This was great! The franchise owner was there and seemed very engaged with his team. We ordered 8subs for our team with varying special instructions and they captured everything. This sucks because it was a beautifully put together sandwich and as a first responder, I want to support first responders. I was coming home from a very long shift and wanting to eat the dinner, breakfast and lunch I missed while working. The place was nice, not busy, around 2pm. Only two tables were sat. There were two ladies at the counter and a small huddle of employees in the back going over information. I ordered a medium turkey bacon sandwich with no onion. I had her read the order back, confirming no onion. She told the sandwich maker the order and again stated no onion. Afterwards, to be clear, I stated it was an actual onion allergy, to close the loop of communication. She nodded in acknowledgement and said there would be no onions on my food. I checked the chips for a non onion chip (salt and vinegar is my safe bet) I received the order very quickly. It had a tag that said no onion on the bag. I walked to my car and almost double checked the order. I second guessed myself with triple communication and the place was efficient and should care about food safety. I drove the rest of the 30 minute commute home go enjoy my meal prior to a long awaited nap... when I opened the box, my throat started to tighten and immediately coughed. I knew there was a problem. Freshly cut onions ALL over the sandwich. I circled back to receipt to make sure it was ordered correctly. When I called to let the manager know, she was nice, never asked if I ate the sandwich, never asked if I was okay. Offered me a gift card or refund. I am taking refund. The sandwich has to go in the bin outside. If you look at prior reviews, I cannot in good faith give any review but a one star review for any food safety risk. If you don't have an ingredient allergy, I would imagine this would be a lovely place to have a meal. read more

Are all of their subs serve warm? With bread that seems not that toasted? Don't get me wrong. I've heard great things about this place as far as a standard sandwich shop goes. I came in with a promo figured I've seen it 1,000,000 I'll give it a shot. With that said, I grabbed a medium hook and ladder of brownie and a drink. Yeah, Sortman on the sandwich was very good. I think it would've been better if it was served cold, or if the thing overall was much more toasted I felt it was kind of in the middle ground like a sandwich that I've left in the car for too long. I mean ingredient seem fresh and the bread was very pretty things were done well but I think it would've been a lot better cold with a vinegar and oil, salt and pepper... Basically, I'm just driving jersey Mike's... and I am no jersey Mike's fan, but I would definitely head that way over this. We came here on a deal because we happened to be in the area. The place is really pretty nice inside and clean. Staff were really friendly and fast. Got a hook and ladder and thought it was pretty tasty, had good flavor. Also went with the chicken and dumpling soup. Don't get me wrong, it was a good soup, but I kind of wish I'd tried the chili instead. It did seem a little pricey for a simple sandwich compared to other places, but the specialty ones sound really delish and for those the prices seem in line. read more

Ok let me start by saying when I get offered free food, I say thank you. Today at work my manager treated EVERYONE with their choice of sandwich (notice I didn't say "Sub" or "Grinder"?) from Firehouse Subs. There is a reason for that. My boss handed me a small little paper take out box. Inside was one of the saddest looking steak and cheese sandwiches I had ever seen. Now I always thought that these sandwiches were supposed to be good enough for people who fight fires. It is my opinion that any firefighter would take one look at this sandwich and laugh. These subs are some of my favorites! They are consistently delicious and, after trying several different ones, I can say that each one I have had has been terrific. My family and I drive through Gresham about once a month from Spring to Fall and we always make it a point to stop here...both directions. :) My entire family loves their sandwiches and are always excited when we stop. We tend to order ahead through the app so we can just swing in and grab the food without waiting in line. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location is markedly better than the other, good enough where I won't mind going if the opportunity presents itself again. My smokehouse beef brisket was very tender, but also very fatty. The bread was fresh and flavorful, and the barbecue sauce was not overly sweet as it tends to be at most chains. Appear to be a newer sandwich chain. Kind of looks like a mix of Five Guys and Togos. Food was good and the service was great.

Pretty expensive for what you get. If you are getting a boring regular sandwich, Jimmy Johns and Subway are several dollars less, for about the same quality. However, Firehouse has really good specialty subs. Don't fall for the combo "deal" $3.89 isn't a great price for tiny bag of chips and a large fountain drink. Ends up nearly $20 per person pretty easily. That's too much $$ for what you get. Really good drink selection. Always very clean and friendly. read more

Decided to check this place out after being open for several months. The employees were friendly and the restaurant was clean. Even the smaller details, like the napkin boxes on the tables, were presentable and clean. I was surprised at how good the sub was that I ordered. I got the Hook and Ladder, which I had heard was their signature sub. It was just hot enough, the meats were good, not too salty and the bread was a perfect combination for the warmth of the sandwich. Seemed like a good value for the $. I noticed the hot sauce bar on my way out, nice touch. I was really impressed with the decor as well. Seemed like they really took the time to make it unique to the area, with a giant mural of our local town with an engine on it depicting the actual logo of the department. There were fire hats for the kids laid out on the high chairs and photos of the local fire fighters and their vehicles on the walls. My bf and I order here often! We drive 15-20 minutes from across town to pick up sometimes. This most recent time we ordered online today and we picked up in store. Super convenient, there's a rack that is designated for it. Our order was just about to be ready and when they called our name we grabbed it and left. By the time we got home we realized the second sub order was wrong so we called them to let them know we got someone else's sub! They were super nice and said they'll make the correct one and we turned right back around to pick it up. It was ready by the time we came back! The staff here is great. read more

Had a free Italian sub reward from T-mobile so we decided to try the subs at our local gresham store. Also ordered the club and the tuna. They got the order wrong on the tuna sandwich in that they included tomatoes and onions in error and failed to add extra mayo as requested. This was easily corrected at home though. The bread was nicely toasted on all sandwiches. I loved the spicy salami on the Italian but it could use more Italian dressing on the sandwich. All of them held together well and had a good amount of ingredients. Lots of parking. Staff was pleasant. read more

Delicious!! I was fire introduced to Firehouse subs about 9 years ago when I lived in Virginia. I was so excited some years ago when I first heard Oregon was getting some locations!! Hands down my favorite sub shop (next to Jersey Mike's) This particular location gets it right every time! Never had a bad sub, food is delicious, place is clean, and staff is nice! Subs are fair price and like most places you can get add one like chips and drinks. I love the hot sub options, I'm not really a cold sub gal. They have such a good variety too! Ingredients are fresh and I never wonder is my food is being made properly. I love this place for s quick lunch! Placed an online group order with Uber eats. The sandwiches were not numbered in a way that corresponded with the receipt. I called and asked how to figure out which sandwich is which without opening every box. I suggested they find a better way to verify sandwiches on group orders, I was told that they didn't think it mattered. Walked in without a mask. Asked to wear one. I replied with a question. "Are you a medical professional?" The server said, "No." Then I said, why are you telling me to wear one? Only health professionals can prescribe medical grade masks. Manager comes out, "Sir, you have to wear a mask." I said, "NO, I don't." She said, you'll have to leave. I said, "You're breaking the law. ORS559a.403 states specifically if you are a public place of accomodation, you must give full and equal access to anyone with a medical and/or religious exemption. I have both." She took the paper and threw it back at me saying, "I don't have to comply with anything." Worst customer service ever. Never going back. Not recommending them to anyone. Whats not to love about this place? Not only do they make great sandwiches but they also support local First Responders. This place does get pretty busy so we usually just get our sandwiches to go. Best way to do this is to use their app to order. Pick what you want, customize your sandwich, tell them what time you'll be there and pay. There's never been a time when my order hasn't been ready at the time I selected. No waiting in lines or anything. Can't complain about that! read more

Good sub, great drink selection, good selection of sides (soup, chips, cookies). I had a New York Steamer, large size. It was a giant sandwich and filled me up more than I intended. I could actually taste the corned beef and pastrami, which means they use decent ingredients. Large drink and a bag of chips rounded it out. Atmosphere is great. The restaurant is very clean, they have a couple of TVs showing sports/NASCAR. The menu is neat and easy to read. The staff were friendly, with one of the guys giving me the full rundown of how they make subs and how the ordering process works when I explained it was my first time visiting. Kudos to that guy, I really appreciated that. The problem? The price. Overall the meal was $13.50, which is very expensive for a sandwich, chips and soda. You're competing with Subway in the sandwich market, and they're right down the street with subs that are about $3-5 cheaper. Even though Subway has lower quality, the price point justifies it, and you still end up being full. 4/5 for Firehouse. Good food, but expensive. Subway is a better option if you want to spend under $10. Firehouse is the place to go if you want a higher quality experience all around. It's just going to cost you more. read more

I find myself going to Firehouse every month or so. The food and service are both consistently very good. The employees bring the food to our table, and often times come to collect the garbage when we're done but haven't gotten up to leave yet. The restaurant is always clean and well stocked. They've never messed up an order, and the quality is consistently good. Sandwich is always fresh and hot. No complaints from me whatsoever. read more

I come here occasionally for my fill of sandwiches, but the management there is downright atrocious. The manager working the cash register asked me if I wanted to donate to their charity, and I declined. If I'm going to tip, it's going to the workers. At the other side of the counter I noticed a separate tip jar for the actual employees. It was small, out of sight to the workers, and not even attached to the counter. Anyone could take it without the workers knowing, meanwhile their charity donation jar was locked behind the counter. If I could offer some advice to the workers of this establishment; quit, strike, or join a union. This company is monstrous, the sandwich tasted fine though. read more

Love this place. We first tried firehouse over in Vancouver, so we were happy this one opened a while back here in Gresham. As a lover of sweet tea- this place is a must. We have tried many different subs as a family of 4 and have enjoyed them all.
