Tried the "best drink ever". It was good, a little too sweet for me though. Still has a nice strong coffee taste. Was crowded but it's Labor Day so I can't tell what a normal day is usually like, but the drinks came out quick anyway. Honestly the menu looks bomb and I couldn't decide quick enough what to order so I passed on the food. Can't wait to try the breakfast sandwich and avo toast when I go back. Nice new spot to have in town! read more

One of the best Better Buzz locations I have been to. I have always loved their coffee and was very happy how easy freeway access was and how quick the service was at 9am on a Sat. Place was packed and parking was a little bit of a challenge, but we were in and out and on our way with delicious coffee. read more

I love coming here. I literally go here everyday. My second time coming here with my sister, the manager, Mary remembered our names. I know Mary probably sees over 100 people a day, but she remembered us and our names. That is pretty amazing and not the norm. It made us feel so special. I love their caramel and vanilla latte. They are way better than Starbucks and any other coffee place. I don't even drink coffee but i Love everything here. Their avocado toast on gluten free bread is great as well. Actually, I love their poached eggs as well.. I always tell everyone about this gem. It's is so fun to go on a sunny day and then walk to the beach. The only negative thing about this place is, they have flies flying around by the reception desk. I mentioned this to the other manager and they implemented a fan. I don't think that is working. I get they have a hippie vibe and leave all of their windows open but still. read more

I'm not a coffee drinker but their iced mocha was delicious and more like a handspun milkshake than an iced coffee. Acai bowls are huge and delicious and their breakfast sandwiches were tasty but could have been a little bit more stacked with the bacon in my opinion. The decor and vibe inside is awesome. Can be really crowded on the weekends. read more

I typically get the super basic first timer drink, "Best Drink Ever", but even after my second, fifth, and countless nights spent studying here after that, I still order that drink because I enjoy it so much. I am in no way a coffee connoisseur, so take my review of coffee with a grain of salt. However, I do appreciate the work environment of this coffee shop a lot. I work well with background noise so I'm always searching for coffee shops with good lighting, outlets, and a comfortable environment to get work done. There's a fair amount of outlets and a large table to do work here. However, the large table doesn't have easy access to outlets, so I suggest doing work here if you don't need to charge a laptop or tablet. You'll be fine at a small table by yourself if you do need an outlet. Parking isn't too bad either! Encinitas isn't nearly as crowded as the other Better Buzzed coffee spots in Sd, but still provides the great quality coffee! read more

Had the snickerdoodle latte over ice with a splash of heavy cream. It is the best fall season drink! Sweet and creamy and full flavor

good mocha blend that was a bit too sweet. still the best mocha blend belongs to the one who made the drink in first place and that's coffee bean and tea leaf. read more

Wish I had a picture to post but unfortunately I forgot to save from my Snapchat story. Anyway, I love Better Buzz coffee! My favorite right now is the MACNUT (macadamia nut, also unsure if it's just a limited time thing) a blended drink with a shot of expresso on top the first time I tried it I did not come with whip cream but the second time I ordered it the barista asked if I wanted whip cream so I'm not sure if it comes with or without anyway I don't like whip cream on my blended drinks. I'm from Florida but when I visit Cali I make sure I stop by better buzz bc life is better buzzed read more

Delicious coffee! Great atmosphere! Staff was more than happy to answer my questions, wish there were more where I lived!

Avocado toast on thick slabs of multi-grain bread: amazing! The salty crumbles of cheese constrasts perfectly with the creamy splendor of the avocado. Coffee was fabulous as well. One star off or a couple order errors, high noise level, and long wait. Highly recommended. By the way, as someone passing through from the Bay Area, I was shocked by the lack of diversity in the clientele here. Basically one gender and one ethnicity. Is this the norm for Encinitas? read more

A coffee chain that serves delicious tea, coffee that is much better than Starbucks. The drinks are always flavorful but are never too saturated with syrup- you can actually taste the espresso (and essentially what you are paying for). I tried some tea lattes too and those were delicious as well. I haven't tried much of their food yet, but their pumpkin items are always delicious. This location has a very nice ambience, and I liked that there is a laptop-free zone so that people working don't monopolize if for several hours on end. The drive-thru location in Pacific Beach is also great and convenient. I wish there were locations up in Orange County. read more

Great atmosphere. Great selection. The seating, however, needs some work. The stool-to-bar height ratios are totally off. Not ergonomically correct at all. Help create good posture and support healthy necks and spines. Do some research and get out a saw to hack off the legs of your stools. See the bar at Coffee Coffee for an ideal example. Thank you! read more

Emma is the funnest coolest barista of all time!! I had one of their raw juices it was uniquely delightful and their mocha de Mexico is always fantastic. Ariel is an excellent manager and is very friendly and helpful check them out!! read more

Beautiful place. Stopped by because we were in the area and seen it was as sprawling place. And wanted something other than Starbucks. Ordered two cappuccino and had to wait over 15 mins.... BUT the "barista" made me a latte instead! (Yes there is a difference and yes it is important to know). Not happy. Whatever. Life goes on and Starbucks is still triumphant. LOL.. read more

After visiting Better Buzz Coffee in San Marcos, I was excited to learn about their new location in Encinitas. The building and design of the layout is amazing. Its a total Instagram coffee shop. But my experience was far from perfect. Although the store looks amazing, the service is poor. There is no leadership, the line took forever, and my coffee was alright. I love the location, but I don't know if its worth waiting for an okay coffee. read more

This review is regarding my visit to your Encinitas location. I've had very good experiences at the San Marcos location, so we decide to give Encinitas a try for a very special occasion. I came with my Pastor and two sisters from a pretty long distance, and my experience at Encinitas was horrible. There is an Asian girl with purple hair, I don't know her name, that gave us very bad customer service to the point where she gave us attitude and threw our cups on the floor because she got frustrated! I understand we might have came at her all at once, sorry we were excited, but that was very uncomfortable and rude!!! I would put zero stars if I could, because of her! read more

Good coffee however the worst, slow and most unfriendly service you can get. This place is being ran by millennials and all the texting and video game playing they've done while growing up is coming through loud and clear. Good. No great coffee drinks. My only issue is that we ordered my granddaughter a smoothie. They make them in the back. We had to wait literally 25 minutes for the smoothie. Our coffee was gone by the time my granddaughter got her smoothie. But it looked really good read more

Great coffee but when did they start charging taxes as if their drinks aren't expensive enough ... Guess I need to start looking for another coffee place... I think the hype about their coffee is causing their price to not be affordable.... Best Drink Ever is the cheapest tasty drink that contains espresso that was $4.65 but now it's $5.02 for a large coz of tax! read more

I love their coffee! Its absolutely the best by far!!! The only reason why I am not rating it 5 stars is I feel like its unorganized, and the lines OH MY! They do have a carry out option if you call ahead, but even calling ahead it seems it doesnt speed up the process. read more

Soooo good. I got a warm chai latte and it was better than Starbucks for sure. I wish I lived in SD area so I could visit all the time but for now I'll just get it when I'm in town for work each month. read more

Super cute place! I love the open layout with all the rustic decorations. Definitely did a great job creating an inviting atmosphere where one would want to hangout, study, relax, etc. Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious! I love everything about this place. Coffee good. Atmosphere good. Location good. Only complaint is all the teenagers hanging out in there sometimes. Not eating or anything, just using wifi? Not sure. But, it would be nice to be able to sit down. Might be better when school back in session. read more

The avocado toast is the best breakfast (or lunch) ever!! I love this place and their employees excel at their jobs!! Thank you guys!

Seriously the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. First of all we ordered two avocado toasts which they ran out of at NOON. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and they took our order, gave us a number and everything. As we were waiting, they come up to us and tell us that they cannot make our sandwiches because they ran out of ciabatta bread. So we asked for any other type of bread and they said they can't make substitutions WHEN THEY WERE THE ONES WHO RAN OUT OF BREAD IN THE FIRST PLACE. We called the manger over and she said they're not allowed to use the bread of other sandwiches because they don't want to run out of bread for those. That's ridiculous...as they already ran out of bread and sold us those sandwiches. Hey, maybe next time get more bread!!! Never going there again! read more

Really good coffee, always a busy bustling place with people chatting and working all over. The few times I've been there I will say service has been slow, usually only one barista with 5+ drinks backed up. What a great place. I come here often to work on my non profit organization. If you can work in the hustle and bustle of coffe machines gassing and people talking etc, then this is the place for you. Finally got to try this coffee place, and the coffee was good, the gal who took our order was nice. The wait was long, but we were patient, after all we weren't in a rush. We grabbed our coffee and walked around to visit the neighboring shops. We returned about 45 minutes later to use the restroom, after all I was a paying customer. I had my daughter hold my cup, because who wants to take their food into a bathroom? There was an employee, Chelsea, waiting by the restroom door, I asked her if I needed to go get a code to access the bathroom. She responded, "the bathrooms are only for paying customers." I responded, "I am a paying customer, I left my coffee with my daughter. I didn't want to bring my coffee into the bathroom/toilet." She responded, and not in a nice nor welcoming tone, "I figured you would say that, so I'll let you in after I get out." Now if this was a question that was asked of all customers waiting to use the restroom, then no problem....but, she didn't ask the blond, White woman next to me. After I came out of the restroom there were five women waiting in line, and none of them were asked either. I walked out thinking, "wow, how could this happen to me! Why did she only question me and not any of the others waiting in line." I walked out feeling like my buzz was killed, and a bit broken hearted. After I got enough courage both my daughter and I spoke to the gal who took our order, she agreed that she should have never said that, they dont ask anyone if they were customers, then she called the manager. At the counter I watched the restroom line, and no one was asked if they were paying customers. The manager attempted to explain what I may have misunderstood. I kindly told her to please not make excuses, and just offer an apology. She admitted, that I was right. Offered to give us free coffee. I was NOT complaining to get a free cup of coffee, how offensive! I can afford to buy my own coffee. I left wondering if perhaps I was too brown and too black to be offered the same dignity and service as my counterparts. Its's unfortunate, the coffee was good, but this Chicanex Black women will not be getting her buzz in here anymore. Perhaps they should call Starbucks for information on the cultural sensitivity training their staff had to go through. read more
