Interesting note saying we have to pay for the REQUIRED option

I've ordered from Mo Betta Deli in the past. I've also been inside and found it a bit underwhelming. The service when I visited was good and our meal was adequate. What you read about the ambiance is correct it's more like the kind of eatery you find on the side of the road in a desolate portion of the state - not fancy and very questionable regarding it's cleanliness. So when I found out I could order thru Door Dash and avoid going in I was happy. I like their sandwiches - how they wrap each half individually. It's a smart way to do it. I get one half of my sandwich and can swap with the Mrs. one of her halves to enjoy both orders. But today's selection came with a note "You gotta pay for the avocado you asked for on your sandwich. It's $0.75 so we're charging you more." Wow. That's not what the online order form said. In fact the online order form shows that it's one of the REQUIRED 5 condiments that can be added to a sandwich. So Mo Betta Deli is ripping me off for $.75. That's fine. I won't order a "make your custom sandwich again not knowing what additional items you're going to charge me which you offered for free. You can't trust anyone anymore even your local deli dive it seems.

Came here and got a Reuben sandwich -- it was really really good and the lady working was very nice. I would come back and recommend to my friends :)

Hidden gem! In a non-descript strip mall, you'd never find this place unless you were looking for it specifically. One person working the register and making the sandwiches. Definitely overworked, but somehow makes the most delicious concoction between to slices of bread. Recommend the Italian Stallion, all the way!

What a great fresh sandwich i had today. The bacon, roast beef, the veggies & avocado.... Just wow! The service was wonderful and you can tell that they are well loved by their customers. The place is spotless clean and cozy.

Awesome Sandwiches! Fresh ingredients, and good sized potions. Definitely will be my new go to sandwich spot. The inside also had nice open seating area with a couch and fireplace.

January 30th halftime. Call in an order for pickup and Judy was more than helpful and friendly! It's been seven months since my last review for Mo Betta, and it seems to be just as picture perfect as it was before. Having someone excited to take you order helps and then finishing it off is even better. Knowing that Judy and other tenants have to deal with all the area and poker players oh, sometimes they have to take care of them first but the food is always been so far so good. This time a little sparse on meat and toppings but still ok. Establishment itself could use a bit more lighting so I hope the owners dress it up a bit more knowing it's kind of tough in these times.

    Cordon bleu chicken sandwich

Such a sweet lady that runs this all by herself...I ordered the cordon bleu chicken sandwich and the chicken was juicy!! Great hot sandwich, just be patient because she was the only one working.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Genuinely disturbing to see them serve some people large proportional sandwiches, and will blatantly serve other people they dont like the way they look small pathetic sandwiches. The old lady is rude and will purposely add ingredients you ask to please leave out. Impossible to believe they can legally handle and serve food here.

I ordered this with delivery from DoorDash. My order was late, incorrect, and entirely incredible. DoorDash's solution was offering me a 50% refund of the inedible food. Not the full amount, not a refund for the service fee or the tip, and the refund will process in 5-8 business days. It is now 11pm, and since they have made no effort to supply me with edible food, I have no dinner to eat. The sandwich in the picture is supposed to be a BLT. There's no bacon, I did not ask for cheese, onions, or cucumbers. Yes, the red stuff on the bread is jelly. Yes, the cheese is dried up on one side. No, I have no idea what that curdled white stuff is. Additionally, the fries were cold and undercooked.

We stopped in after a long day of travel and this was close to where we were staying. A small sandwich shop in a strip mall was all we needed and it's no frill atmosphere worked for us. The staff is super nice and the sandwiches made here are made like your mom or grandma would make them. I got the Milwaukie special and my wife the BLTA. We each got a root beer and shared a bag of chips. It hit the spot.

I know we…read morehave several really popular polynesian and Hawaiian restaurants in the area, but I'm uncertain how many uniquely identify as Samoan. Tusi's Deli Creation may be the only one! Located at 68th and Glisan, the restaurant has been introduced to the community slowly over the last few months. The owners are currently doing catering and producing prepackaged deli style food for sale elsewhere, but they've also opened their doors to the public on the weekends. Apparently, the intention is to open for extended hours in early November when they'll operate from Wednesday through Sunday. I've only sampled Tusi's Deli Creation dishes sold for prepackaged takeout, but the chicken half moon pie and round pancakes (Panikeke) are so fresh and packed with flavor, I can't wait to visit this weekend to try more! I'll amend my review when I do. In the meantime, the deli is building quite a social media following where they show off some of their dishes, and make announcements about hours, etc. I highly suggest you check them out before they get so popular they begin selling out of inventory!

Please look for the sign. I had to take a turn around the block to realize it was there. (It was rainy and dark out). The owners are lovely people super attentive and welcoming. I called ahead to make sure this wasn't a fluke and the guy answered and reassured me they did indeed have COOKED Samoan food! I got fish, mamoe, muli pipi, with rice and taro. Let me tell you, I don't even think I chewed for the most part. HAHAHA. The food was warm, delicious ,and a comforting in the way that only food from "home" can comfort you. They for sure have blessed hands in the kitchen. I didn't try any of the baked goods or the deserts. But they're an option that I am fully going to take advantage of next time! The owners mentioned they were robbed and almost gave up! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME OUT AND SHOW SUPPORT FOR THEM! They truly deserve your patronage! Thank you again for the AMAZING meal.

They're open on Mondays, which is rare since many restaurants are closed, so it was nice to try it before leaving. My sister ordered the spaghetti and cheese with two large meatballs, garlic bread, and the Chicago beef with Italian sausage, and both were great. The meatballs were especially delicious. I just wish more were included, though extras are available to order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich which was very cheesey and flavorful. Afterward, we noticed you can add pepperoni and make it a "Chicken Parmeroni," which sounds like a better option. The large antipasta salad with balsamic vinegar was fresh and tasty, and it's nice that you can choose your dressing . I really love the antipasta salad! Overall, a really enjoyable meal and definitely worth recommending! Wish there had been time to try more of the menu.

Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

For this review, though, we'll stick to the meat (& bread, cheese, veggies and condiments) of the matter. In short: yes. Very much yes! My wife ordered the Aunt Tillie's Club, which she saw online and was the impetus for our visit, whereas I waffled between the tuna melt and the Aunt Tillie's Special (basically a grinder), eventually settling on the latter. Both of us were in heaven: sizeable portions, fresh bread, just enough condiments, and plenty of toppings to go around! My wife thought she was going to have to take a least half of it home, then changed her mind and powered through, leaving nothing behind! We dined just outside the restaurant proper, on one of the patio tables in the "mall", but there is plenty of seating inside (just not enough to accommodate the rush, it seems), plus a quaint little pub at the back that is easy to miss, but adds another layer to an already charming sandwich shop. We were both so impressed by the entire experience, that we are guaranteed to return, likely sooner than later! Very recommended!
