Yummy chili, just make sure to eat it fresh…read more Been having to go to Happy Valley a bit and have been hitting the food carts and thought, why not a burger this time. We got the burger, fries, and an order of chili fries. The burger was good, nice and juicy. The fries were battered curly fries with good seasoning. For the chili fries, it was the same curly fries and the chili had no beans and was a bit drier than I'm use to, says the lady that only has canned chili. It was cleary house made and very good. I will say, it doesn't reheat very well so eat your chili first. One thing I will note and this is nothing on the shop: But make sure to ask about what fries they are using. In the picture for the chili fries it is normal fries and I (again a me problem) assumed that was what they would have. Only reason I note this is bc I can't have a lot of gluten and battered curly fries are a no go for me.

I felt like downing a smash burger and this cart fit the bill. This cart has a basic menu of burgers & potatoes (fries or tots). Prices are very reasonable for single and double cheese burgers. And they have interesting preset toppings. My Thai peanut cheese burger was perfectly cooked/smashed. Peppers, sauce & a fresh cuke salad topping made this burger pop with flavor. For $9, it was plenty of burger.

Either way, that Killer Burger was the last thing I tasted for a few days and I'll never forget how delicious it was. We will definitely be back, no cold this time! I came back recently, for another one of those Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger. It was outstanding! So happy! I ordered online, came in store to pick up, and had a little issue figuring out which bag was my order. Your staff was incredible and so helpful. We figured it out because I had noticed my name was listed as "Voice Mail" on the order...idk how the heck that happened, so I mentioned that to the staff. They smiled and grabbed my bag! Awesome! Thank you, guys. Maybe that will be a good new name for ordering from now on. Lol!

Yes, it's a ghost kitchen, but we've had plenty of food from GK so who cares? As long as the food is good it really doesn't matter too much. That being said, these were seriously good burgers. Very hearty and fresh, with plenty of toppings and lots of flavor. They also have really good chicken sandwiches that aren't just the pressed patties. And rather than drenching them it in buffalo sauce they put it on top, which my partner much preferred. It's nice that they are meals that include wavy fries, but they are kind of skimpy with those. Same with the onion rings that you pa extra for (my partner got 5). Maybe be a little more generous with those, especially since they don't offer them as separate sides for purchase. Other than that small complaint the food was really solid and arrived as expected. And since these are really dank burgers they're going to be messy.

Where it struggles is presentation and flow. The entry isn't very inviting, seating is tight, benches are worn, and the bathrooms and back areas could use a serious cleaning. There's no clear waiting area or place to pay, which makes checkout awkward especially since it's cash only, leaving you feeling like you're in the way just trying to settle the bill. Service was a longer wait, understandable with how packed it was, but a little polish would help. The staff works hard, but a cleaner, more uniform look and keeping the attitude in check would go a long way. Dean's has history and loyal regulars, but it could really benefit from a modern tune-up. For now, it lands right in the middle: 3.5 stars.

My least favorite was the Stray Cider. Food-wise it was good. We shared the fish tacos which were tasty, but I prefer mine grilled and not fried. My friend liked her salad and French fries. I liked the chicken tender and soft pretzel with fondue that I ordered. We also ordered the pulled pork nachos, but were too full to eat them. Overall I would recommend checking out the tasting room at Portland Cider Company.

We called ahead because we couldn't find the childrens menu and they let us know that they did have one so thats a plus since most establishments dont bother posting their kid's menu. Food was okay. My husband got the ozz sandwhich and it looked good but it was wetter than he anticipated. We learned i like rye bread though, so thats a plus. I ordered the sliders with a side of beer mac but the portion sizes was smaller than I thought it would be? I misread or misinterpreted as hawaiian rolls as in buns but not as in dinner rolls. The beer cheese mac was thick. It was good but had a cloying type of consistency. Tots and fries were good. The kid's chicken tenders and fries were just that. Chicken tenders and fries, so no surprise there. Overall for 2 meals, 1 kids, and 2 sodas, we paid about $60. A bit higher than we guessed for a bar but we enjoy supporting local when we can especially when we know they're active in the community.

The biggest sign that beer is the focus is the choice (singular) of food. Your only option is chips and salsa - an unopened container of each. My guess is that they're in a building that is not zoned for any kind of food preparation at all. Steak pieces were pretty small but full of flavor and the sauce over the whole thing was delicious. Was worried the fries would be soggy but the sauce made them better.
