I've always dreamt of having a regular go-to coffee shop, especially one next to home. I came to Bellden before I moved to Bellevue (from Portland), and saw that they served Coava coffee from back home- already a plus in my books to have a taste of home. And now, I'm so happy to call Bellden my home coffee shop. It never fails that I walk in and automatically feel in good spirits. The girls are always so kind and welcoming, and the shop is just serene. I'm a sucker for beautiful plants, and they have them EVERYWHERE. It's always clean and you can tell they really love their space as well. Now to the coffee: absolutely delicious. They have a house-made non-dairy milk which is so yummy, but I'm a sucker for some Oat milk- which they also have. Their menu is so fun with unique, but what makes it even better, is they donate 25% of profits from their fun seasonal drinks to charities around the area. So when I say I always feel good walking in, I mean it. They're giving back to a community that needs it, and that's tough to find in this area sometimes. I have yet to try their food menu, but it is so beautifully presented and looks delicious. Came back to update my review for Bellden Cafe because I had a phenomenal second experience here. I was meeting up with a friend for brunch and we decided on Bellden. I had only been once before and she hadn't been at all. It was pretty busy around brunch time on Saturday, but we were able to snag a table. The girls working that day were extremely friendly. The girl taking our order was so nice and so fun to talk to. I ended up ordering an iced oat milk matcha and their Greek yogurt bowl. My friend got a caramel iced latte with avocado toast. I was absolutely blown away by the matcha... it's probably one of the best I've ever had. It was sweet, but not too sweet. I need to know what kind of oat milk they use because it had the best flavor. They use pure matcha powder and use water and honey to sweeten it. I'll have to try that at home :). Love when coffee shops use pure matcha instead of pre-sweetened matcha latte powder. I'm a huge Greek yogurt girl and probably eat yogurt an unhealthy amount (if that's possible...? Lol). Their yogurt bowl was amazing! It was topped with seeds, fruit, honey, and granola. I'd definitely get it again. It was a bit on the pricier side in my opinion -- I paid about $22-23 for both things (including tip). Overall, I had a great experience and can't wait to go back!!! To brunch or not the brunch. In my book, it's always a yes in my book whenever that question is posed. Bellden Cafe has been one of the few coffee shops that have been open during COVID with some outdoor seating on (sitting 2-4 people at a table max). True, the view isn't particularly amazing to look at (just a bunch of construction sites and buildings) but it is a way to get some decent coffee if you're in the area. There really isn't any street parking, so you have to rely on their bulding's garage parking. If you remember your stall number, they'll validate, so don't forget when you arrive. As a heads up, Bellden Cafe also does not accept cash, so you have to pay with credit/debit card. They have a variety of avocado toasts (around $11-$13). I ordered the pink avocado toast (that came with my choice of salad or fruit). Though it was honestly a bit pricey for toast, it was nice to have more than just coffee and baked goods as an offering. I've still had better toasts elsewhere but the bread had a nice chew and the flavors were fresh. read more

Met a friend, along with my husband, for brunch here today. So glad I found this place, it was right up my alley. My stomach can't do greasy diner food so I'm always happy to find a place that does stuff like salads, bowls and toasts. They had plenty of eat. I had an Açaí bowl and the strawberry goat cheese salad. My husband had the Avo toast and our friend had the PNW salad. Even my cold brew was fantastic. Be aware that on the weekends there is a long wait time for food (about a half hour at 11 am). Bellden Cafe is an independently owned cafe on Main Street. The company is unique because they donate 25% of their profits from their special or seasonal drinks to various charities. With that said, they're prices are relatively high even fro the Eastside. I ordered a 16-oz iced matcha latte with their coconut almond milk (since I'm lactose intolerant), and my total came out to nearly $7. While the latte tasted better than your typical Starbucks matcha latte, I can't say it was worth $7. I didn't order any food, but they have quite a large selection of sandwiches and salads. However, their bakery case section is fairly limited. One cool thing my friend and I noticed was that Bellden has small meeting rooms in the back. I assume you have to reserve them ahead of time, but I had never seen meeting rooms built into a cafe before. The servers were quick and friendly. No complaints there. Stopped by around 1pm and the atmosphere was great with decent amount of seating. The menu had great options and the drinks were delicious. The flavor of the cold brew was great, not sour or bitter at all. The matcha latte was the perfect level of sweetness (not too sweet like Starbucks). Food was brought out relatively quick. Matcha waffle was delicious! Loved the house made cream and jam on top, was slightly on the tart side but it paired well with the syrup/honey(?). Avocado toast has a more subtle flavor but was generous with seasoning. Açaí bowl was also on the tart side but the honey topping paired well. All fruit tasted fresh. Water was available. -1 star since the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price point. read more

I will be writing my review assuming the regular price, even though I came here for Earth Day where they had a promotion where if you bring a reusable cup or mug, you get the drink for free (any drink!). I opted for one of their charity drinks as they are the special drinks and they donate some of their proceeds to respective charities, which is pretty cool. I got the spring time latte which has lavender, honey, and lemon, served hot, in my 16oz reusable cup. The regular price is $6+tax which is still pretty good for the quality and quantity of the drink. I enjoyed the very fragrant lavender and the coffee is strong yet not too sweet. It was a nice touch for the barista to make a latte art even in the reusable mug. A plus is that there is ample seating so that people can come here and relax or work in a cute little cafe. Don't forget to fill in the iPad for parking validation as the parking is pay by mobile app in a garage around the corner, but you don't need to do that - just fill the iPad next to the cash register with your license plate ASAP and you will be set for 2 hours. read more

Bellden cafe is super cute with lots of indoor seating and good wifi. They have a great menu and I love that they donate part of the proceeds to charity! I got the Let me Love you Latte with housemade coconut cashew milk and it was delicious. The avocado toast was really good too, although I think for the price ($11) there could be more on the toast (maybe tomatoes?). The prices are definitely expensive, I spent $20 here on just those two items before tip, but knowing they donate some to charity makes it worth it for a visit, although it wouldn't be a daily place for me because of the prices. I could see myself stopping in every once in a while. I was working from here and had no issues with the wifi, it was quiet (it was a weekday though so likely less busy than a weekend), and there were lots of tables to choose from. The tables with the round bases wobble a lot though, and the chairs are really loud. Parking is validated for 2 hours in the garage, just remember your spot number and your license plate. read more

First time trying this place out and honestly thought it was a bit overhyped. The place was overcrowded when I got there on a Friday morning. I ordered a latte and a hot chocolate for my daughter. When I asked for whipped cream on the hot cocoa they said they only had coconut whip which I said was fine, but when it came they just gave me the smallest teaspoon amount in a condiment cup. It was a bit disappointing for my toddler since she's used to having proper whipped cream with sprinkles and even asked me what was in the condiment cup. The food options looked like there was only Avocado toast and some waffles. I didn't see bakery items displayed anywhere so wasn't sure if they even had croissants or muffins. The line was long so I ordered fast and tried looking for a spot to sit. I asked about parking validation and the lady told I would need to spend atleast $15 in order to get validation and I was only at $11. We had a private dinner here for my birthday, and I was absolutely blown away by the thoughtfulness Claire put into everything. Not only was the cafe decorated beautifully, but the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and she had created a gorgeous photo wall for us to take pictures. She created and printed a custom menu that revolved around my favorite places I've traveled and the places still on my bucket list. She also brought out 2-3 courses that were surprises and not on the menu. She created beautiful postcards with drawings from my favorite places. She had a musician play while we ate. And she even got me a birthday gift and birthday cake (on top of the dessert she prepared). We all had a wonderful time and I truly felt special and celebrated. We had the Bellden Coffee Cart serve at Bellevue High School's wrestling tournament, the Wolverine Scuffle. They showed up early, set-up quickly with great signage, equipment, etc. and served a great selection of coffee and non-coffee beverages and snacks all day. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our 600+ athletes and fans AND donated a portion of proceeds back to the team. It was a great experience and we are definitely interested in having them at more BHS events! read more

The Seattle metro area LOVES their coffee. And I have to admit I'm a bit addicted to Bellden's Iced Caramel Stand Still. It's caramel, vanilla and espresso, only served iced (perfect on a hot summers day, but I order it year round). I'm also doing my local community good, since 25% of the profits from that drink go to a charity! Which is another reason why I totally support local, small businesses like Bellden, they always feature a charity and select purchased drink items linked to supporting them. And I've heard rave reviews from friends who've had their avocado toast, which I can't cuz I'm allergic to avocados... :( Bellden's is on the pricier side of cafes, but they do things so well! The staff there are super friendly. It's a great place to do some work, there are some rooms separate from the main dining area for that, although they are not entirely closed off to the cafe. Currently sipping on their Home for the holidays latte while writing this review. I'm so glad that they recommended this drink to me. I thought it would be similar to a mocha since it has cocoa but it's not. It reminds me of a Vietnamese coffee but not as sweet. I'd highly recommend this drink! I also got a peanut butter cookie which is surprisingly not sweet. I would say it could use more flavor. I came in last week and tried the let me love you latte which I would recommend for people that don't like sweet coffees. It was refreshing but but the sweetness was too subtle for me, I would ask for extra syrup next time. The only disappointment was that I ordered a breakfast sandwich, which cost about $8 including tax, but saw that they reheated a frozen breakfast sandwich. With that price I would assume it would've been freshly made. I love how the cafe is filled with greenery, and they had two private "rooms" or areas that can accommodate 8 or so people. The cafe when you first walk in gives off a very simple vibe. It's designed to feel open even though several of the tables are quite close together. This is a cute little coffee cafe with coupke individual meeting rooms. Checked in for lunch and picked up a lovely spring charity latte and the Açaí bowl. I really enjoyed the latte, the added acidity in the spring latte made it sharp. The Açaí bowl was very delicious as well with sweet berries and crunchy granola to balanced the tartness.There are very clear markings for COVID spacing. As I walked in, I immediately made a mental note that this is a space where I can sit and work for a few hours if needed. 2nd visit to Bellden, I wanted to get a light breakfast and good coffee. I ordered a tall Americano and ABC toast. The Americano was strong and perfect to my liking. What disappointed me was the toast. Way too many toppings, everything kept falling off and the toast was over crunchy - my palate was so raw after the toast. I gave a 4* anyway for the ambience and service. Service didn't disappoint, they kept extending my 2 hour parking for free so I could complete my work. Bellden a gem for many reasons! One of my favorite parts of Bellden is the cafe itself. It's such a great place to sit down and work or chat with a friend, when it's deemed safe to of course. The big windows bring in so much light, and the amount of plants in the cafe will make any indoor plant enthusiast jealous. There are even small rooms for small groups as well as outdoor seating. Of course the coffee is great too! My go-to drink is the Spring Time Latte. They have great food options too and I've been eyeing their açai bowls. For my fellow at-home baristas, they sell coffee beans too! What I absolutely love is how they help the community. Proceeds of certain items on their menu go to specific organizations. And several times during the pandemic, they have had supply drives to help people in need. Bellden is walkable to many in the Downtown Bellevue area, and parking is available around the corner in the South West corner of the apartment complex.
