I love better buzzed!!! I know this is a new location, but the wait time and drinks should be good for the new customers. If I never tried better buzzed (at a different location) I would NOT come back again. I ordered two caramel buzzes with extra caramel. Waited 8 minutes while there was only two drinks before me (yes I counted) 8 minutes in not acceptable for when you're in a hurry and when there is more than 4 people working in the front. They need more than one person to make drinks! The biggest disappointment was my drink. I hate it. All I taste is pure coffee no extra caramel or even caramel!!! :( I get fraps to hide some of the coffee flavor, but this drink sucks. I'm just really bummed! Hopefully they improve but I'll never know cause I won't come back. read more

Their coffee is always WAY too sweet for me, but I drink the drip or cold brew. They have great food and their Acai bowls are amazing! The almond butter add is my favorite and gives the bowl a great flavor. Love them! read more

LOVE this coffee shop. The employees are all so nice and helpful and the coffee is amazing. Life is really better buzzed. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Best way to start the week - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

The ambiance and hours are wonderful. The product was terrible. I ordered a cappuccino for here and got it in a to go cup. The cappuccino was also scalding and the espresso shot was very over extracted. I also had a pastry which was ok though the barista said it did not contain nuts when it clearly did. Lofty and Ironsmith are much better options... read more

Can't get enough of this place. Lover of all things toast. So I recommend the Avocado toast and Nutella toast! As far as coffee my favorite is.....The best drink ever! Literally called... best drink ever. Go get one, NOW!!! read more

Dan S was so kind to me today. He helped me through my order and was the nicest person I've ever met. I honestly think he should get a raise. He is just so nice! Great customer service :) read more

Spend all my tips here. They even know my name.... best part is all their shots are double and still cheaper then anywhere else; makes up for the pricier coffee read more

Great people, great service! Best coffee around!! We have tried all the coffee shops in town, this one is our favorite!

Hands down best coffee in San Diego. Usually go to this location due to its proximity to my house but the service at any of them is always amazing. Prices are reasonable and the flavors are amazing. read more

Came here yesterday morning, for another wonderful Americano. Thanks better buzz. The coffee is so good I always ask my friends to meet me for coffee break. Definitely a cozy environment . The only improvement this place needs is a 2nd bathroom. read more

Love this place and the entire staff!!!keep going girls! you make my day more than you know!

Great place for coffee and poached eggs! Lines are long, so give yourself extra time to enjoy it. The Best Drink is Amazing. I Love it!

I love this place, Great staff, great coffee! The Honduras cold brew on nitro with the feta avocado toast on gluten free is my absolute favorite! read more

We loved this place, though neither of us are much for hipster vibes, fancy-schmanzy coffee drinks, or lines. The reason is the staff is so nice and enthusiastic and helpful, explaining what everything is. The decaf espresso here is amazing....and that's kind of rare. When they open the glass front and the breeze lofts in, it's pretty great. I'm going to have to come back for the avocado toast: it looked amazing. read more

I want to love Better Buzz, I really do. It's such a San Diegan staple, but every time I go, I'm reminded why I DON'T go (see my BB Hillcrest review). On our way out of town, we tried to go to the Point Loma location, which was RIDICULOUS because the drive-thru line was crazy and all the drivers on that street were get so frustrated and irate that we couldn't even park anywhere!! So we ended up going to the Encinitas location instead. It's in such a cute/cool part of Encinitas, surrounded by so many local shops and restaurants. Anyway, we line up, order our food and drinks - I think we each got a coffee and sandwich/avocado toast. *2-5 minutes later* we receive our drinks. *5-10 minutes later* nothing. *10-15 minutes later* nothing. *15-20 minutes later* we are staring at each other. What is the hold up???? FINALLY our food comes and we're just like, hallelujah, a few minutes more and someone was going to throw a fit haha. I understand that it was Saturday at noon, but GEEEZE. For your kitchen to be that backed up for just some measly sandwiches and toast!?? (I mean they were really good sandwiches though). I still prefer going to other coffee shops before I'd come here. read more

This place killed our buzz. I was so excited to try this place with my Mom. We are locals and wanted to give our business to a local company rather than starbucks. We order our coffee and are very satisfied, walk out and enjoy our stroll then return to use the restroom since we are paying customers. I waited outside while my mom waited in line to use the restroom. My mom came to give me her drink because she did not want to take her coffee into the bathroom with her. She then asked Chelsea, one of the employees if there was a code to use the restroom and Chelsea responds "you have to be a paying customer" and when my mom explained to her that she was she responded " I figured you were going to say that, ill just let you in" mind you that no one else in line for the restroom had a drink in their hand indicating that they were a paying customer, and of course she decided to ask the woman of color. We came to a local business to avoid all of the racial discrimination. We informed the manager, Ariel who was very nice but began to excuse what Chelsea said and tried to compensate for what happened with freebies, which is insulting. My Mom walked away from the situation in tears. We were not looking for free coffee. We can afford the coffee. We want this to NEVER happen to anyone regardless of their age, color, or sexual orientation. We will no longer be giving Better Buzz Coffee our business. read more

I love Better Buzz, its amazing in so many ways. Here is a reason its 1 star today. Its FREEZING in the winter time because all the doors are open. I requested if there is anything that can be done but "the owners dont allow doors to be closed". Dear owners, they are people here in gloves and hat. We are San Diego pansies who freak out over outside being 65 degrees. PLEASE let your staff close the doors when its 48 degrees outside..... read more

great coffee drinks, def on the more expensive side, but still really good and I would be back. great friendly service- cashier name was Anita too, and she was really nice and helpful. nice location, just walked over from Moonlight Beach. kid friendly, lots of college students studying, nice atmosphere, and delicious drinks! i think i would rate it a full five start if the prices were a little lower. read more

This place is so cute! They have a wide range of coffee drinks and breakfast and lunch items. I only got some coffee on this visit but it was delish. A must stop if you are in Encinitas. read more

The inside decor is awesome and makes for a great environment. The coffee is good but nothing special. This place definitely generates a lot of business, must be because of all the buzz (pun intended). It's definitely worth a stop and I'm sure I'll be back bc of the ambiance. read more

As a returning customer, I know the level of customer service this location provides is STEAK SAUCE! Very welcoming, and because I'm big ol dweeb, I ordered a complicated, custom cortado and the barista on bar (Jess), graciously accommodated me and made me a delicious beverage with a smile on her face; A true hero. The manager, Drake? Is very friendly and always strikes up a conversation. I WILL be returning even though it's a bit of a drive to this particular location. read more

Whenever I'm in north county, I stop by here! Have driven from UTC multiple times just to get this particular location's chai tea latte with almond milk. It's different than the Better Buzz chai tea lattes at Fashion Valley, and Pacific Beach. Honestly the best chai tea latte I've had in San Diego! My and my love's favorite place to get our favorite drink. Ooh, and their muffins are amazing. read more

Excellent service! I love the look of the store and attitude of the employees. I ordered a rose water latte from the "purist" menu and was blown away. Great management. A highlight was Landon. He made a recommendation that was on point. I'll be back!! read more

Great wifi, great vibe, free parking free water and probably the hippest spot on the street.

Waking up on East Coast time meant trying to find a good coffee spot at 5 in the morning. Thanks to Yelp, I found the PERFECT place. The bright, welcoming atmosphere, friendly faces, and delicious coffee (that more than cured my hankering) made for a wonderful experience. I'll be back before my trip ends in a few days and will return every time I'm in the area! read more

I absolutely love your coffee. It makes me mad though that today March 18th , 2020 I left my house early to get "The Best Drink Ever" but couldn't because you guys didn't open at 5:30. Is it because of the corona virus ? I wouldn't know, I checked your website/social media and there's nothing posted on the door. read more

I popped in to grab a late afternoon cup of coffee. Simple, yes, but it changed my life! I got the dark roast, strong, bold bodied but very smooth as well. Better buzz? More like coffee crack. I'm craving more. read more

Literally the worst cup of coffee and worst service I have ever had. First of all, I ordered a pour over of the Costa Rica and the instant the order was told to the barista, I was given a look that can only say "ugh, really?" If pour over is too much work for one of your baristas, don't put it on the menu. Second, the barista committed a cardinal sin of pour over in that she did not let the grinds breathe. As a result, my pour over came out as the most acrid, horrible, inedible cup of coffee I have ever had. I threw it out the second I sipped it, and based on the service, I'm not dealing with again. I will never return. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

I haven't had a drink here that I haven't liked yet. My favorite is the iced mint mojito; so refreshing. The service is always outstanding too. By far my favorite coffee place! (Not ideal if your in a rush though, due to its popularity, there tends to be a line out the door) read more

I love the vibe here! Every time I come here the barista is very energetic and talkative !

I am in love with this coffee place !! It is way better than STARBUCKS (yes i said it). PITAYA bowl and all their LATTES are the best !!

Waited 30+ min for a coffee that was not worth the price. Tons of better places around to give your business to.

The cutest coffee shop! Plenty of seating and loved the natural light coming in. Great coffee and delicious breakfast. Service is quick and baristas are super friendly! read more

I love everything about this place, EXCEPT the WiFi. It's always in & out. I wish they would fix this. I would be more inclined to go there on a regular basis. The coffee is amazing! The staff is always so upbeat and courteous. The music is always on point. It would be 5 stars if the WiFi worked. read more

Solid pour-over coffee that took a solid 10 minutes to receive, even though I was only the third person in line and there were no pour-overs ahead of me. Oh well--worth the wait, and a decent cup of coffee to carry to Moonlight Beach. Lots of seating, interesting/modern decor, and lots of seating. The staff were also really nice. I prefer Lofty Coffee Company over this place, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Also, the bathrooms and milk counter were spotless. read more
