain had no bratwurst, no baked potatoes and no soup offerings, three major menu items, especially for fall weather. Burger was good, with generous condiments, but the bun was too thin and small for the burger and the fries were limp and undercooked. Atmosphere was lively but very loud and echo-y. The one plus was our friendly, attentive server. read more

I've been here several times and I really appreciate their laid back and chilled atmosphere. The staff are friendly and I really enjoy the live music on Thursdays. One of my favorite food items here is the pizza. Is wood fired and flavorful. The G.O.A.T. pizza is one of my favorites. Plenty of tables inside and a nice partly covered patio out front. Parking is difficult as they have no parking lot so it's street parking which is shared with many different businesses, so expect to park a distance and maybe up to a 5 min walk. Still not bad. The beer itself I find good, but not great. Not my favorite but still appreciate a brewery beer over mass produced stuff. There are better breweries around the Portland area but the beer is good enough. The other food is great. I love the reuben and the fish and chips. Today we joined as a group of eight. Most of the group was already but as soon as we sat down, we were rushed to order drinks and it was going to take some time for me as there are several beers to choose from. I told our waiter to come back in a few minutes. He came back and got everyone's drinks, but didn't ask for my drink order now that I decided. When he came back later to take food orders, I told him I wanted to order my beer and he acted surprised that I wanted to order a drink. I don't understand that at all because I made it quite clear o wanted to order a drink before and just need a few moments to figure it out. We also ordered our pizza and a half Caesar salad. Well after waiting 15 min he never brought my beer to me. He was serving other patrons in the bar but never got to my beer. Eventually the pizza and salad came out. No beer. We also didn't really get any napkins. And I had to ask our other friends for their forks to eat our salad. He did notice we didn't have any plates for our pizza so he brought that. He didn't really attend to us much, but then he was the bartender too so was doing double duty. Anyway, when I got the bill I saw that he charged me for the beer. I told him he never brought it and he says he remembered pouring it, but honestly in don't know how you remember pouring a beer and then not giving it to the right person. That's just not good service. Since our party was a group we got automatically charged 20% for tips. I don't have a problem with that so long as the service is good, but it was just mediocre. Thus the reason I gave three stars. read more

We met our friends for dinner the other day, we really like the meal and drink options. We tried their pizza and and a new sandwich The Meltdown, Ham, Guda, Caramelized onion, Cheddar and American Cheese served on sourdough with fries. We also tries the 10in Pepperoni pizza, it was filled with tons of Pepperoni and cheese, the crust was thin and nicely crisp a must try. Food was fantastic as were the adult beverages! My margarita was delicious but not worth the $22 or $25 price for the small glass it comes in. Otherwise all was great! Service was great although it was not busy, so I'm not sure how it is when it's a packed house. Ambiance was fine for what it was! read more

This was the first time I had been back to this space after it changed ownership hands several years ago. We went here to meet up with friends for happy hour the other night, and it very much felt like the same vibe as before. Except there's a stage for live music now instead of play space and video game area. It's giving Pacific NW could-be-at-any-local-microbrewery vibes: wood everywhere, random local sports team flags, beer company posters on the wall. It's a large space with plenty of seating both inside and out. There were a good amount of beers on tap and a nice variety. A couple of us had ciders while the others had beers, and they were all enjoyable. I do love that they have happy hour every day, including weekends, from 2-5pm. We ordered the sliders and the vegetable tempura to share, and that was just the right amount for me and my husband to split. And both were delicious! What really surprised and impressed me was the service. It was terrible here before with the previous owners, and I had heard rumblings that the bad service continued. However, on our visit, the servers were awesome. They took our orders when we were ready, without having to wait too long, and they checked in with us throughout the night. Everyone we encountered who worked there was super friendly and helpful. The location is right off of Main Street in downtown Tigard. While it used to be super easy to find street parking right out front, it's starting to get busier as more businesses open up, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking. Someone was leaving their spot right when we got there, so we were lucky and snagged a spot right out front, but the rest of the street was packed. Overall, it's a decent spot to meet up with friends for happy hour. The ambience/decor is sort of all over the place, and the other food options on the main menu didn't inspire me (almost everything had cheese or other dairy), hence the four stars. But other than that, it's worth checking out for beers/ciders and burgers. read more

Our food was actually pretty good, and the kitchen did a solid job overall, which makes this review disappointing to write. Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Jeff, completely changed the atmosphere of the meal. From the moment we sat down, he came across as irritated and uninterested in helping us. Every question or request seemed to be met with attitude, impatience, or an annoyed response, to the point where it felt uncomfortable interacting with him. We tried to stay polite and understanding throughout the meal, but the negative energy never really improved. Simple things like ordering drinks, asking about menu items, or requesting anything additional felt like we were inconveniencing him. Good service can really elevate a dining experience, and unfortunately in this case, the service did the opposite. Again, the food itself was enjoyable, and that's the reason this isn't a completely negative review. But customer service matters just as much as the meal, and the overall experience was overshadowed by how unpleasant the interaction with our server was. I'd consider coming back for the food, but I'd honestly hope for a different server next time. read more

Atmosphere was 5 Service was a 4 Food was a solid 4, not going with a 5 because the fish was Cod and not Halibut... not the restaurants fault Flight was a solid 5 Brussel sprouts were absolutely the tables favorite along with the pretzel and beer cheese. Something has gone wrong at Cooper Mountain!!! I've always enjoyed going there. Good food, service and fair prices. Today the food was awful. 12 of us were there for dinner. The food was unacceptable. My fish and chips were overcooked on the outside and practically raw inside. This was true of other items, as well. Our server did his best but was trying to cover too many tables. Cooper Mountain needs a new cook!!! read more

I've been here three or four times because it's super close to home. It's pretty hit and miss. My husband says the beer is good. The food is pretty good and the servers are super friend but kitchen is SO SLOW. We once waited over an hour for sandwiches at lunch time and it wasn't even busy! I think they have too large a menu for how small their kitchen is. The waffle fries are good if you're looking for a beer and snack! Last time, they were severely over cooked. read more

Nice quick stop for casual family night. Played games as we enjoyed a nice draft beer and a hard selter. Ordered the pretzel with beer cheese. It was delicious, albeit kinda small. The chicken sandwich and fries we ordered were terrible. When I asked the server about the tiny little French fry pieces we got she brushed it off as "the good thing is you get more."She was totally rude at the end and told us we need to speak up if we have a problem with our order and could have cared less that our food was less than desirable. Great service, food, and ambiance. When you go out to dinner with a friend that you haven't seen in a long while (especially a friend that you used to live with ‍), you better hope that place you meet at is good. Unbeknownst to us, Cooper Mountain Ale Works serves schnitzel, which, funnily enough, is sort of a bonding point for us in our past. And while the schnitzels we had together in the past are no longer available, knowing this good of a schnitzel is right down the road puts a smile on my face. It is super crispy with lots of flavor. The beer was good, though didn't necessarily blow me away. I think if I'm particular about the beer I want, I might just go around the block to Tigard Taphouse, but the one thing that place doesn't have is a good menu of food. There's lots more items on here that I'm eager to try out! I've still yet to find a fish & chips place better than my favorite, so definitely expect me to come back to try those out. Plus, based on the fact they have a stage, looks like they have live music. Gotta come back when someone's playing! read more

I took my granddaughter for lunch last year and was annoyed that their " kids menu" grilled cheese was only a half of a sandwich with a very small amount of fries. I decided to go tonight because they had live music, which is rare in Tigard. The musician's canned percussion drowned out his voice. I ordered the Bavarian pretzel and paid three dollars extra for "beer cheese".(if there was any beer in it, I couldn't taste it) The pretzel was covered with oil and both it, and the cheese, were lukewarm. The cheese already had a skin formed on top. The best thing that I ordered the Stout, which was good. It was not very busy and I was sitting at least10 minutes before the server came over. I will not go back, two strikes and they're out with me! read more

Great food at a moderate price, Cooper Mountain Ale Works is a casual restaurant that hits the spot on weekends out with the family. With board games, live music, and coloring pages for kids, there's entertainment for everyone. The restaurant easily accommodated our group of 7, and allowed us to maintain separate checks. I always appreciate it when venues work with the diners, even if it is a slight inconvenience. The food portions were generous, and everyone at our table was pleased with their selections. I chose a pub burger accompanied by a cup of homemade chicken and pepper Jack soup The burger was tender and juicy, and served on fresh brioche bun. My husband ordered the pub-style macaroni. While it was indeed tasty, the beer cheese roux was missing a little something to make it extra special. White pepper or paprika, or perhaps a tiny bit of heat was needed. It was a 7, but could have been a 10. Our waiter, Shane, was friendly and extra patient with our party that included two young children. We had a great experience today, and I'd be happy to meet my friends here for lunch anytime. read more

Everything about this place is a 10 for us! The service is always amazing and we are slowly trying our way around the menu. The 3 piece fish and chips came with three huge pieces of fish. The batter was light and crunchy and the fish inside was super fluffy. It comes with a generous portion of fries as well. The pepperoni pizza comes with the little cupping pepperonis. The crust was chewy but not hard and the sauce was very flavorful. The chopped salad was delicious. The greens were nice and fresh and it was full of bacon and chicken and large pieces of blue cheese. Love this place and will keep it on our rotation of places to go to eat out. read more

Friendly.....and I mean super Friendly staff! We sat outside on patio with our 3 dogs. They brought a water dish. We started out with beverages. The Vanilla Porter was a hit. Based on Yelp reviews we tried the Brussel sprouts, cottage pie, and pizza. We were not mislead. The Brussel sprouts were crispy with an aeoli sauce. The bacon was delicious! The pig and peppers pizza and GOAT pizza were delicious and super tasty crust. A little soft in middle so you gotta fold it. The cottage pie was super HOT! Had to let it cool down but so good! I thought this was the ultimate local spot!! It was amazing! The beer, the food, reminded me of local German spots that I grew up with, in Germany. Even though I have a registered service dog, it seemed as if they were way more dog friendly than the rest of the local places. My fiance' and I would make this our normal date night on Fridays, We fell in love with the beer, and mostly the fact that we could hang out with our dogs and not feel segregated against, even though legally they could not stop us from bringing our service animals with us. That all changed, when tonight we were told that one of the servers was reprimanded because he petted our dogs too much, even though we allowed him to do so. Now, our service animals are not allowed to lay down on the seat next to us, like they always used to. This place has turned into a place just like anywhere else, where the passive aggressive locals {Californian natives) have somehow taken over, and convinced the owners that dogs should not be allowed in their restaurant. So, good luck to all you Fucking Hipsters that have taken over this beautiful place that I considered home, up until tonight. I am actually looking for a new place to live as the PNW has become nothing more than Northern California, and that is NOT who we are!!!!! I considered this place my home every Friday night, but now I feel like an outsider... even though we supported them year round even when there was nobody else there, as soon as they got different clientele, they shit on us, and became just like everyone else... so I don't know what else to say, but FUCK YOU! You broke our hearts!!! I thought you were one of us.. read more

I have been here several times with my family including two young children. The food has been consistently good. Nice beer selection. local spot and it feels good to support a small business. Both indoor and outdoor seating as well. So far hitting all the marks. Service is where we go wrong. On two occasions my order was wrong. Both during lunch and during dinner on separate occasions and with separate waiters. My husbands order was wrong on a different trip (during dinner). We are not overly picky, so we made due considering the food is good. This last trip my order was wrong again and the restaurant had what I would describe as, the modern day version of Cops, playing in the background. Meanwhile my toddlers were glued to the TV as people were tazed down and held at gunpoint. I realized I couldn't be the lady that complains about her order being wrong AND the lady that asks for the TV to be changed, so I took one for the fam (did not mention my order was incorrect) and quite literally said "hey, do you mind if we change the channel on the TV? My 2yo is watching someone being held up at gunpoint." She shot me a really cold look and said "uhm if no one else is watching it" then paraded off red pony tail swinging. Uhhhm, okay? She then proceeded to walk by our table and say "this is what I fall asleep to". Unreal. Nice customer service considering an average meal for 2 for sandwiches and some bowls of Mac n cheese + tip is 100 + dollars..... We won't be back. read more

My husband and I have been to this location 3 times now. I have had a sandwich, pizza and a burger. All were very good. The pizza crust is made in house and pizza is the right balance of crispy and flimsy(?). That burger though... I ordered well done because I don't want pink and it was the juiciest most delicious burger I've had in a long time(fry options come with it, I had waffle). Service has always been great, they are always attentive and helpful. It is a bit loud when they are busy but that isn't surprising and for me doesn't detract from the experience. Lunch hour - so no drinking alcohol but they do have a large selection of beer. Had the grilled cheese sandwich that had crisped cheese on the outside providing a nice crunch. Dessert are limited, overpriced and not very good. Peach cobbler, for $8, had a "concrete" sort of topping that required a jackhammer to break through to the CANNED peaches underneath. Add a $3 dollar scoop of I cream made this catastrophe an $11 "won't order that ever again" dessert. Service was fair and not very attentive. read more

I've stopped in here a few times over the years when it was Max Fannos and always found it to be a quite satisfactory experience. I live at the north end of 217 so Tigard is not exactly my home stomping ground. But I am a member of the Legion post just down the street which is sufficient excuse to do an Old Town Tigard bar crawl now and then. I see a lot of whining in the reviews about issues that barely blip my meter. I'm long retired so needing fast service so I can have lunch and get back to work is long in my distant past. I go to places like these to relax, have a nice meal, a cold beer and perhaps socialize a little if I happen to run into anyone interesting. Especially now, living with the aftermath of the scamdemic, you aren't always going to get the most rapid service due to labor shortages and certain items may not be available. That's life in our brave new world. If you voted for the people who caused this fiasco, complain to yourself if you don't like the world you created. Kate nutty shutdown Brown is sufficient reason for me to like this place. They have a still out back and brew their own which is kinda nice. Brewmasters tend to know lot more about their products than a tap house that gets their kegs delivered. Not that I am a beer snob at all because I am not. If it's cold and tastes like beer I'm a happy guy. So I'm generally NOT a happy guy in a UK pub even as much as I enjoy Bitters. The food here is quite good, reasonably priced with generous portions. I really like the mac and cheese and the reuben is quite good. Staff is great. Very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Never been especially crowded when I've been there and never a problem finding a free table. There is an outside patio that's nice when the annual monsoons are over. This place is at the west end of Old Town Tigard right on the main drag. Parking can be iffy especially with all the road destruction going on. But you can always find a spot on a side street if you don't mind walking a block or so. read more
