The toast was crispy, but the filling was very flavorful, and the topping of whipped cream with Oreo crumbs made the whole meal delightful. I ended up taking the bacon and eggs home, since the French Toast was more than enough. Our server was friendly and thorough, despite it being busy. The pancakes themselves were good, but they came with quite a bit more butter than necessary. We also ordered the chicken fried steak, which was tasty, though the potatoes that came with it tasted like they may have been from the day before. I might consider coming back to sit at the bar for cocktails or happy hour, but for a full meal I'm not sure I'd rush back. That said, it could have just been an off day -- there was actually a wait for tables as we were leaving, so clearly the place has a following.

We were surprised that this was a fusion restaurant and the empanadas had more of a Syrian twist Sambusek (so?). What luck to enjoy such delicious food. We started with the cauliflower cashew soup. It was rich, smooth and flavorful. The flatbread served on the side was warm and filling. We then tried the chicken tikka empanadas. Different from the Salvadoran styles we have tried in the past. It was full of mead that was moist but not greasy. I later found out that the beef empanadas and the cheese empanadas were more traditionally Syrian. They also were delicious and the dipping sauces were great. Lastly the Summer Salad was fresh, unique with candied pistachios, peaches, avocados and whatever else was fresh. The dressing was tasty. The owner was friendly, helped with suggestions and welcoming. We will definitely be back. I'm just sad that it is not located where we live in Sonoma County California. If you want fine dining food in a casual / take out atmosphere this is your spot. Great food is great food!
