I've never had a burger where I saw the sauce added like cake decorating. Or thought pleasure and burger could be said back to back and compliment each other. I was a leery looking in the window because it was a little dark but all was good. I got the BBQ burger which had jalapeños on it; new for me. It was a good BBQ burger. The jalapeños gave it an extra kick. Oh, and the burgers are smash burgers. I thought there would be a lot of meat but they're well wrapped as to not make a mess. We also got an order of fries each, small size and that was just right. I didn't have any nuggets but my daughter said they were good. I know it's a burger joint but don't hide the nuggets. Kids dig em! The staff was friendly and took pride in their work and their restaurant. I would go back again. Oh, did I mention the Hot Wheels on the wall added a cool touch?
This place is really good, was hesitant on trying a new place bc I was so hungry but so glad I tried it! Portion sizes are small for the price which sucks. This is a large size fry for two people which is not enough. Service is as really good with friendly people
Ooof. This was the most amazing burger. I had the western because I wanted an onion ring. The best cooked smash patties, absolute top notch. I got the fries as well and they were crispy and soft on the inside. Small spot, very clean and efficient. Clean bathroom which was great for the kiddo to wash hands.
After a long day of walking in the sun, my group and I needed something salty but not too filling. We decided on this place and we ate it so fast, it must've been a record. Within my group the reviews come in at a total of 8.5/10. the smashed burgers were good, just lacked that oomph. Similar to in-and-out burgers but their smash sauce is not as good as the in-and-out burger sauce. ( Sometimes the condiments really bring it all together) The fries were crispy and soft in the inside, but I wouldn't recommend the parm ones. It was just too much goin on, overpowered the actual fry. The workers were kind and asked us how we liked it as we were leaving ( which is sweet to me). For the price, I personally would come back for a salty treat.
Needed a quick bite before a comedy show downtown. A 'hole in the wall', not much seating, but they definitely make it work. Pretty decent food too. While prices are decent for downtown, it does add up quick. Everything is al la cart. We did the bbq bacon burger, pb burger, parm chicken nuggets, and parm fries. Everything was really good. Good service too - cool to see them being able to make our food. Near pioneer square; parking can be difficult, but max is just a couple blocks away.
Great burger joint tried the peanut butter, pickled bacon, burger, and thought that was a great tasting burger and and their version of killer burgers of course but I think that burger's been around before those places but who would know I don't... Lol. Anyways, the other burgers were great too, and the staff was really nice and the fries with the Parmesan on it delicious. I highly recommend coming here and trying some of the food out. I would like to try more of it out next time I come with my buddy.
Burger was a Excellent- it sure if better with less or without pickles as was 5. Jr smash- kids ate quickly without hesitation. Dropped 1 star for sanitation: grill cook kept touching the ready to eat buns with his bare hand and using the same bare hand to push the grilled patty onto the bun from the taping knife/spatula.
It's been a while since we've visited...actually didn't know they had a new location. Happy to find them again! Still just as good as I remember. Fabulous crispy edges, tasty fries, a unique smash sauce, and great customer service. A proper smash experience!
Atmosphere: Casual quick burger spot. Food: Did not like the BBQ burger at all. The Pleasure Burger was a decent smash burger. Not the best burger place I've had but not the worst. Price: Prices are reasonable Service: Walk up to the counter to order. Ordered to go. Food took a surprisingly long time even though it didn't seem that busy. Guys that worked there were friendly though. Parking: Street parking. Parking is difficult in this area.
Returned to claim our voucher for 2 free burgers and large fries, and had another amazing experience. The burger quality is consistently excellent, with flavorful meat and so much craggily edges. Fries are well salted. Service was fast and friendly. Bathroom is clean. We even got Nico's ice cream to top off the meal. Left with happy bellies.
Great burger me and my husband tried it for the first time on our vacation from California to Portland today. Found it while just walking had no idea how lucky we were to stumble on this. We had the bbq bacon jalepono burger and damn we snarfed our burgers down. Am so sad there isn't any in California :(
Pleasure burger? Yes I was please. I get pleasure from most burgers. This one? Quite a lot. I was impressed. The burger was legit smashed correctly, the bun was proper. The prices weren't outrageous (though not cheap). This place is legit. The original can go toe to toe with most smash burgers in the city, if not all. The peanut butter, bacon? Pickle is a knock off of killer burgers. It wasn't done as well but it was close. The fries had a lot to be desired. The aioli not aioli-ey enough for me. Overall all very good. The place is sleek inside and in a convenient place downtown. Pleasure burger pleased me. (4.7 Stars)
Order: coke, lg salted waffle fry, western BBQ B Pros: the service was great and the location seems pretty good. That sauce they serve with the frys is hella good!! Side note: The food was just okay in my opinion. I really dont get the hype of thin patties/smash burgers. They were not filling. The cost was astronomical $20 in comparison to another burger place I go to that has really good and filling burgers for a dollar cheaper. Cons: so i sat at the counter and I watched the workers make the burgers. The guy on the grill used no gloves while on grill but then would drop the burger patties off for the Sandwich to be made often touching the patties with his bare hands and then touching the ingredients with no gloves. The guy who was next to him making the burgers to specification had on gloves so it was interesting to see both digging in the produce and making burgers with or without gloves.
Got the mushroom Swiss burger, peanut butter bacon burger, pleasure burger, Parmesan chive waffle fries, and salted waffle fries. Seriously one of my fav burger spots in PDX that I came here more than once! I'm a sucker for smash burgers so this place definitely hits the spot for me. Honestly after trying their peanut butter bacon burger here, it really got me more into sweet/savory dishes. I like how it's made to order and the crispy crust of the patty brings it together. The waffle fries are seasoned well and has a good crunch to it. Definitely recommend for your next burger craving! read more

Service was great! I had small smash burger. It just the right size for me. Tasted fresh. Fries are all good! The most amazing part is the price. No tax of course, but my total lunch costed $10. Wow! I was not fun of their them and decor. Ambiance ok otherwise. read more

Kicked off our Portland adventure with a stop at Pleasure Burger! It was my first time trying a smashed burger, and I found this place on Yelp. Quick, tasty, and hit the spot. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We tried the pleasure burger, the western BBQ bacon, and the parmesan & chive waffle fries. My top picks? That western BBQ bacon burger and those addictive fries - we liked them so much, we ordered another round! As tourists, we even got a list of local food recommendations from the team - talk about going the extra mile. A+ for service, food, and good vibes. read more

It's not listed on the menu, but they do gluten free buns! Also a lettuce bed if you want low carb. The peanut butter burger is a must - you can't find anything like this anywhere else. The garlic parm fries and nuggets are amazing too. 10/10!!! Vito had amazing customer service too. read more
Smashburger Mecca! Pleasure Burger had super high marks for their burgers so we had to give it a whirl. The menu was super simple - 5 burger options, a few hot dog options, and waffle fries, plain or Parmesan with dipping sauces. My son and I had their peanut butter bacon smashburger and my wife had their standard pleasure burger. They were all amazing! The sweet to savory ratio on the peanut butter bacon burger was perfect! The waffle fries with their burger sauce or garlic aioli was also delicious! Give this place a try! read more

Got the regular smashburger. It was a juicy, crispy, and charred burger with a soft bun, caramelized onions, and a mustardy mayo sauce. Parmesan waffle fries were ok, but the burger was delicious. Good customer service. It was busy when we got there so we had to wait for seats to open up but once we got the food it cleared up and many tables were open. read more
This place is an explosion of flavor! I had the Western BBQ Bacon Burger and the Parmesan and Chive Waffles Fries. It was the perfect combo of bright flavors to switch from. This place was busy! Sad to say, I was a bit disappointed. The smash, while nice and thin with lacey edges, had absolutely no crispness, char, or bark to it. The toppings were kinda sloppy, but did come together to make a good flavor, but just not that texture and that taste of smashed beef that really draws me to this style. The waffle fries were pretty good and I might come back here just for those. I think their business would triple were they to turn this counter into a real bar and were they to take lessons from Iron Strike on how to properly smash and char a burger. read more
