As they strip down their menu, I'll have to remove this shop from my favorites. No more bagel dogs of any kind, which is my number one reason for coming, several bagel flavors leaving, and not even the courtesy of taking down the menu or covering those options during their transition. Extremely disappointed. I posted the above earlier at 3-stars, but I was too hasty posting before getting our food, expecting that even though the menu changed, the quality wouldn't. Sadly the bagel sandwiches aren't nearly stuffed to what they used to be and even the orange juice had extra pulp. My biggest complaint is still that there were no indicators in the store until we were trying to order. We loved our sandwiches! We had the sausage, egg and cheese and the Bernie Boodnick. They are middle sized sandwiches, and would be nice to have a side with for lunch. All the ingredients used felt like they were good quality. We ordered quickly and got our food quickly. The workers were friendly. There is a small eating area that is pleasant to sit at. It was pretty busy but didn't get very loud. I also bought a package of day old bagels for 50%, which ended up being $8. I had one toasted the next day and it was still very good. I thought that was a really good deal. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant. You have to walk down either a few stairs or a ramp to get to the front door. read more

Do not eat bagels here if you have TMD/TMJ or an issue with jaws. Bagels are supposed to have a balance of chewiness and tenderness. I know that much! But this is the chewiest bagel I have ever had. I have been going to Blazing bagels (not this location, but in general) for a decade. I think in the past few years, the bagel quality has noticeably changed. It's gotten way more chewier -- to the point that it hurts my mouth. I have tried going in the mornings, afternoons and different times of the day to see if I have gotten a bad batch. Nope. Doesn't make a difference. They were all really hard to chew! My friends who have been here say the same. My bagel-obsessed children say it too. At this point I really don't know if they are serving fresh bagels. The schmear is delicious and fresh, but they use an INSANE quantity in the bagel. Their bagel selection is also extremely plentiful with great flavors. This is an awesome place to grab breakfast or lunch. I recently came here and got a "Big Fanny" - basically, just a ton of excellent pastrami on some soft rye bread. I didn't know if they'd ask what toppings I wanted on it or whatever -- but turns out, it's just pastrami and bread.... and making it "big" just adds more meat. Good stuff. I got there around 11:30AM during the week, so it was dead inside with no line. My friend and I ordered and maybe 3-4 mins later, the order was done, and they called my name. Inside, there are a few high tables, a couple low comfy seat tables, and a couple 4-person tables at an average height. We ate for like 15-20 mins and took off. It was clean, not too loud, etc... a pretty nice place to grab lunch. Parking was super easy (considering the area), the H-Mart/(ex Toys R Us) parking lot is pretty big and had plenty of space when we got there. Came here on a whim just walking by. Looked like plenty of parking in the parking center in case you're driving up I saw the sign that said best bagels and that got me. The line validates that because it'll keep growing til you're bunched up against the wall Cashier was definitely nice telling me all the most popular bagels for a tourist and i only got the basic blueberry which was good im sure the craft sandwiches and bagel are much better The only thing that was strange to me was going back up to the front to ask it to be toasted. I don't want a cold bagel in 44 degree weather lol. We went at 11am on a Sat and it was packed with a line out the door and a lobby full of people waiting for their order. So much for a quick breakfast. The entire process from ordering to getting our food took about 30 min. So something to keep in mind at this time on a weekend since it is normal Then when we ate our bagel sandwiches (bagel with egg and ham), we were reminded how average they were and really not worth how expensive they have gotten now...and for how much it takes to fill us up, we could have gotten a super delicious sit-down breakfast. Finally found some free time to stop by for a bagel before they closed at 3pm. The store is pretty cozy, with some indoor and outdoor seating. Behind the counter you can see the baskets of all their bagel options, which made it easier to pick. It was pretty empty on a weekend afternoon, so the service was quick. The only way to get whole pieces of lox--other than on a craft sandwich--is to purchase a 3 oz package for $18. For reference, we were able to find a 4oz package for $6.50 at the nearby Safeway. Multigrain Everything + Berry Schmear: The berry schmear was lovely, just the right amount of sweet. They are quite generous with the cream cheese. I'm kind of disappointed with the bagel itself. The everything seasoning is great, but the bagel is chewier and tougher than what I'm used to back in NY. What a good bagel generally taste like. I start with plain. Plain should be delicious. Theirs is boring. The mouth feel is not good. However, if you have an RC car with a flat tire, they're just chewy enough to be able to probably hold up for a good100 to 150 miles, without any rain. I ordered a ham and egg sandwich. The center of my egg, and my ham were cold. They also weren't very substantial for the price. The coffee? In Seattle? That's enough to get the man from the Columbian coffee crimes unit to come visit you for violations of the taste rights of beans. It was a most uncoffeelike odor. read more

These guys should change their name to "Day Old Pretzel Breads". Every bagel they make tastes like it is made out of pretzel bread. I'm no bagel connoisseur but I don't think centuries of bagel makers used pretzel bread. It makes every bagel taste like a pretzel, which is not what I thought I was buying. The two bagels I bought were supposed to be fresh (i.e. not from the 'day old' bin) but I needed to microwave them just to be able to slice them in half because they were so hard. I bought them in the late morning, but yet they should still be pliable if they were baked that morning. Lastly, Blazing Bagels doesn't take cash. Really? A bagel store? You mean where each bagel is only, like, a couple of bucks? This is akin to telling your customers "Our profit is more important than your satisfaction". Absolutely pathetic. In the late 90s, I used to get Blazing Bagels to cater my offices once a week and they were awesome. No longer.
