Absolutely my favorite location! The staff there is always so friendly, the store is nice and clean, and I like the open airiness next to the beach. Lots of table space, it's utilized well for the size of the building. I've been going here for months and i have to give a special shout out to the manager, Bethany, for hiring some amazing people! Mackenzie and Garrett are so kind every time I visit. Thanks!! read more

Been coming here for years, not sure why I haven't reviewed this place yet but this is still one of my favorite places in Encinitas. Came in recently and they are so consistent in how they make their drinks. My go to is their rose water latte, the lavender latte with almond milk or their matcha latte. Friends have raved about their Hazelnut divinity and it's a little too sweet for my liking. Takes a little while for you to get your drinks but it's worth the wait. Service is great. Really cute open / walk-up aesthetic. Community table available. They sell cute merch and some food items as well. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

For a busy Sunday morning, my drinks were ready in good timing. The staff were in good spirits and were hustling the orders out.

I always love to try new coffee houses that don't have a mermaid on them. There was a line to go in so that was a good sign. It was my 400pm iced coffee break so that's what I ordered. The coffee was very good but it needed to be sweetened and a few packs of sugar made it the way I like it. I like the Buzz interior and the imagination used for some of the furnishings. read more

Great drinks, the best coffee locally! Fast service and good ambiance. Located in a perfect spot in Encinitas

5 stars all around for this better buzz location!! I recommend * the pink dragon smoothie * an iced dirty chai * an iced matcha latte * avacado toast * og açaí bowl The vibes in this coffee shop are immaculate-- perfect for studying or working remotely! I definitely stop by here every now and then to do work at this location. The shop itself is very bright and open. The bathroom is always clean. And the workers are some of the most hardworking workers I've ever seen! 50% of the time the line for better buzz is OUT THE DOOR, and these workers are busted their little bee butts to make sure everything tastes perfect as always. Personally, I'd have a minor melt down if I were to work at one of the most popping coffee shops on a Main Street and I saw THAT LINE-- I hope everyone who decides to visit this location keeps that in mind! Because it does look a little crazy sometimes. But the workers there are always so great and so kind-- and I wish I could thank some of them in this review, but I'll be back for name and to give everyone more updates for sure!! To my favorite bees: thank you, thank youuu, thaaaank youuuu!!! :,) read more

BB is right in the middle of downtown Encinitas. There is a nice open air front and the place was bustling when I was there. Service was not compromised being fast, accurate and cordial. They also have a nice selection of merchandise cups, shirts, doodads. I enjoyed the energy there, coffee was great and the Buzz was Better. read more

(Deep sigh) Better Buzz Encinitas, is different than the others. The Encinitas location is the red headed step brother. Unorganized and chaotic are words that come to mind. You'll be waiting forever, even if you order online. The workers run around like chickens with no heads. Most of them look like they just rolled out of bed. The manager is great, but she can't control her staff. Compared to other locations, this place makes me laugh. If you enjoy stress and chaos with your daily morning brew, The Encinitas location just might be for you. read more

It's one of those chains that can be cool and chic but the crowd is a mix, can be cool but can also be snobby. The beverages were just okay, most are sweetened like the matcha is already sweet. I love the variety and creativity on the menu, it just doesn't deliver that way. They also don't ask you what size you want and default to the large but list the price of a small. The large drinks just feel watered down. Typically you would add another shot of espresso but theirs just felt weak, so I would go for a smaller size that's less diluted with milk. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in the world, I come multiple times a week and buy the vanilla powder to make my own Better Buzz at home. Their iced vanilla latte literally cannot be beat and I have tried so many coffee shops. Most workers are nice but one lady is always rude to me and every other customer. I was triggered to make this review as I listened to her actually yell at two customers across a 30 minute time when I was sitting trying to work on my laptop. She very much ruins the vibes of this normally peaceful establishment. (She wasn't wearing a name tag but id the 50 year old woman with grey highlighted hair). Still rating 5 stars because I love Better Buzz and would never want to bring your rating down. read more

I stopped by here to do some studying on the way from North county down to La Jolla. There was only street parking that I saw but it wasn't too difficult to find on a weekday afternoon. I was at first disappointed to see that this place has a more limited menu compared to the Hillcrest location. I usually like to get the ricotta toast but since they didn't have that, I settled for the poached egg and toast. It was simple and good but nothing amazing. Just some good study food. The perks of this place is that it is right next to water so if you want to take a study break you can get some relaxing views! read more

Let me make this clear Coffee + pastries + breakfast = !!!!! SUPER TASTY. Fresh coffee. Good breakfast. Long story short. BUT.. their consistency... oh boy. What a let down... I have ordered a specific drink (or not specific) thru their online ordering option and it's probably been 3 times that they got my order wrong.. most of the time it is because they are forgetting the cream or sweetener I have asked to be put in!! See photo example. What I ordered thru a group mobile order: *regular cold brew *with cream *sugar free caramel What I got: *regular cold brew *unsure if there's pumps *with no cream I called Doordash service to have them send the correct order. No problems there. They replaced the order. But guess what they replaced it with... Re-try order: *nitro cold brew (That's it) Sooo... long story short, just order in person. Save ur self the $$ and time and get it in person. Plus, I heard doordash takes the tips/money and betterbuzz doesn't! read more

The service was friendly is the only nice thing I can say. The coffee was sickening sweet and it made me immediately feel sick I couldn't even finish it. Better buzz is mediocre across San Diego but this location is the worst. read more

Cute location and right near the beach. I ordered ahead for 1 drink and 1 pastry item and it ended up taking about 34 minutes after I got to the shop before I got my food. I ended up asking about my pastry which I could see sitting on the counter and they gave it to me. Then I waited a while longer for my drink. It seemed like others were having a similar experience. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt so maybe their online system was glitching because they had a ton of staff behind the counter so it wasn't a lack of employees. Wouldn't turn me off of going back but it was surprising since I've never experienced that at any other Better Buzz locations. read more

I can't believe I just found out about this coffee spot despite having gone to SD so so many times. There's a reason there are so many establishments and long lines, the coffee here is amazing! YUM!!! This place is a true gem in Encinitas. If you like sweeter coffee concoctions, this place is definitely for you. I usually get the honey latte but decided to try out the rosewater latte today. I can say it was probably one of the most unique flavors I've ever had in a coffee, and I was trying to slurp up every last drop. Its definitely one of my favorite cafes in San Diego, and they even have oat milk which is great for my lactose intolerant body. The one thing I will say is this place is pretty pricey. Be prepared to drop $5 or more on a latte or coffee drink. That, however, is becoming more and more normal though, so the costs aren't overly surprising. read more

I asked manager and then again in a yelp review months ago (which was removed) if they could consider offering a plant-based protein for their smoothies. It makes NO SENSE that their ONLY option is whey. Whoever reads yelp messages read my follow-up recently and ignored it, no reply. Why exclude customers who are allergic to dairy, who want to make a healthier choice, or who care about the well-being of animals? Whey protein gives you acne because of the hormones in dairy, by the way. It would be so easy to simply offer a plant-based protein powder for everyone (if they don't want to have two options), as anyone would be able to consume it. And it is not more expensive. Why insist on only offering dairy protein powder? read more

Absolutely love this place! There's nothing not to love here. The decor is awesome, vibe is great, and drinks are AMAZING. My friend brought me here since we were visiting in the area and I have to come back. I'm a huge coffee addict, and drink from cold brews with no sweetener/creamer to lattes. I also don't like my coffee to be too sweet. I ordered the horchatta latte and it was perfect to the taste! I also tried my friend's "best drink ever," and that was also perfect! One of my favorite coffee spots overall. I wish there was a place like this in LA! read more

I'm normally not a big coffee enthusiast. I would have some once in a while as well as drink it when I need it to stay awake, but I'm not one of those people who drink coffee everyday. Better Buzz Coffee might change that. I really wish we had one in the Los Angeles area, San Diego you really have it nice. This location was super crowded and had a limited amount of parking. After circling for a couple minutes, I found street parking on the nearby side street. Entering the cafe, it was packed with people lounging and in line. Despite being a modest sized place, all the tables were full. I guess the locals do appreciate having Better Buzz Coffee! I wasn't really sure what to get, but I knew that I had to try something from this place. In the end, I decided to get the 'Best Drink Ever' which is their signature Americano with sweetness, cream, and vanilla. I've had Americano before, and none tasted as good as this one; maybe it really is the best drink ever... The Americano was refreshing and the flavor was also perfect. It wasn't bland or too sweet. I can't drink coffee without cream, so this is what I expect from a good coffee! Better Buzz Coffee is another place that I will have to come back to when I'm in San Diego. The Best Drink Ever was great, although there were also other drinks I would like to try as well. So many drinks...not enough San Diego trips. They have plenty of locations throughout the area, so you're never too far from one! read more

One afternoon I wanted to get a cold coffee beverage and chose to go to Better Buzz in Encinitas. I had difficulty finding parking so I went around the block a couple of times, and decided to park in the back of the shop. I've frequented this shop over the years and typically enter from the back of the shop. I noticed the door said employee entrance only and hadn't been to the shop to get coffee during modified hours and online ordering. I have been having some severe back pain so was hoping to get a drink quickly. What a horrible experience I that day. I called ahead and spoke with one of the employees saying that they were open so when I walked in with my mask on, I was confronted by Brandon. He commented that I needed to come to the front of the building and place my order via my phone. I said that I was having trouble walking and I understood that I shouldn't have come through the back door. I told them that would have to come back another time since I wasn't able to walk around to the front of the shop as he directed me to. I said thank you to Brandon and the girl who was working in the shop that day. Brandon said, "have a great day girl"... I responded, "you too." Then Brandon changed his tune and in a really loud whisper, he made a really snarky remark saying "wow, you should really learn how to read and your back doesn't look like it really hurts, lady!" I had walked to the back door when I heard what he said was very hurtful, unkind, and rude. I confronted him and told him that was unkind. There were many other ways that he could have been helpful. Customer service and being kind should go hand in hand. I was in tears when I left. I went on the Better Buzz website to report my mistreatment and hadn't heard back from anyone regarding this. Several days later I called the main office and left a voice mail. Again, no one reached out to me. Please feel free to reach out to me as I have already mesaged called corporate I would like to discuss this. read more

I usually never have any complaints whenever I get anything from Better Buzz, but it must have been a really off day because the drinks were very watery.
