Food, service, and atmosphere were great! Had the French toast combo and the meat lovers skillet. The french toast was creamy and hot. The ML skillet was not greasy at all. The only complaint was they give margarine instead of real butter.

Hidden gem to say the least! The service was phenomenal with very personable staff. The food is all house made and you can taste the difference. It isn't Sysco potatoes, they make their ingredients from fresh food. We got the original breakfast, a sandwich and a burrito. Everything was 10/10. We will be back, add this to your breakfast list!

The place wasn't busy at all in a Sat afternoon. We sat down immediately, the hot chocolate was good and the cookie was a cute addition! The chicken wrap was good but there was a bit too much lettuce and the crispy tender wasn't that crispy maybe it softened a bit from the sauce. The biscuits and gravy were good and the sausage was soooo flavorful! The nice surprise was the fries, cooked perfectly!

I couldn't finish the pancakes and hash brown because of the taste.

My husband and I were visiting Portland and wanted to try something new. Found this place since it was close to our VRBO. Too bad the food wasn't good and the place was basically a one woman show! First of all, after we sat ourselves, it took a while to get service. But that's because the place was semi busy and only one server was doing everything! From making drinks to serving, to probably cooking the meal, she did it all. The tables needed to be bussed but it seemed like no one was bussing them, so there were more dirty tables than clean ones. It was very unpleasant. When we finally got our food, I was pretty disappointed in my breakfast. I had pancakes, sausage links and subbed out the eggs for hash brown. The pancakes were pretty inedible. They were rubbery and hard around the edges, and they had no flavor. The hash browns tasted like old oil. The sausage was the only good thing on my plate. Also they served the syrup in a big ramekin so it was hard to pour just a little syrup at a time. My husband got the French toast, bacon and eggs. He said the food was okay. But the French toast wasn't quite done right. His food seemed edible but didn't have much flavor. Although our server Chloe was busy, she really took care of us. She even brought my husband an extra ice tea without him having to ask. I felt bad that she was so busy and had no help. So we left her a really good tip. Unfortunately, we won't be coming here again.

Lots of potatoes, but the English muffin wasn't really toasted and without proper containers for the jelly it just kind of spilled in the container. Now I don't have enough jelly for my bread and my savory food is now sweet. Not the end of the world, but they need lids for delivery. No meat in our dishes so we ordered sides. Bacon was thick and had a good flavor. Price was okay. Maybe dining in is better, but I'll probably never know.

Looking to try breakfast spots in the area and found this. They open at 8am everyday which is awesome! Better yet, they have a shared parking lot! This place is right off of 205 and has great visibility from the street. A regular was waiting outside with us as we waited for it to open. We were quickly greeting and chose a spot for us to sit. Upon walking in, it looked really nice and upscale with the dark wood trim and dark table tops and seating. Tall ceilings also gave it an open feeling. I splurged and got the stuff french toast combo while my son got the kielbasa scramble. Both were really good. The stuffed french toast wasn't super sweet like you'd get at IHOP. If you're looking for that, you won't get it here. Service was pleasant. I'd say price was average for the area. Due to ease of access, plenty of parking and good food and service, I would dine here again.

It seems like a nice cafe but with a Chinese twist I'm guessing, I ordered a Meat Lover's Skillet thinking and expecting a Meat Lover's Skillet! The menu description says sausages and meat with vegetables sautéed on a skillet, so what I envisioned and what I received was 2 totally different things. The waitress came by asking if everything was okay, I told her that I was expecting a food on a skillet and sautéed meat and vegetables? It's like they threw in some chopped onions and bell peppers with potatoes? Doesn't come anywhere close to what I was expecting and maybe they should really comprehend the written English language that's printed on their menu. I also ordered their house coffee which seemed a bit too acidic like it was brewed longer than 30 minutes ago and it was just sitting on the warmer. I also asked the waitress owner woman and she said it was beef vegetable soup, so I imagined Campbell's beef with vegetables soup. As you can see it's a potato soup with ground beef?!?!? After tasting the soup the sensory overload happened! All I can taste was "SALT & BLACK-PEPPER!" Soup was too salty and really peppery it wasn't edible! I only ate the 2 eggs and drank half cup of coffee and left everything else! Apparently when the Chinese lady says vegetable she's referring to potatoes! For $32.40 I can get a really decent, tasty and edible food elsewhere than this place.

It's rare to find a restaurant that is the perfect trifecta. Delicious food with fresh ingredients (we asked about their sourcing they support local farms!), genuinely wonderful owners with fantastic service across the board, and fair prices. Not to mention the place is super clean which is huge for me. Love this place. I order from DoorDash for it regularly and dine in. Would recommend it day in and day out. Oh and they are fast! It's so good. Ok stop reading this and go try it! You won't be disappointed. Love small businesses with integrity and passion!

I was recommended this restaurant awhile back but hadn't had the chance to try it until recently and I have definitely missed out! I'm a big fan of breakfast food and thought the entrees were well worth it. Upon walk in, we were greeted and there is a sign to let you know to seat yourself and then they will serve you. We waited between 5-10min for others finish up and ended up at the bar because there were actually no other seats available and this was around 12pm on a Sunday. The employees are very friendly and attentive. It looks like a family owned business. I wouldn't say the restaurant looks like any new modern brunch restaurant but I find these types of restaurants to be the best hole in the walls. We ordered the kielbasa scramble with home fries and sourdough, and stuffed French toast with sausage and sunnyside eggs. Honestly the kielbasa was delicious! It looks so simple but there was so much flavor. The home fries weren't really seasoned but they were crispy and a little salt and pepper doesn't hurt. I still found them to be really delicious. The sourdough was surprisingly good because I am use to sourdough being more thinner and a little rougher but this one was soft, fluffy and they added butter. I could eat so many slices! I would say a 9/10 rating in my book. The stuffed French toast was good but I wish it was a little more crispy. You can never go wrong with eggs and the sausage was actually really good as well, as bland as it looks. A lot of flavor! I'd give this a 8/10. Portions for both entrees were a large and we cleaned our plates! Bang for your buck for sure. There is street parking right in front of the restaurant, but I'm not too sure about behind the building. Either way, the entrance is facing the street with a sign that says "cafe." Don't judge a book by the cover here. I'll definitely be back!

We were visiting Portland and were staying a few blocks from here, so we decided to try it. This was a Wednesday morning around 10 am, so it wasn't busy at all. Everything was very quick, and the prices were reasonable, which we definitely appreciated! I ordered an omelet, and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito. My meal was ok, I feel like breakfast potatoes can make or break a plate, and the ones I had were just ok. The omelet was a very good size, and it was pretty good. The burrito was huge, my husband definitely could not finish it but he liked it. Service was very kind, and we were in and out pretty quickly. Most of the menu had a pretty good price, and I would definitely go back to try something else.

Great place! Basics done well, large portions, fresh ingredients, clean and friendly. Mildly seasoned, but several hot sauces available. Nice Mimosas (four flavors), beer and wine. Third - and best! - version at this location. Well worth the price. Great addition to the neighborhood. Pleasant environment, though outdoor seating is sidewalk (not patio). read more

Happy Holidays!!!! Be sure to come and check out this cute little cafe! I was greeted upon arrival, asked to pick any seat in the house. My server was very pleasant and even gave me her faves on the menu! I chose the Parmesan Scramble w/kielbasa and avocado(they were generous slices too). The menu is reasonably priced, and the place kept very tidy. I will definitely visit again soon! read more

This is a sweet gem of a place. Delicious food with reasonable prices. The ladies who run this cafe are kind and want your experience to be a good one. They have two to ten top tables for different group sizes. They also took out the video poker section which adds more seating space and a touch of class. My husband and I come here a few times a month and are never disappointed. read more

We popped in on a late Thursday morning and were greeted very cheerfully. The food was delivered promptly and you could taste it was home-made. Home fries from scratch. I ordered a cup of tea and it was delivered piping hot instead of lukewarm water. No frills restaurant with great food read more

Was not impressed. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. It came with hash browns and I substituted egg whites for the eggs. English muffins and a couple of sausages that I added. The presentation and quantity were fantastic. I was really excited to dig in. I was disappointed in the actual taste of the food. The gravy was flavorless. The hash browns were not anything special. No spices. No onions or anything to give them a little taste. Quite pastry. The English muffin was chewy and the egg whites were undercooked. The grapefruit juice was delicious. I feel for what I got it was overpriced. The one person I saw out front was pretty absent. She had zero personality and seemed like she couldn't care less about being there. So all things considered I can't recommend this place. read more

This place needs more recognition! It is commonly missed because it is along the beginning of Foster. However, they serve one of the best french toast that I have ever had!!! It is so yummy and perfectly cooked. The combo plate is also a great way to have a mix of both savory and sweet in your brunch plate. The meat lovers skillet is pretty good as well. The portions are also very filling. I have been here plenty of times and I always order the same thing. Each time has never been a disappointment and satisfied my cravings. All of us have different food and diet preferences, and Oliver's was super accommodating. I had the Country Chicken Fried Steak with sourdough bread and homefries. It came with a side of (possibly house made?) jam for the toast and an orange slice. I was so hungry I almost finished the whole thing, but on a normal day I probably could have saved enough for All five of us found the food to be incredibly tasty. This place is really great! I've been going to Oliver's cafe since it opened because I just live a block away and I've always had a good experience until yesterday morning. I don't frequent Oliver's like I did in the past, but I dropped off my car at Lents Auto Body right across the street and decided to drop in. When I picked up my car at 10am, I mentioned my breakfast to someone at Lents Auto Body and they told me they had heard the same from others. I hope that things change because their food has always been good. My Meal: I was first shocked by the prices that have really risen. I ordered the chicken fried steak at $16.99. The chicken fried steak was dried out because its probably frozen, and the size shrank. The gravy was way to thick and got even thicker by the minute. It was a dark gravy instead of a lighter brownish color, and didn't taste a good as I remembered from the past. I asked for Sourdough toast and got plain. The scrambled eggs were good. The place was even a little packed which shows that I must have ordered the wrong breakfast item. I just hope that things get better, and maybe next time I go in I will go for lunch instead, because their burgers are usually really good, I hope! Kenny B. read more

We had a great time here! We stopped in randomly on a weekend morning and we're impressed. We were able to get a table right away and our server was super friendly. She checked in often and was a delight. The menu had breakfast and lunch options. I didn't really look at the lunch menu but breakfast had a good variety. I got the veggie skillet ish option, I don't remember the name but it was good and reasonably priced as well. My husband got the stuffed French toast & it was great! We also got the kids breakfast for our little one and he was impressed too. With all our food & 2 mimosas we still spent under $50 (before tip). It's not a super quiet or romantic place if you're looking for something super trendy I may look else where but it's a perfect quick brunch with the family spot. We will be back :) read more

The halibut was ok too, we liked the pickled cherries but the whole dish didn't come together in the way we wished the flavors would. Overall, I'd say the food was a 6.5/10 and wait staff confusion was a 4/10. Midway thru our meal our waiter asked if we wanted dessert before we wrapped up and we were confused because we still had half our dishes and he just walked away. Then at the end it took several attempts to flag someone down to pay our bill, which added another 15 minutes next to meltdown Mariah next to us which felt like an eternity. For the amount we spent, I definitely think you could get a better meal elsewhere.

The mascarpone whip on top made me tingle on the inside after I got a taste. My gawd I wanted to eat the whole thing. The biggest compliment came at the end of the night when my friend told me I chose the perfect spot and picked all the right dishes. Big thanks to Mike for taking such great care of us. The food came out at a really nice pace, the setting was clean and comfortable, and the whole experience just worked. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for a fun night out with great drinks and memorable food.

Ok, so I have lived in this neighborhood my whole life. There are not a lot of great choices for food so I love to try new places. My friends and I popped into Oliver's one morning. I had a breakfast burrito. The food is ok. Nothing amazing. Let's face it, there's not a lot to choose from around here. The cafe is clean and doesn't feel cramped. The food is just good and reasonably priced. I had higher hopes for this place. This building is the nicest around and I expected better. There used to be a little cafe in this space that was fun and had great options. My biggest complaint was the wait for our food and our waitress seemed really unprofessional. I think we all agreed that we would rather travel a short ways to Arleta Library or even Tin Shed on Alberta. If I had to come up with a one word description it would be bland. read more

Heard from friends they were good so we decided to try them out. They are ok, not something to wow about. They do have a good selection and not so expensive. Pretty fresh and good coffee too. So that's a plus :) read more

This was our first time here. All I can say is the food and service were great! I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
