Overall: This place is the good type of different. Really enjoyed the food. Atmosphere (4/5):Currently this place is located in Bridgeport. Food (4/5):Their signature dish is the chicken sundae. You can choose from three different types of seasoned chicken or tofu. There you choose your toppings and lastly you can choose between a chicken gravy or vegetable broth ( I got the chicken gravy and it very good! And they were not stingy, put a lot on there). Food was absolutely packed in the little boxes they gave, but I am not complaining Service (3/5): Ehh. Very unenthusiastic. Very basic bland interaction.

A long time ago, in a land far, far away (before Covid), I was introduced to Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes via their mobile food truck. My previous employer would pay for food trucks to bring lunch for all the employees a few times a month. I'm Asian and could LIVE off of chicken and rice, even if it wasn't necessary! I generally like my food plain, without a lot of extras. I had planned to get just the chicken and rice, with no other toppings. "You've got to get the gravy!" the owner said. "The gravy makes it!" I took his advice and man, am I glad I did! So, so good. The regular size was so filling that I could make two meals out of it! Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes now has a permanent location at Bridgeport Village (located in the center concourse, near Native Foods). You can still get a chicken bowl, using rice or bean sprouts as a base. OR you can get a salad! (Either creating your own or choosing one of their ore-designed options). For the rice/beans bowl, you can choose from 5 proteins (all chicken or tofu), 11 toppings and 2 sauces. The salads offer 5 proteins, 12 toppings, 4 cheeses and 5 crunchies. Eat here once and you'll already be thinking about your creation on your next visit!

Enjoyed trying this for lunch at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest, this was the highlight to our visit there. The guys are super friendly. I got a "mini" and it was plenty of food and added gravy per employee suggestion. Unique without being over complicated! Check it out if you get the chance!

Happy Valley Food Carts yeah, I might be a little biased... I live here. And to the three of you…read moretrying to triangulate my exact location based on this review relax, it's not that serious. Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

Dog friendly, Kid friendly, 100-year old friendly. Lots of clean and tidy indoor and outdoor cafeteria-style seating to choose from. Carts are covered from the rain, but outside. Beer and Espresso served and paid for inside. Restrooms are accessible and inside. Carts will give you a buzzer to notify you when the order is ready, so you can go walk around or find a seat while you wait. It was very busy this particular day, but no problem, all the carts seemed to be prepared for that! Just a lot of friendly faces who understood we needed to drool over all the menus before arriving somewhere. We landed on Premier Japanese Hibachi and loved all the flavor. Some of the freshest shrimp and yakisoba I have ever had. We also had the grilled shrimp and steak. TIP: don't forget to ask how you want your steak because it is made to order! The sauces on the side were perfect for dipping and sharing. Unfortunately, the portions did feel small for $18 a plate. Also, how to order water with your meal was confusing- another worker said just go inside. Eventually I saw signs that water is free with purchase or $1, but you would think it would be obvious. Overall, Premier Japanese Hibachi and everything else was a hit, 10/10, TY!

The first one I had I couldn't believe how legit it was. Went back two days later just to be sure I wasn't dreaming. Nope, it was just as good. The tortillas really help make it stand out, chewy but crisped up perfectly on the outside. The Pastor and Chicken are both solid, though I do a wish there was a little pineapple in the Pastor. The Street tacos are just fine. Small, but as simple as they should be with just the white onions, cilantro, and accompanying lime wedge. Extra appreciate that they're only $3/each. That's all I've tried so far, but will be a regular visitor for the burrito alone. Their 'dining area' leaves a lot to be desired, but I appreciate that they have a covered area to order and wait in the winter months. Service has been good. The hot sauces are great as well. Also appreciate that they use paper and aluminum foil for the tacos and burritos, rather than more single use plastic. Though I still think they use some. Overall super legit taco truck I highly recommend.

Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised

Their generous portions of crab boil--complete with potatoes, corn, sausage, and egg--have always made it feel like a great value, especially compared to other crab boil restaurants. Their Cajun butter sauce remains outstanding and is still one of my favorites. Previously located at the Happy Valley food carts, The Kracked Crab has since moved to a new location. Unfortunately, it's not immediately obvious they're in a food court setting, as the building signage only says "Sunny Sides," which made it a bit difficult to find. This was my first visit to their new location, and while I was genuinely excited to return with my daughter for a pre-movie dinner, the experience fell short of expectations. We already knew what we wanted to order--two #3 Legilicious meals--but upon arrival, there seemed to be confusion at the counter with the two groups ahead of us. The ordering process felt disorganized and lacked a sense of urgency. It appeared that the main staff member was working alone, possibly being trained by a manager or owner who was intermittently present. Our food took over 45 minutes to be prepared, which was surprising given the limited number of customers. This delay caused us to rush through our meal in order to make our movie on time. When the food finally arrived, the presentation and quality were noticeably different from past visits. The crab appeared less fresh, with some pieces looking freezer-burnt, and while the portion seemed large at first glance, much of it consisted of thinner crab legs, and a little watery. That said, the Cajun butter sauce was still excellent--rich, flavorful, and as memorable as always. A small bright spot was the care taken in packing our leftovers. The owner kindly ensured everything was sealed well so the buttery sauce wouldn't spill in the car. I especially appreciate this because I enjoy repurposing the potatoes and sausage the next morning for breakfast. Despite this less-than-stellar experience, The Kracked Crab is still my favorite seafood spot. I sincerely hope they're able to return to their previous standards in both crab quality and service speed. I'll definitely be giving them another chance.
