We were in the area and the reviews looked pretty good. The inside is pretty basic with some tables and a couch area in front of a fireplace (assuming non functional). Video poker is in a separate room. This was a difficult review to write for multiple reasons. First off, the woman making the sandwiches was very friendly and helpful. The king road flyer I ordered along with the tater tots were good. Was it amazing and worth 5 stars, no. The sandwich cost $7.50 and the tater tots $3.50. As a sandwich at this price I would say it was worth the money for sure. The crisp bacon, meat and veggies made for a nice lunch. For the price, I would rate this sandwich higher but in comparison to others I think 3 stars is fair. read more

I've ordered from Mo Betta Deli in the past. I've also been inside and found it a bit underwhelming. The service when I visited was good and our meal was adequate. What you read about the ambiance is correct it's more like the kind of eatery you find on the side of the road in a desolate portion of the state - not fancy and very questionable regarding it's cleanliness. So when I found out I could order thru Door Dash and avoid going in I was happy. I like their sandwiches - how they wrap each half individually. It's a smart way to do it. I get one half of my sandwich and can swap with the Mrs. one of her halves to enjoy both orders. But today's selection came with a note "You gotta pay for the avocado you asked for on your sandwich. It's $0.75 so we're charging you more." Wow. That's not what the online order form said. In fact the online order form shows that it's one of the REQUIRED 5 condiments that can be added to a sandwich. So Mo Betta Deli is ripping me off for $.75. That's fine. I won't order a "make your custom sandwich again not knowing what additional items you're going to charge me which you offered for free. You can't trust anyone anymore even your local deli dive it seems. read more

January 30th halftime. Call in an order for pickup and Judy was more than helpful and friendly! It's been seven months since my last review for Mo Betta, and it seems to be just as picture perfect as it was before. Having someone excited to take you order helps and then finishing it off is even better. Knowing that Judy and other tenants have to deal with all the area and poker players oh, sometimes they have to take care of them first but the food is always been so far so good. This time a little sparse on meat and toppings but still ok. Establishment itself could use a bit more lighting so I hope the owners dress it up a bit more knowing it's kind of tough in these times. read more

Don't have high expectations. The ladies were really nice, however I wouldn't call this a deli. More like a homey place with sandwiches that were made at home. Also it's a little pricey for what you get. When I order a chicken sandwich and pay $8 for it in sourdough, the chicken should be a little bigger than a small chicken patty and the sourdough only tastes like white bread. I ordered this with delivery from DoorDash. My order was late, incorrect, and entirely incredible. DoorDash's solution was offering me a 50% refund of the inedible food. Not the full amount, not a refund for the service fee or the tip, and the refund will process in 5-8 business days. It is now 11pm, and since they have made no effort to supply me with edible food, I have no dinner to eat. The sandwich in the picture is supposed to be a BLT. There's no bacon, I did not ask for cheese, onions, or cucumbers. Yes, the red stuff on the bread is jelly. Yes, the cheese is dried up on one side. The staff is super nice and the sandwiches made here are made like your mom or grandma would make them. I got the Milwaukie special and my wife the BLTA. Nice local deli with top quality ingredients. Very friendly inside and fast service. I had the Italian soprano sandwich and it was very good though I wish I had it heated or toasted. First visit to this establishment looking for a good Deli in the area. Had their Italian Stallion sub with turkey, ham, salami, pastrami, provolone, swiss and cream cheese, onions, olives, pepperoncini, oil and vinegar. Hoagie roll was about the same as you'd get if buying cheap rolls at a grocery store, not impressed. The meat on the sandwich was maybe slightly better than Subway and definitely not sliced to order. It was also slightly overpriced at $8.50. Guess I'll continue to look for a real deli that serves great sandwiches. BTW I owned a Deli for years in Montana and I would be ashamed to call this a real Deli. read more

The food is pretty good, but their hours are super-erratic. The last time I tried to go there, they were still supposed to be open for another 15 minutes, closing at 9 pm, but between the time I drove past and saw the open sign and then parked, they had closed. Portions are not small for kids and quality was good. Prices were 2-4 bucks only for burgers and grilled cheese. They have a ton of sandwich and burger options and most expensive is like six bucks! The food is amazing and huge portions. I've been coming here since I was a kid! Sadly there is ONE staff worker who is SO rude, loud, foul-mouthed and ruins the entire experience. She can often be heard complaining about the customers who are still there playing lottery and she's so loud about it we can all hear her from the lottery room. I refuse to go there anymore if she is working which is sad because this was my go-to to play lottery and have a great lunch. Her name is Dominique I believe and I really hope the owner gets rid of her because they are losing a lot of business due to the behavior of this one employee. ALL the rest of the girls working there are SUPERB and extra friendly. I can't understand why they keep one bad apple and I know I'm one of many customers that feels this way.
