I had seen these popular "Life is better buzzed" cups so on our way to La Jolla, I stopped by Better Buzz Coffee in Encinitas. It was packed on a Sunday and hipster. The decor was clean and they offered tea, coffee, and kombucha on tap. The options were overwhelming so I asked them what to get - a mint mojito iced coffee similar to Philz. I liked that I could get almond milk instead and that they even have seasonal flavors like pumpkin and snickerdoodle. read more

Woo hoo! Just got my black card. Now I can get some mid week extra shots and other goodies. Tried there breakfast and it is wonderful. Don't forget to try the the best drink ever! read more

Best coffee ever! Iced 'best drink ever' extra shot! Yum..so much better than Starbucks.

Great open space. Was packed during a weekday with students and laptop professionals.

I've been to Better Buzz twice now, and I am a fan! I love how cute the decor is on the inside... I almost feel like I am in Las Vegas :). I've tried the BDE (Best Drink Ever) and the Vanilla Bean Latte. I'd have to say that the BDE was my fave! BB is located right on the 101 and is great anytime. I'll be back! read more

This better buzz location is definitely one of my favorites. The trendy layout and relaxed atmospheres make it stand out from other locations. Tried the b.a.b.b. (Bacon, almond butter, banana) Sandwich and it was awesome! There were already a handful of people there by 6am so you know people must love it :) try this place if you are in the area ! read more

Nice spot to catch up with a friend or just relax and enjoy some coffee and people watch. Plenty of seats, and nice ambience. I ordered the horchata latte and usually I am a white mocha kinda person. We also picked up a red bull and a water. I also do appreciate the decor inside from the details on the walls and the hidden "B" legs on the community tables. There is plenty of coffee options around here but better buzz is my favorite. read more

I was so happy to find this shop had mint mojito coffee, but then it was flavored, not one single mint. How disappointing.

Awesome coffee! Awesome environment! We live in Arizona but visit SD often and always stop for our BUZZ!

Beautiful interior, tasty coffee and great people watch. Service happy but way too slow. 7 kids on floor but took them 15 min for service when just 4th in line. I'll come back solo but never for business or in prime time read more

The hazelnut divinity is the holy grail of coffee drinks. It's my boyfriends favorite. He can't get enough. I love their acai bowls. The atmosphere and decor is what really drew us in. It's so cute and modern. And the fact that the location is on the 101, the beach is so close by. Perfect little coffee shop for our Saturday mornings. read more

Coffee here is always on point whether I grab a good ole black coffee or get the best drink ever, and that's saying a lot because I am a bit of a coffee brat. And my kids absolutely love the hot chocolate. Keep it up, #betterbuzz read more

Love love better buzz!! Always consistent! I either order the skinny vanilla latte or skinny chai latte! Wow! So darn good! I like my drinks hot so I always have to ask them to heat up to 185 deg & it's just perfect! My fav coffee place! Plus they have the Best Acai bowls & Best Avo toast!! read more

Downtown Encinitas was in major need of a good coffee/breakfast spot. The interior is modern, chic and there lots of options for seating. Their coffee and treats are all yummy too (I have their nitro, honey latte, Danish, and sandwiches). I've been there 3 times since opening and plan on going weekly for my coffee fix. read more

I love good coffee, and this place has it! I love walking around, and going in and out of the shops here in Encinitas. Always ready to find a new place or try anything I stumble upon. So last week my husband and were Christmas shopping and we were in need of a good cup of coffee. ( We very much dislike bad or cheap coffee, not worth my time!) So we came upon this coffee place, Better Buzz Coffee! yeaaaaay and so glad I did. Friendly staff, a bit of a bicycle kind of decor going on, pretty big, lots of seating, and some nice open window side walk seating, love it! You can really get a great cup of coffee here, no drip but instead their coffee is based off of expresso shots. Delicious true tasting coffee. I LOVE A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE!!!!!! and anything else is a waste of my time. bleh! BUZZ coffee is deliciously fresh and just the best! okay, I want some right now! read more

Best drink ever is the best drink ever, even for a black coffee person like me. It is best with 1/2 coconut and 1/2 vanilla

There are so many new coffee shops opening up and I've had some pretty amazing coffee before, locally and abroad. This place is ok, but it's not a place I'd go to first if I had a choice. read more

Buzz is a pretty nice spot. It's located on a nice area near the beach. I had theor honey latte, and it did not disappoint! One of those coffee houses out of the ordinary; ideal to meet up or just reading a book. read more

Great coffee but the WiFi is terrible. Cuts in and out constantly, and that's if you're lucky enough to connect in the first place. With so many great boutique coffee places/work spaces in town, you'd think this issue would be fixed promptly. read more

We LOVED our morning at Better Buzz. The coffee was delish, the breakfast sandwiches were yummy and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. read more

Encinitas was in need of a coffee, hangout spot and Better Buzz definitely delivers that. The baristas are friendly, the decor is super cute, and the coffee is good. I really like "The Best Drink Ever." read more

Great coffee joint with good decor on the PCH. They make great lattes (pretty sweet but it's fine since you can ask to adjust the sweetness) and offer great coffee to buy to make cold brew yourself. We purchased their dark roast Night Sky and the result with cold brew method was a clean yet fragrant coffee with almost no acidity. Very nice. Didn't mind the hazelnut latte I had when picking up the coffee either. Staff was very friendly and quick with the service. Would definitely come back.....kids loved the chocolate croissant also. read more

After coming here for the first time, it is now my new favorite place! I love the vibe, and their acai/pitaya bowls are the best I've had. Also, huge shoutout to the great customer service. My only complaint would be that that drinks are a little overpriced for what they are. Will definitely be coming again. read more

Quickly become one of my favorite places for morning coffee in Encinitas. I always end up running into people that I know, and it's a nice friendly atmosphere with amazing food and fantastic coffee - the avocado toast is amazing! read more

Seriously one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to! Their hazelnut and honey latte are amazing! Flavorful and you can still taste the boldness of the coffee read more

I like this place but service is incredibly slow even when there isn't a line out the door! By the type of place you'll want to grab and go in a hurry but definitely good for lounging ! read more

Love the atmosphere of this place!! Very hipster and unique. I tried the "Best Drink Ever" and indeed it lived up to its name! I wanted to try an acai bowl, but unfortunately they were out of acai (which was a bummer), hopefully the next time I will be able to try it. Also had a grilled caprise sandwich, very tasty. read more

Long delay. Lost my order and didn't seem to care. Out of sugar. Good coffee. Probably Wouldn't go back.

Mexican Hot Chocolate. Hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. Super cute place, ambiance and AMAZING coffee. They also have kombucha on tap, and little bites that are delic! read more

Love their Matcha Latte Iced! So delicious, my only complaint is that sometimes it can be a little grainy. If the consistency of how this drink is made was better, I would totally give a 5 star review. :) read more

Love this coffee shop!!!! Located in the beautiful Encinitas, this coffee shop has great cold brew as well as lattes. They also have lots of milk options for the dairy free. The decor has the industrial modern feel and has lots of room for sitting with your laptop and doing some work. read more

Such a cute and bright space. This location serves an iced Gibraltar, which is amazing; You don't even need to put some cream in it. When I don't get that, I get an iced Best Drink Ever. read more

My coffee tasted like sugar... And I felt weird not giving a tip... Like at starbucks you must swipe your card. I usually don't tip for just 1 thing... The cashier seemed like she was being extra nice but it seemed kinda fake. Then when I didn't tip she seemed dissappointed amd it was awkward... But I hated the flavor of the drink although it did keep me up. read more

I love this location! It's super adorable and cozy, love the interior and overall vibe of the place. The staff is average but great food quality read more

This place is always happening. Good vibe. The coffee drinks and pastries are overpriced (but hey it's Encinitas, par for the course) but delicious. The prepared food is good too. But GOODNIGHT IRENE, it takes SOOOO long to get your order. Even just drinks, but if you order food? Fuhheddaboutit! Pull up a chair (if you can find one), hope you brought a good book. I work around the corner and about once a month (when enough time has passed that I've forgotten about the last time), I think "I'm gonna go grab a bite from Better Buzz real quick, it'll just take a minute." 20-30 minutes later I'm wondering if an Oompa Loompa had an accident with the blender while making my pitaya bowl. (Or almond butter toast - like, are they baking the bread, grinding almonds into a fine paste, and milking the bees for honey back there?!) I'm joking about the Oompa Loompa but that's about it. The moral of the story is, if you're ordering food, call ahead. read more

I came into this location and had a very strange experience. Nicole asked what we wanted and I asked if the chai tea had caffeine, as I couldn't consume anything with caffeine. She said it did and suggested the gingerbread herbal tea. I went with that. Sounded good. While she was writing my cup she told my mom and I randomly "I hate working here so much the owner is so stingy I can't believe I work today and the next 8 days..." it went on for at least 2 minutes. We were so caught of guard (as I didn't ask anything in the first place) but remained kind and waited for my drink. After 15 minutes the barista said they were out of the tea and I mentioned Nicole had grabbed it and put it to the side (I could literally see it, so I kindly pointed). He said great and I was given a HOT cup. When I took a sip it was literally boiling black coffee. It was 100% coffee. I've been into better buzz dozens of times and never had a poor experience but this was very strange! read more
