Quite good. I remember eating here for the first time around 2016 and have always wanted to go back. I got the Pendleton burger, it was as good as I remember, I got tons of fries along with it which was great. It was around 16 dollars, but it's a 2 dollar up charge for fries......yes, they charge you extra for fries....at a burger place...they default to potato chips (cheaper for them). I don't care what your "reasoning" is, charging extra for fries at a burger place is pathetic. In terms of service, can't comment too much since I got takeout, but the women there seemed nice and the place was fairly clean, I couldn't make out any dirty areas. They have a few tables outside, on a nice summer day it would be a nice place for lunch. Parking. There's no real parking for this areas since it's in busy street, so you'll have to park a block or two away most of the time, but it's not a big deal. I got the Fort Steven's burger which was delicious, definitely a good amount of blue cheese which is what I look for in a bleu cheese burger! And not overkill on the mushrooms. I also got the cow fries which were highly recommended to me and if you like garlic you'll probably enjoy them. I could have done with regular fries though, it may have been flavor overkill with the burger. The fries were extreeeemely garlicky. This is a great option for a burger in a cool, relaxed environment and the service was top notch. We had a super friendly server but not in an over-the-top fake way, just authentic and nice. We came over for lunch on Friday afternoon. It was busy when we came in. No wait. Got a table right away. They sell tap beers. Lots of good decorations. We ordered a Cheese Ballz as an appetizer. Came deep fried with marinara sauce. I ordered a Hawaii 503 burger and my friend ordered a El Chupacabra with good roasted jalapenos. Very heavy burger. The sides were falling onto the plate. My Hawaii 503 has mango pieces on it and it was delicious. Very flavorful. Absolutely love the teriyaki glazed pineapple. Juicy burger with yummy flavors of pineapple and mango. This is always been one of our go to places for a burger and fries. Last few times have been a little disappointing though. My wife and I tried the burger special. Brie cheese, pineapple salsa and bacon on a brioche bun. Mine on a gf bun, $3 extra. The specials are a good deal at $12 for the burger and fries. Interesting combo. Super sweet though. After a few bites the sweetness became overpowering. We made the choice to order them however, balancing the sweetness is on them. Bigger issue was the fries. We got a lot of them for sure. Very inconsistent cook. Some were as crispy as a potato chip, some just overcooked. Definitely not freshly made. They have 2 large metal bowls at the cooking station filled with fries. But the young teen girls with attitude not ok. Slamming chairs , complaining because it's busy. Wow! That was terrific! Everything was so good. Only thing missing was cocktails. I had a burger with pepper jack, crispy banana peppers, guacamole, and Chipotle mayo. So good. But the Bleu fries and caprese slides were the real winners. We also had the fresh marionberry lemonade and that was delicious also. The Local Cow has been my go-to spot when I want a thick burger. Every time I come here, I need a long nap right after. The Hawaii 503 burger is very easy to eat. You don't get sick of the same fatty flavor because there is BBQ sauce and pineapple to help cut through it. The Rockwood burger was an underdog for sure. I usually avoid getting burgers with guacamole because all you can taste is the guacamole. This burger actually NEEDS the guacamole to help bring all the flavors together. The sliders were actually really good, but really basic. I would get them again if I just wanted the taste of beef and onions. Also, I HIGHLY recommend that you upgrade your regular fries to cow fries because they are extremely addicting. You won't regret it Overall, a very nice burger place to stuff yourself. I got a cheeseburger with onion and mustard and they offered me a choice of mustard. It was good, but not sure if it was onion or the meat but it was a bit lumpy. It was rather too well done for me and too thin, but much thicker than a smash burger, which I don't like at all. Still far better than McDonalds so maybe a 4 star? This was my first time here and I was pretty impressed. We ordered the Wilson Hill sandwich-- bacon between two burger patties covered with cheese in between two grilled cheese sandwiches!! SOOO good! It comes with chips, we upgraded to fires. However, when they brought it out we had the chips on the plate-- they quickly brought out the fires, but we also got to try the chips.
