I struggle with this because I wanted to like it a lot but a couple of things feel very short. My teammates and I wanted to go have a little meal together. It was close to the office and not very busy at 10 o'clock. When you come in you basically go up to the counter and order and then they bring it to your table. There is a little sort of patio type enclosed area, must be in addition they added. Plenty of spaces to sit. The decor is mainly honeybees and they seem to promote that quite a bit. They have lots of coffee options which was great. And a pretty extensive menu. We all ordered something different. I had two pancakes and besides the maple syrup taste they were very bland. I actually had to use my knife to cut them as the texture was just really off for me. My iced mocha with honey was actually really good so I liked that. Feedback from coworkers were that we would not go there again because there are better options. One had a Reuben with fries that looked fabulous and she really enjoyed it. Two of them had omelettes and kept adding salt. They both commented how nothing on the plate had flavor. One had avocado toast that was absolutely beautiful and she liked that. And the other had some type of breakfast sandwich and she said she would not get that again. We tried it and it seems to do well just not for us. Not for me. read more

Top notch biscuits and gravy. Gravy is rich and contains sausage and herbs. It it good on everything. The biscuits are buttermilk (twang!) and just the right density. They aren't the flakey kind but the cakey kind. When I asked about which protein the server recommends she said bacon for sure because they have a peppered bacon that's special. It was, too. It was that chewy, thick cut, fully rendered but not crispy, lardon that was strong with black pepper flavor. So good. My dad mentioned that even the eggs are higher quality than regular eggs. The yolks did look more intense than typical eggs. At Nanna's you order at the counter, and pay, and then go sit down with your little table stand that has your name written in chalk. So many servers checked on us and refilled our water and asked how our breakfast was, I can see why it's so busy here. Just a perfect breakfast place. I haven't been for lunch but I noticed lunch prices are less than breakfast places. The only thing I would change about Nanna's is the price. You order then pay at the counter. Pick a seat and they bring your food, along with water and utensils. I ordered the omelet special. Bacon, cheese. Wife tried the bees knees scramble, see menu. Both come with country potatoes and toast. Food arrived quickly. Honestly disappointed. Potatoes tasted heated not fresh. My omelet was OK. Ate pretty dry. Bacon was cut small. Hard to appreciate the apple smoked flavor Wife's scramble again only OK. Zucchini was basically raw. Inconsistent cook. Toast was more warm bread and butter. Sadly can't say anything was more than pedestrian. At close to 3 maybe breakfast isn't a good choice. Quite a few critiques, however still a decent breakfast. Starting off super cute and clean right when you walk in, and great music playing 80s and not too loud. We were greeted and we sat ourselves. I saw the Rueben on the menu and it did not disappoint. It's massive, it's fresh, it's delicious. My daughter ordered breakfast bisquit and gravy. It was also very flavorful. She loved it. Our first visit to Nanna's was delightful. Order at the counter and grab a table. The staff is so warm and genuinely nice and brings your order to you when it's ready. There is seating inside or in the enclosed patio. The food was simply AMAZING!! I also loved the plating of our food. Our order included the Farmhouse omelette and the TBA with fries. The bacon in the sandwich was so good. We had to include the strawberry/blackberry French toast when a regular in front of us ordered it. The best French toast I've ever had. We made reservations at Nanna's Place for the very first time on Thanksgiving and were excited to give it a try after all of the favorable reviews we'd seen online. Unfortunately, we ended up at the emergency vet for most of the day, having to cancel our reservation at the very last minute. Considering it was Thanksgiving and we hadn't made alternative preparations, we were beyond grateful that they were willing to turn our reservation into a to go order. They were so gracious about it, too, which was much appreciated. And the food...it was so good! This was our second Thanksgiving choosing a restaurant over cooking at home. We were hesitant to choose a restaurant again after the food we experienced last year but I'm glad we tried again because Nanna's Place did not disappoint. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was packed with veggies! Mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, tomatoes, onions and a bit of feta cheese. Savory and the veggies were cooked just right... delish! My honey had the Reuben sandwich, it wasn't a traditional Reuben as it was made with corn beef however he loved it! Quote "we should have came here yesterday." We also had to taste their French toast which was one of the best I've had in a very long time... fluffy and very tasty even without syrup. The overall experience was amazing! The food was good. I had the breakfast sandwich and the omelet in it was so big I couldn't eat it all. My husband had the chicken fried steak with potatoes and he liked it. It was fairly busy and that seems to be a normal thing for this place. I need to go back and try one of their cinnamon rolls. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Ok, I fell in love with Nanna's because of the breakfast menu. (they do have a dinner menu that is new. I will get to that in a second) The name didn't do it for me because both of my grandmothers didn't really cook for us boys growing up. If my nana or grangran served food as good as this place I would have never learned about the rest of the world! Their breakfast menu is great from basic eggs and bacon to awesome farmhouse specials! The coffee is firm not weak nor is it over powering ... I never turn it down and I count it as my coffee for the day. The service is started at the walk-up counter and they take it from there. By the time you leave they will have have made it back to your table to make sure your experience was the best. If they're super busy on a weekend and they don't get to your table to say hi, the food will be so delicious you'll come back! So now onto the dinner menu, the dinner menu is only served Thursday Friday Saturday. This is a new service and they want to do it right and so far their chicken and dumplings sell out even if a double-batch is made! Last night I got there a little late and I was dying for real chicken and dumplings ... they had it and I got the last bowl! This recipe was better than Tad's chicken and dumplings on the old highway, which was pretty good 30 years ago but 15 years ago they changed the recipe and it had a lot of canned processed food added and canned vegetables and the only good thing they had at Tads chicken and dumplings was good beer and a view. As I looked up at what I didn't order, it made me wonder if the Meatloaf would have been better? O my the menu was pretty tempting to order to go but I contained myself so I could bring my wife back next week. The amount of love and care that those folks put into your meal is fully deserving of a name like "Nanna's Place"!
