Pretty sand which
Tracie S.

This sucks because it was a beautifully put together sandwich and as a first responder, I want to support first responders. I was coming home from a very long shift and wanting to eat the dinner, breakfast and lunch I missed while working. The place was nice, not busy, around 2pm. Only two tables were sat. There were two ladies at the counter and a small huddle of employees in the back going over information. I ordered a medium turkey bacon sandwich with no onion. I had her read the order back, confirming no onion. She told the sandwich maker the order and again stated no onion. Afterwards, to be clear, I stated it was an actual onion allergy, to close the loop of communication. She nodded in acknowledgement and said there would be no onions on my food. I checked the chips for a non onion chip (salt and vinegar is my safe bet) I received the order very quickly. It had a tag that said no onion on the bag. I walked to my car and almost double checked the order. I second guessed myself with triple communication and the place was efficient and should care about food safety. I drove the rest of the 30 minute commute home go enjoy my meal prior to a long awaited nap... when I opened the box, my throat started to tighten and immediately coughed. I knew there was a problem. Freshly cut onions ALL over the sandwich. I circled back to receipt to make sure it was ordered correctly. When I called to let the manager know, she was nice, never asked if I ate the sandwich, never asked if I was okay. Offered me a gift card or refund. I am taking refund. The sandwich has to go in the bin outside. If you look at prior reviews, I cannot in good faith give any review but a one star review for any food safety risk. If you don't have an ingredient allergy, I would imagine this would be a lovely place to have a meal.

We came here on a deal because we happened to be in the area. The place is really pretty nice inside and clean. Staff were really friendly and fast. Got a hook and ladder and thought it was pretty tasty, had good flavor. Also went with the chicken and dumpling soup. Don't get me wrong, it was a good soup, but I kind of wish I'd tried the chili instead. It did seem a little pricey for a simple sandwich compared to other places, but the specialty ones sound really delish and for those the prices seem in line.

This sad sandwich sported a flacid pickle spear.

Ok let me start by saying when I get offered free food, I say thank you. Today at work my manager treated EVERYONE with their choice of sandwich (notice I didn't say "Sub" or "Grinder"?) from Firehouse Subs. There is a reason for that. My boss handed me a small little paper take out box. Inside was one of the saddest looking steak and cheese sandwiches I had ever seen. Now I always thought that these sandwiches were supposed to be good enough for people who fight fires. It is my opinion that any firefighter would take one look at this sandwich and laugh. If you want a "real" steak sandwich, you should try the Chipotle Steak and cheese sandwich from Jersey Mikes. Now that is a sandwich

First time trying out firehouse and the hot sandwich tasted fresh and delicious! I ordered the Turkey that had mushrooms in it and omg who would've though to add mushrooms into sandwiches? It was really good! I also love the fresh bread, it was soft and tasty. Can't wait to try the others next time.

These subs are some of my favorites! They are consistently delicious and, after trying several different ones, I can say that each one I have had has been terrific. My family and I drive through Gresham about once a month from Spring to Fall and we always make it a point to stop here...both directions. :) My entire family loves their sandwiches and are always excited when we stop. We tend to order ahead through the app so we can just swing in and grab the food without waiting in line. It definitely has saved us some time as there have been several occasions where the line was out the door. Don't worry though, whether you order online or in-store you won't be disappointed. Their sandwiches are worth the wait.

Smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket combo with a cookie, too.

I was basically dragged here on a team lunch event, based on a previous visit at a different location having served among the worst "food" I'd ever had. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location is markedly better than the other, good enough where I won't mind going if the opportunity presents itself again. My smokehouse beef brisket was very tender, but also very fatty. The bread was fresh and flavorful, and the barbecue sauce was not overly sweet as it tends to be at most chains. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the establishment is clean. Prices seem a bit high for portion size and quality.

New York steamer

I picked up my Birthday sandwich, New York steamer on wheat bread with side of pickle, workers were nice and polite. Wheat bread was soft , good portion of corn beef brisket and pastrami. I added hot sauce for more favor.

To go with my review.

Appear to be a newer sandwich chain. Kind of looks like a mix of Five Guys and Togos. Food was good and the service was great.

This location is also a bit small so not really suitable for big groups. We came on a Friday for lunch and there's only 1 kiosk so it takes a while for big groups to order and I don't think they have a person starting another order if it gets too busy. They were out of a couple of the drinks for the kids menu, which was okay because there were 2 other options. Not once did the staff interact with us or say hello to us. The wait time for the food was ok but the server basically ran and threw the food at our table without ever saying anything to us. I ordered a pork katsu sandwich and the pork was VERY dry. I also ordered it normal but when she threw it on the table, she mumbled something "it's not spicy" and but there was clearly some red powder on it and looked like my friend's sandwich that she ordered spicy. We went up to ask the girl and she said they accidentally put the powder on but it's not spicy and that was it. She didn't apologize or offer to exchange it. I think it's unacceptable behavior and I was in disbelief. They were also out of ketchup and we had a whole table of French fries with the kids meals... I have been to the other location a few times and the food and service was good as far as I can remember, but this location is horrible. I will never come back again and will tell all my friends and family about my experience. 2/9- I emailed the business owner like he requested but never got a reply. Don't need to tell me to reach out if you don't care to email back. Thanks.

They put so much care into everything. Listen- always get the salad here. They're always delicious and contain surprises. This time we got marinated rhubarb, which is in season, and which I'm excited to make and put in my own spring salads at home. Also, edible flowers, and while we ate lunch, we saw a worker picking them from the little garden. The sandwich was a shrimp roll, which was great, maybe with homemade bread? It was perfect. The sandwich was zesty, with a remoulade and little pickled jalapeños. And what were those crunchy things on top? Crushed barbecue potato chips! A delightful detail most restaurants wouldn't bother with. And the soft serve sundaes, which are also full of artistry and interesting textures! You have to get one. They go in a "throw everything onto the bun the way we like it" road, so mostly you eat things their way. Sometimes, you just want a burger. Worth checking out again, for sure, this time for the dogs. We've been wanting to find a new burger place for a while now, so when I was on my way home one day I thought I'd stop in at Buhnz, since it was on my way. Lovely, friendly staff, good vibe, it seemed like the whole family was there. I looked over the menu and had to think for a moment. Wasn't it Bourdain who said "You have to ask yourself, when you are making a burger, 'am I actually improving this? It is already almost perfect, so am I making it better by putting things on it?'" Buhnz brings that question into sharp focus. The-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), likes a mushroom Swiss burger. It's not that she isn't adventurous, its that she wasn't there to look at the menu and I wanted to start off with something familiar. No Swiss, no mushrooms. Now, they're not on the menu either, but they're pretty standard, aren't they? That's one of the three or four classic burgers. I got her the cheese burger, straight up, no pickles. It's a good burger, no lie. Juicy enough, maybe a bit too far down the smashburger trail (not enough thickness to retain any pink), but a good all around cheeseburger. Fries are also very tasty. I ordered the Buhnz Burger for myself. This is their eponymous burger, what are they going for? Everything, it would seem. Somewhere under a mountain of very tasty stuff there was a burger, nicely caramelized, tender and juicy. But it was under there somewhere. Everything tasted good. The people are friendly. The vibe is simple, but friendly, the rest is just my biases. Burgers are, to me at least, something that should be available my way, since they are so customizable. Limiting me to a set menu in that context will keep me from stopping as frequently as I might like.
