Bellden Cafe isn't a place where I'd normally eat a meal at, but we were only a bit peckish and in the middle of playing a board game. After being recommended Bellden Cafe by a foodie friend for a quick meal, we headed over to get some takeout to eat during the game. Mr. Brioche ($11) - This sandwich starts with a rich toasted brioche bun, which is then slathered with some creamy and fatty aioli. A soft and tender, spiced breakfast patty is placed on top, charred just a tad to give some browning and develop flavor. Some eggs, cooked on the flat top in a circular mold which makes it perfectly conform to the size of the bun, is carefully placed on top of the meat, and then finally some swiss cheese cements the sweet vegetal microgreens atop. The bun is voluminous, especially noteworthy in height. The interior ingredients only reaches perhaps 1/3 the height of the bun, making it appear that the sandwich will be dry. But that's an impression soon deemed to be false, as there's more than enough moisture from the aioli and melted cheese to smooth things over. (4/5) I don't normally associate cafes, particularly ones that seem to lean more towards the drink side of things, to also serve good food. But overall, I came out pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food I ate. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.
Loved this place!!! I can't wait to come back. I love fresh, delicious, and well prepared meals that are made with love! Like you can just see and taste how important this establishment is to the owner. You can tell they care about their customers and their business! I really appreciate a good meal! I love the design of the cafe, the dishes they serve their food on, the strong flavor of everything we had. What ever it says in the title on the menu is what you actually taste. Thank you for a wonderful experience! My palette appreciates you! You get to experience the aroma of your food with every bite. It's pretty amazing. I want to try more items on the menu. I was reading the complaints about a server but I might know what is being explained. There was a server that may seem like she doesn't care but that's not the case at all I think it might be a language barrier that's all. The service was great!
Lovely cafe! Well crafted specialty coffee drinks with a heart for non profits and social good. The pea and pistachio salad has the most delicious citrus dressing full of summer vibes. The server was warm and friendly. The space is perfect for a chat with a friend. Free 2 hour parking in the building - just let the cashier know your license plate.
Came by for a little Sunday lunch. They validate the garage with a $15 minimum purchase which is reasonable. The space inside is cute. Very open, lots of plants, and chill I ordered the pnw adventure salad and the tropical smoothie. Smoothie is refreshing, not too sweet, and surprisingly, not overpowered by the banana. The salad was pretty good, but the croutons were a little stale. I loved the sauce and addition of capers and blueberries. Service throughout was nice as well. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out. Everything else is self serve. Overall, good vibes!
I love this little cafe! The food is tasty AND beautiful (it is a personal pet peeve of mine when food is cute but bland) Here, you can eat to enjoy with your eyes and taste buds! The cashiers/baristas are always friendly and helpful with suggestions. It seemed to be quite busy when I went both times (weekend afternoon) but was able to find a place to sit.
As good as last time we visisted 7 years ago. Still the best for brunch. Sitting in its office-like room, it may not be very friendly for Instagram posts. Without a professional light, I'd have to adjust white balance on photos in post-process. Probably to try a by-window seat next time.
We were looking a cute cafe place, and we found Bellden cafe. Sadly they sold out the sourdough bread. The person who took our order seems a bit pissed about something but oh well, it's not a big deal. The place was very cute and I love all the decor, especially the bird cage booth. The salad was really good! The dressing paired so perfect and it's not overpowering. We didn't know there's only one waffle but it's very tasty. Kinda bumped it's only one waffle. The coffee was okay. And the banana bread matcha was not good in my opinion. It tasted overly sweet and I asked for less sweet. And it did not taste like the good matcha. Overall I think if you order coffee might be better, and their food overall pretty good.
I came in around 11am on a Thursday and there were a few seats occupied. The brunette woman helping me at the front was kind and patient while I perused the menu. I settled on the Mt Olympus toast with an extra slice of the PNW since I couldn't make up my mind. I also ordered the Belldens White Mocha, which was not overly sweet surprisingly. As I sat and ate, the place received plenty of customers who also chose to dine-in. Service was great, atmosphere was beautiful. You are expected to bus your own tables, common at small coffee shops. I street parked on the west side of the building, requiring a slight climb up the hill back to my car. It was free though, so no complaints! I would return to "work from home" or if I was in the area and looking for a cute bite. In total I paid $36, not including tip.
Came here for a quick bite and to meet up with friends on a Thursday. We knew the pricing would be up there, as is common for Bellevue coffee shops like this, but we were hoping for a bit higher quality in food/drink. I got the immunity fighter smoothie and it was just a very standard tasting smoothie, it wasn't even fully blended. It just tasted like something I could have made at home, and for $9 I was hoping for something more. Food followed the same fact pattern. The service was friendly here, absolutely no issues with that! The ambiance is what you're really paying for, which is fine I suppose. It's a nice place to get a coffee and hangout with some friends. You can get some work done too because they have a couple privacy rooms where you can take a quick call if needed
I used to come here pre-pandemic when my office was located in Bellevue. Now that I work remote I don't go to Bellevue as much and only recently stopped back in here for a treat. I got the pink avo toast and market toast because I wanted both savory and sweet. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. I also got the iced caramel stand still... best coffee I've ever had. It tastes like coffee flavored haggen dazs ice cream! On top of that, the vibe is so cute in there and the woman at the counter made my whole day. She was SO friendly and welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in giving each costumer a good experience. I mentioned I was treating myself by ordering a coffee drink because I had recently got a ninja cafe espresso machine and was making drinks at home normally. She mentioned they offer a drink free if you buy 2 bags of beans. I have been trying different brands and figured I would give theirs a try (I'm sooooo glad I did because I'm obsessed. It's so tasty!). To top it all off, she knew that ninjas require you to "waste" some beans when you're dialing new ones into your machine so that you can get the grind setting right. Without even asking, she gave me a free cup of beans to use for that!! I can't wait to come back again soon!
What a cute little cafe! I really felt like it was spring in here with blooms galore and a fantastic garden wall. Drinks were fantastic as well serving up creative specialties along with all your favorite classics. From espressos to teas, I got the sense of delicious quality with a touch of love. Speaking of love, yes I got the milk heart art in my latte (the mark of an upscale cafe???). Brenna was an awesome barista. Very efficient and still warm and welcoming with a smile! Spring time latte (5): I love lavender so this community drink really stood out to me. It did not disappoint. 10% of their community proceeds go back to the community too! Smooth, hint of lavender and sweetness from the honey. This likely will be my go-to. Overall, wonderful cafe. Nice inviting seating area. Happy staff and perfectly made drinks. Can't ask for more.

First time here. The simple, bright decor was inviting. We ordered the matcha waffle, PNW toast and the açaí bowl. The waffle was delicious. It had some kind of berry compote on top and crème fraiche. It had just the right amount of sweetness and didn't need any syrup. My daughter enjoyed the açaí bowl. Not too sweet and lots of fresh fruit. It was cold and refreshing. The star was the PNW toast. So simple with just salmon and cream cheese but it was heavenly. Quality counts and this dish had it. Would definitely order it again. So great that they donate to local charities. I love supporting local businesses who give back to the community. It's also a woman owned business so that's an added plus in my book! read more

There is a lot next door, they offer 2 hour validated parking. I would say this isn't a good place to work with your laptop, I didn't see many plugs. Love that they offer food like different types of toasts. Coffee was great! Bonus when they offer sugar free syrups (vanilla & hazelnut). Cozy place to sit & chat. Such a cute cafe, reasonably priced, and friendly service! Community minded owners are a huge plus. They donate 25% of their proceeds on "charity" drinks to local non-profits. Tried the Spring Time Latte and was pleasantly surprised how rich it was. The food looked amazing. Will be back to try! These types of cafes are hard to find nowadays. What a cute and cozy cafe - and with validated parking to boot! I had the opportunity to check this place out as a Yelp experience but of course wanted to try additional menu items. I was so impressed with the options and how kind everyone working here was. The space was busy and buzzing with people sharing time but didn't feel overly crowded. I enjoyed the ambiance and was in and out of there within about 12 minutes. Next time I will have a seat and stay awhile. read more
Get the avo toast. Bread comes from Macrina bakery so I can easily recreate it at home. Would have loved to have it with a fried egg on top. Chocolate chip cookie was gooey since I asked them to heat it up. Didn't really care for the coffee drink since it was light it flavor and was more milk forward. Yummy ! This café is so delicious and is a hidden gem ! The vibe is vibrant and tranquil. This café is perfect for a charming date, coffee get together, meetings, and just to swing by for a coffee, tea, baked goods, breakfast or lunch ! I stopped by for the first time with my family visiting from Miami and my partner. We collectively agree everything we ordered was so delicious and fresh ! We ordered waffles, breakfast sandwiches, coffees and the different toast options and everything was a 10 out of 10! The service was good with a great attention to detail. A 12 ounce latte is 3.95. Add the oat milk and it's still reasonable. Although I would love to see non-dairy milk's not have up charges Well I have loved nearby Third Culture Coffee- it is quite expensive and I will be coming here much more. 3. Charity supporting. Take the latte challenge I always said. Just think if everybody in Seattle I put the money for their usual coffee drink into a charity bowl just once a month how much that would generate in support for our communities?! Here at Bellden Cafe, you can choose certain drink items that are still very reasonable and 25% of the money goes to different charity community groups. Look at their board and see my photo for more information. 4. Clean and light yet warm. No heavy dust hanging off the light fixtures. Yeah 5. They have parking in the garage behind them. It's worth driving around the block if you miss it. There's also parking on the side streets. Look for the signs it is across from some construction. It is well worth the find. The charity Yelp event brought us to this cafe. Glad we participated. The service here is definitely kind and gracious. Customer service is very good here. The space is nicely arranged and decorated. They also have some rooms with glass sliding doors. Great for group meetings or gatherings. We ordered the charity drink - "Home For The Holidays Latte" with soy. It was tasty and balanced; nicely made. We paired our drink with avocado toast (that comes with salad or fruit), we chose salad to go w/ our toast. Delicious. All delicious and well prepared. The springtime latte was not that good, I've had better honey lavender lattes before. But they DO donate part of the proceeds to charity, which I don't really see in a lot of cafes! Nice experience. I got the home for the holidays latte and peanut butter cookies. They have validated parking for two hours but make sure to get it validated right away since the parking enforcer is so quick. We were just at the cafe maybe 10-15mins when we got back the garage the enforcer was checking the cars. The service was awesome! Also loved the nook inside where you could work. I try to go to Seattle at least once a year because one of my best friends live there and one morning, we wanted to get some breakfast before doing stuff for the day. I really enjoy Bellevue and it's always nice to see more buildings being built with every visit. This cafe is a great addition and was fantastic to go to. They offer light breakfast options but also some a lil heartier if you are feeling more hungry. I didn't think my coffee drink I ordered was the greatest but it did its job and got be caffeinated. I ordered the sweet almond toast with a side salad. I was not expecting that much almonds on it, but I also didn't know what to expect. The toast was fantastic though! I really liked how it was light and was simple but in a good way! My friends liked what they ordered as well. This place was busy the whole time and wasn't too loud. So it was good noise. I really enjoyed this place and a lot of their food options they offer like toast, açaí bowls, and breakfast sandwiches. This place has good vibes and friendly workers! Went here twice to do work and was not disappointed both times. Got the chai latte with a shot of espresso and it tasted amazing as well as being consistent both times. The prices are still pretty much Seattle prices but nothing against them for that. Their Wi-Fi is good which already puts it above some other cafes where the internet is a little shaky. There are two rooms which you can slide a door to make it more private and seems suitable for 5-6 people if you have a group project. I had the Oatmeal Bowl w/ oat milk. Everything tasted great and had a nice sweetness to it but I did notice that it wasn't hot. The oat milk was steamed. That somewhat warmed up the cold apples in the middle. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was served lukewarm on purpose. Service was ok. They didn't have any coffee cups available so I was given a paper cup for our sit down brunch. Overall vibe of the place is pretty laidback and casual. Very inviting and warm. read more

Coffee is good. I ordered a Bellden condensed latte. The food is so expensive and overpriced. I ordered toast + egg for 20$. It took 30 minutes to bring out our food. My sister's food was innocent.. she order the salmon toast with avocado and eggs and they brought it out without the avacado and egg. Not a fan. read more

Wanted to love this place but unfortunately the service is a bit slow. Not that many people when I was there but the server was working by herself and was the one making the drinks and heating up the food. Although there was 2 other people in the back I would assume could help her if there was just a few people out. Took about 15 mins from order to getting our two drinks. I know they have Coava coffee from Portland but was a bit disappointed in the coffee. I had a flat white and an iced pumpkin spice latte with homemade pumpkin spice puree and almond milk. Seemed a bit thick for coffee but after the ice melted it was not as thick anymore. Inside is nicely decorated to hang out, read a book or do some work. read more

Stopped in for an event and bought an extra bagel sandwich. Yum! The bagel was the right kind of chewy, not overcooked. Sausage and egg were done just right. More of a 3.5 star. The food was good, my spouse had the PNW. The bread had a hard crust (which is my favorite bread type but not my wife's) and had excellent taste. We'll probably try to recreate it on a baguette slice as an appetizer, but they should offer different bread options. I had the Mr. Brioche and it was tasty as well, better than Starbucks impossible sausage sandwich, but a little pricier. The service was also a little slow but as a retiree, where do I have to be? My wife had a tea latte that she loved but couldn't finish due to the fruit fly that dive bombed it. I can see the appeal for young people, maybe I'm too old? read more

Super cozy ambiance, but limited seating. We got lucky and found a table for two. Ordered the avocado toast and the Pitaya Bowl. Both were really good; however, it took so long to place the order and get the food (about 45 minutes), we had to get them to go and eat them in the car. There was one register and the line was out the door -- not sure if they were purposely slowing the ordering process down to let the rest of the staff catch up or if this was normal. Just give yourself a lot of time if you plan to go. read more

I love the vibe and food at Bellden Cafe. They also donate 25% of their sales on select drinks to charity which I greatly appreciate. I ordered the lavender honey latter with cashew milk and it was delicious. I believe some of their syrups and non-dairy milk are homemade. Their unique tea selection is also delightful! The Wonder Tea has Yerba mate which is a healthier version of caffeine. I also ordered a pitaya bowl for lunch and it was filling and sweet. Along with the bananas, strawberries, and melon, there were sweet granola chunks and coconut chips. I was not expecting a full stomach after a single fruit bowl, but I was because their portions were quite generous! read more

It is pure, no sugar added. We add honey usually, but you can request to not add it. And yes! We got almond milk :)
