We were so ready to stuff our faces as soon as we saw a Dave's hot chicken nearby!! This place has some amazing seasoned foods, crispy and juicy chicken, with delicious pickles. I got the chicken slider with fries and a tender in a medium and I am salivating just writing about it. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, the perfect amount of crisp and spice. Same with the fries. I love the seasonings and the crisp while dunking it in their sauce. AMAZING. And the pickles they use, truly perfect. Service was fast, fresh, and fantastic. This was my second time visiting Dave's Hot Chicken. The first time I had their chicken meal was at a different location. Although the meal was very good, I thought the chicken was very salty. I thought perhaps the hot sauce made it extra salty. This time I ordered the same #3 meal. I ordered hot for the slider and medium for the tender. This branch made the chicken just right. To my surprise, the hot chicken sliders was not too salty like last time. Both pieces were prepared perfectly. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly. The Dave's hot chicken chain has become my favorite of all the franchise fried chicken places. Fun funky atmosphere. Tender, moist, well-seasoned chicken pieces and fantastic crinkle-cut fries. And way up on my factors is great consistency of product quality. That's one variable that other chains have fallen short. We had the #3 which consists of one tender and one slider. At Dave's Hot, the term slider is sort of a misnomer in that the sandwich is pretty good sized. I shared the #3 with my honey for a small but perfectly adequate lunch. Overly seasoned chicken can be too salty but not here. The only reason for 4-stars is lack of value ($14 for a middling sized fast food lunch seems pricey), but maybe in this age of "unaffordability," those are tge "new normal" prices. It'd be nice if Dave's Hot would occasionally have & advertise some deals & specials. read more

We were really excited to check out Dave's Hot Chicken now that it's open in Gresham--and it didn't disappoint! My son is a picky eater who usually only likes a few types of chicken nuggets, but he absolutely loved them here. My boyfriend and I shared the sliders basket with medium spice. The sliders, fries, and pickles were all delicious, and the portion was perfect for sharing. While we enjoyed the medium spice for its flavor, it wasn't quite hot enough for our taste, so we'll definitely be trying a hotter level next time. I believe the spice options range from No Spice, Lite Mild, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot, all the way up to Reaper. A special shoutout to the young woman who took our order--her name started with an "L," and she was amazing. Super friendly, energetic, and honestly provided some of the best customer service we've experienced in a while. She even went around to check on all the tables and brought me a to-go container for our leftovers, which is a rare level of service in a fast-casual spot. She truly deserves recognition--and a raise! We also loved the fun, vibrant decor and colorful murals. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back! read more

The sliders had the best meat, bun, and slaw combo, while the #2 sandwich featured a thick, juicy piece of chicken--great if you prefer more meat. The buns were soft, sweet (Hawaiian-style), and held up well. Disappointed by false advertising for the app promotion: we downloaded the app for the "free drink" but didn't receive it when ordering or at pickup. The cashier was unaware of the offer and didn't help or offer a solution. The new Gresham location is perfect for us--closer than Sandy, though we wish it had a drive-thru. It was very busy but service was fast. We ordered via the app, but there was no designated pickup counter. Despite the monitor showing our order was ready, we had to wait in the main line. A clear pickup area would improve the experience. Also, no one verified our order--my husband just gave the name on the screen, and they handed it over. It worked out, but it's easy to imagine someone else claiming an order that's not theirs. Overall, a great experience. The food was amazing and we'll definitely be back. First of all very disappointed and Owner who will say how bad you feel and how you will make it right..don't bother I already contacted and all that was going to happen was a $20 credit so keep it. I spent $132 nice tip for grub hub but the one really bad thing is if you make an order and your employees don't read it or pay attention then it's really not worth it..I had multiple things missing orders wrong and normally I'd ignore it and move on but this was really bad. Went here this evening and I was very impressed by the employees service and attentiveness! Not the usual for a fast food place like this... and it was super clean inside! I was also impressed by the number of employees working to crank all the orders out! The dining room wasn't crazy busy, but it appeared that they had a ton of online orders going out. The food was good! Exactly what I'd expect and have had before from Dave's. I was happy that my fries weren't soggy (like a lot of other take-outs) by the time I got home! GRAND OPENING WAS EPICC!!! If I was able to give this Dave's a 100000/5 I would but It gets a 5/5. Really friendly staff,, Although it's busy they are fast. And my order has been made right every time I came in!!! I would recommend going to this location. Clean environment. Good energy. Dare I say best dave's in Oregon!!!! Lastly the food is so good. Well, I've tried Dave's twice now and I'm definitely NOT impressed. $16 for 2 chicken tenders and a little basket of fries? Yes, the tenders are large, but that's unreal. Also, I'm not a fan of spice, so both times I ordered, I asked for chicken without spice. The first was in sliders and the second was this time with tenders. Apparently at Dave's, "no spice" also means NO SALT, because both times, they gave me the blandest chicken I've ever tasted! The fries are just ok and the mac and cheese? Not good. Salty "cheese" slop on noodles. I just don't get the hype. In my opinion, you can find much better food for the price elsewhere! read more

It's great having more food options in the area, but the food here has been hit or miss. A few times we ordered cheese fries (and paid extra), but just got plain fries--no cheese. Food is good and the staff are very good. The chicken strips are big and good, the rub they use is good but gets on everything. They could use better napkins and maybe moist hand wipes. But all in all I liked it and a little improvement here and there it will be great.
