    The Fort George hazy

We have seen this location change owners for many years. We had some friends in town and wanted a close brew pub to take them to, we remember that new owners had taken over the local tap house. What a great change, it use to have a simi pushing owners that had brought in many coolers to push sales of their brew, we stopped coming by. We are so happy with the new ownership and casual feel they have brought to the neighborhood. My friend was celebrating his 80 some birthday and he loves micro-brews, we tried three pints, a hazy, a brown and a stout, they were all excellent. We liked them so much we took three cans home!! The food options were a nice surprise. We had the chicken Tinga nachos, they have a variety of other protein options, we split some happy hour nachos with chicken , they were loaded with cheese, jalapeños, onions and tomatoes. Well worth it, we also split the chips and salsa, a little plain but they matched well with the brew. The staff is super friendly and engaged as we sampled multiple beers, we really enjoyed the laid back feel and vibe, I cannot wait to visit again with more friends! Hope they get Sunday Ticket , it would be a great addition to the laid back feel that a sports bar lacks.

Such a cool place and right down the road! Yummy food - great drinks and reasonable prices for both! I hosted a group of 15 here for happy hour recently and everyone loved it! Definitely my new happy hour spot!

Ok. I used to come here when it was Pacific Growlers and loved it. We moved away and Covid hit. We returned and they sold it to Brew Stop. They took away the electronic tap list (because it was too much ...but then couldn't be bothered to recommend anything and hired this East Coast dude who was rude. ) Before you come at me about East Coast.. I grew up with a Long Island stepfather.. so .. don't. This guy at Brew Stop was so off-putting that we, friends and family collectively, stopped going. I saw it closed and was reopening and was able to stop in today. Brian & Kristina (with a K.. Heyy) were so welcoming. The tables and decor are so inviting and comfortable!! We will be back. You should come by too! I have not had the food but the owners and the vibe are immediately welcoming!

Great place to grab some food and a beer. Hangout with friends and play a game (they have many to chose from)

Like the previous reviewer - we used to come here all the time when it was Pacific Growlers, but when it was sold to Brew Stop it lost all it's charm.

Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

Don't let the outside stop you from going in…read more Friendly service at the counter, place your order and pay. Find a seat (it's small and a bit crowded). Food comes to you pretty quick. We ordered 1/2 Chicago beef and 1/2 chicken parm. The bread is the winner! So crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Beef was a little dry for being in the au jus but still good, big chucks of chicken breast with flavorful sauce was also good. Will be back to try one of the cold sandwiches next.
