Came here for lunch with the family. We were seated right away which was nice. We ordered clam strips, French fries, and popcorn chicken for the table. The clam strips were a slam dunk. Highly recommend. Fries were good too. The popcorn chicken was a huge miss though. Instead of breaded pieces of chicken breast, it was processed ground chicken with a breading. Needless to say the kids were not into it. This place is a nice place to grab a beer and fries but I wouldn't come here for a meal. Our server seemed like he was having an off day so service could have been better. Ambiance was typical for beer place. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Service was quick- food came out exceptionally fast! I enjoyed the blood orange cider... it went really well with my burger and fries.

We stopped in on Sunday for lunch, and everything was yummy!! I got the mahi mahi sandwich w/ fries and it was just what I wanted . Wife got the Ono fish and chips , the only thing was the batter on fish could have used some seasoning, but still delicious. The Nitro Cream is worth coming back for , and our servers, Courtney was very nice !! Nice place!!

Love it here. Family friendly with friendly service and good food/beer. Bring the pup and sit outside or just the people and sit inside in the AC cooled area. The portions are generous so come hungry!

It really comes with more mushrooms but I had to chow down before taking this photo

It's tucked away and parking gets full pretty quick so likely you'll have to park and walk a little ways but great for making room for all the delicious food! The inside has a good vibe, its large and open lots of natural light coming in and I noticed they have outdoor seating. Menu is pretty simple. We ordered beer and cider and the fried mushroom appetizer. Burger because of course they go with all the beer. It can get a little loud from all the conversations from tables in there but it works since no one can overhear your convos. All in all it was a great place to enjoy some beer and food.

Tried Ancestry Brewing for the first time tonight. Very good! The Which Cane First Chicken Sandwich was pretty good as were the fries. Had the Pineapple Wheat beer and that was very good as well. Our server was great. She actually gave us (me) two beers since we had to wait a bit to order - nice touch! Will definitely be back. I'd recommend you give this a try.

    Flight Tasting

I would return just for the Apricot/Mango beer. I wish I would have brought my growler to fill. I had the flight tasting that included 4 beers, and unamiously all liked that beer the best. The food is simple pup food, but cooked really well. Like most right now, they must be short stafed, but surpisgly our food came out in lightening speed after placing our order.

Ask the Community - Ancestry Brewing

Are you offering take out during the covid issues?

Yes at the Tualatin location for now.

Is your vegan patty also gluten-free ? Is your gluten-free bun vegan?

Vegan tastes awesome, but not gluten-free! And our gluten-free buns contains eggs. Hope this helps!

Hello, looking to have a large group (10) have dinner here for a birthday. Do you take reservations or even call aheads to save tables for large groups? Thanks!

Everything is first come first serve but I would recommend calling the pub line a d letting them know if you plan on coming and see if you can send some of your group early to get on the list if we're busy! Thanks for reaching out!

Do you have gluten free menu ? "Celiac disease"

We have certain items that don't contain gluten and if a person has Celiac we do our best to clean off the grill to make that food. We recommend not getting anything fried because the oil has possibly had exposure we can't filter.… Read more

Is there out door/patio seating? If there is outdoor seating, is it covered?

It is covered and we have it available but we have had really aggressive bees and hornets. So have been working on that. Hopefully we'll be back to seating it soon.

Are there happy hour specials? If so, when is it and what are the specials?

We don't have happy hour yet. We're working on it maybe for the Fall and football season. Thanks for checking in!

Is there audio on your TV's?

We can if the game is played on all TV's but it is tough when multiple games are on. Hope this helps and hope to see you soon.

The first beer I had was a Mexican Lager. One of my favorite kinds of lagers. The name of this one was Midnight Mariachi. The flavors you will pick up with this beer are a malty and biscuity flavor. I might add this is a dark Mexican Lager as there are light ones as well. The other beer we had was an IPA. This one was called Island Jumper. Flavor features to enjoy with this one are citrus, tropical, some sweetness as well as bitterness and hoppiness. A very good IPA! Good stop for sure and fun brewery to go to if you are in the Tigard area.

We have always been fans of the McMenamins family of restaurants, hotels, and bars. After living in…read morethe Pacific Northwest for many years, we had the chance to visit quite a few of their locations and have always admired their unique approach to hospitality. One of the things we appreciate most is how McMenamins thoughtfully rehabilitates historic properties, preserving their character while giving them new life as welcoming places to gather. Each location seems to have its own personality and story, which makes visiting them feel special. Today, we had the opportunity to stop by this location, which we had not visited before. We were only planning to grab a quick lunch/dinner and get back on the road, so we didn't explore the property or dive into its history on this visit, but it's clearly a place worth spending more time at in the future. For our meal, my wife ordered a salad, I ordered a pizza, and we shared a side of Cajun tots with their housemade Ranch. Everything was enjoyable and hit the spot for a casual, satisfying stop. We'd happily return when we have more time to take in the full experience. A few things we've noticed over the years from our experiences with McMenamins: Many of their establishments introduce you to pieces of history you never really knew existed. There's often a surprising depth to the stories behind the properties, and even a quick visit can leave you wanting to learn more. Their beer can be very tasty and original, with a variety of offerings that feel thoughtfully crafted and true to their brand. As for the food, it generally lands in the realm of upscale bar fare, or perhaps bar food that wants to be upscale. Most menus are fairly similar from location to location. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and enjoyable; it just sometimes feels like it's presenting itself as something a bit more elevated than it actually is. The pricing tends to follow that same pattern, occasionally feeling a bit ambitious for what's being served. Service can be great, but it can also be hit or miss, and it's wise to be prepared to wait a little longer than expected at times. That said, the atmosphere and grounds at many of their locations are truly outstanding. You can wander the properties for quite a while at many of their locations and still not see everything. The level of detail throughout, both inside and out, is often absolutely amazing and is what really sets McMenamins apart.
