We have always loved the Pogacha in Issaquah but now they're closed along with their Bellevue locations so we were so excited to see they opened on Mercer Island! We went in during their first Sunday brunch & had a great experience! The atmosphere was really nice as they totally remodeled a space that was a BBQ restaurant with a large patio that will be great when the weather gets nicer. Mario was our server & took excellent care of us. He even let us order fish & chips that weren't available for 3 more hours & what an incredible choice that was! Nice thick juicy pieces of fish with a light crispy panko breading- yum! The thick cut fries were delicious as well & topped off with pineapple & grapes- beautiful presentation & all of it was amazing! We also ordered the Pogacha burger that's the perfect blend of lamb & beef & we added duck bacon on top of the cheese- so delicious! The bun was unique as it was a nice & thin signature "Pogacha" bread that was so perfect for the burger. All four of us absolutely loved our meals! We can't wait to go back for their dinner menu- I have always loved their homemade portobello mushroom ravioli & dobar chicken- Pagocha has never disappointed us & this Mercer Island location is fantastic! read more

Overall, Café Pogacha is quite average. It is within walking distance to our place, and we are attempting to try a new coffee shop (within walking distance from us) every week or so. I ordered my usual hot drink: almond milk latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup and my boyfriend ordered a hot caramel latte with regular milk. Our coffees were pretty good, but not at all exceptional. The location itself is not very ideal and, to be honest, it does not give me the proper coffee shop ~vibes~ I would want. I can't really see myself ever wanting to dine in, as it is not super cozy or well decorated. It honestly reminds me of a convenience store or mini gas station. The girls working were friendly and our coffees were ready within 2 minutes. There was nothing bad about our experience, I just can't see myself choosing to come here over the other places in the area. read more

Café Pogacha is a casual restaurant located in the lobby of the Puget Sound Energy Building in downtown Bellevue. Café Pogacha caters to the worker crowd as it is open on weekdays for breakfast and lunch. Café Pogacha seems to serve food that is a cut above other similar establishments in downtown. The cafe offers standard breakfast fare including pastries as well, but also breakfast sandwiches. I have had their breakfast pastries as my old workplace used to order catered pastries often from Café Pogacha. Their pastries are great. I especially like their muffins and bagels. Their lunch offerings usually consists of stews, soups, salads and sandwiches. Their pizzas are awesome and distinct from what you would find at a regular pizza joint. The pizzas are made with Croatian flatbread which is slightly different from a pita that is topped off with your selected toppings. In particular, I like to order takeout orders of the double artichoke, feta, red onion & garlic oil pizza or the pepperoni & gargonzola pizza (both $5.45). They make it when you order it so allow about 5-10 minutes waiting time for it to come through. I find the pizza preferable here to CPK as it is quicker, better and cheaper. The soups are also a good bet. They offer two soups, with one option being vegetarian. Soup also comes with a piece of flatbread. Café Pogacha has a dine-in area, as well as some tables outside its space and outside the building for dining. There is also a waterfall in the adjacent yard outside that makes for a plesant dining experience. All told, Café Pogacha is a great option when eating in downtown Bellevue. There are many similar choices out there, but I found Café Pogacha to be a cut above the rest. read more

Located in the PSE Building in Bellevue, Cafe Pogacha is nothing fancy. I was disappointed with the overall ambiance and feeling of being welcomed at the location. If you order a coffee drink, the area next to the espresso machine where you stand to pick it up (the hand off area) is cluttered with a register/ order taking system that is in the direction as if you were the employee. This creates an environment that screams you are not welcome to stand here to wait for your drink, this is an employee only area, yet this is the only logical place to stand and wait. If you want ice in your drink, the cashier/ barista actually has to walk across the store to the Coca Cola machine to get ice. The drink itself had a decent coffee flavor; however, the carmel sauce used had a bit of a gritty texture to it. Not sure if this was part of the recipe or if it may have been old. Save yourself the hassle and walk to the Expedia building to Cafe Lardo. read more

I think that for quick, delicious Italian and Italian-ish lunch offerings, this is your best bet in Bellevue. I think most people go here for the convenience. Service and food quality use to be good, now food is tasteless, overprice and not of good quality. Getting new coffee beans and Machine was a good idea however, training their staff to make good coffee is equally important. Looking at how they operate the facility does raise hygiene questions. Food scraps on the floor, same cloth used to wipe coffee spills is used to wipe the tables. Has the health department seeing this yet ? It's time for a change pogacha, you are in downtown Bellevue and providing average service is unacceptable. read more

Cafe Pogacha has pretty decent soups sometimes. My favorite is the tomato basil and the club sandwiches are pretty good too. BUT, it is ridiculously overpriced. Well, I guess that's a given being located in downtown Bellevue and everything. I've had their breakfast a few times before. I ordered the ham & cheese croissant and I swear, the few times that I asked to have it warmed up... I've had to remind them that my croissant was still in the oven. I do not like waiting... it makes me feel awkward. The place is pretty convenient since I work in the other PSE building and it's only a few steps away... I only come here if I am uber lazy and craving their tomato basil coup... but a cup of soup and a half sandwich for $8 is too pricey for my liking. Sigh. read more

Came here on a lunch break. This place serves breakfast and lunch at a convenient location in Downtown Bellevue. The staff is friendly, and food comes out QUICKLY! I'm unsure of it's just because I ordered a salad or if it's because all food comes out quickly, but I can't imagine it takes forever. Everything on the menu is pretty easy to put together. My chicken caesar salad while good, wasn't the best ever. A bit bland. I added some salt and pepper to it and asked for lemon. The portion was plentiful. It took forever to make a dent in it. With so many places to choose from, when I'm looking for more of a "homemade" meal, I like to come to Cafe Pogacha. The space is huge! Lots of beautiful natural light. I work a block away from the PSE building, and didn't know that this cafe was located here, thanks to all the construction that has been happening on the area surrounding the building (and the fact that I generally don't go cruising down NE 4th unless I am in my car). The cafe is located in the corner of the front lobby. There is seating in the cafe area as well as on the lobby, along the glass walk way. The food is decent - and cheap (especially considering the area it is located). We went for lunch, and I had the "double" order of BBQ Chicken pizza (code name for two pizzas instead of just one) and a soda pop for $7. This was a lot healthier than McDonald's (the original first choice) and it was fast. We sat down and received our meals within 5 minutes. The service was not fantastic. The girl who took my oder looked like she had a rough night before, and wasn't in much of a mood to deal with the lunch rush. Bear in mind, it was well past 12:30 at that point, so the bulk of the "rush" was gone by the time we got there. She was forgetful and snapped a little at me (Sorry, I've never been here - it takes me a few minutes to ask questions about the menu and then order.). Cheap and quick. It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but considering fast food isn't any cheaper and this is a "sit down" type of establishment, I would definitely revisit. read more

This place is not without its faults. We've been here a few times and they always seem to make a mistake on our order. Good luck finding restrooms closeby. Parking is expensive and they don't validate. But the food is legit. Fresh, healthy ingredients. Reasonably priced. Clean restaurant. The reason for 4 stars (not 3) is that they are always amazing with my kids. There is no kids menu but my children enjoy the regular dishes. I went to the Cafe Pogacha for the first time last Friday, with a friend who is lucky enough to work across the street at Expedia. I admit, I was a bit skeptical when he suggested meeting at a little cafe in the building of Puget Sound Energy, but my skepticism was sorely misplaced. From the great service, broad menu offerings, and reasonable lunch prices, Cafe Pogacha hits every nail on the head. From almost the moment, I arrived, I kept wishing we had something like this near the University of Washington. I work at the UW and we have very few options for lunch. We definitely don't have a place for a quick, thoughtful, and flavorful lunch where you can get a salad, sandwich, or pasta dish that you feel good about. With most new eatery spots catering to professionals are opening in South Lake Union, we are caught between full service restaurants and eateries catering to UW's undergrad population. I think the folks who are not giving it more stars are comparing it to all restaurants ever, which I am not. I'm comparing it to other spots I would frequent for lunch and this spot seems to hold up. One of my favorite places for breakfast! I work closeby to this location and I absolutely LOVE their AM Pogacha (breakfast sandwich) with bacon. It always hits the spot but I do order their daily special of some kind of scramble every once in a while. The staff are always helpful and friendly. As for lunch, I love going and getting one of their baked potatoes! I think they do the simple things so well! I once ordered a bowl of soup to go with my basic baked potato but it was way too much food! I like the option of sitting in or just ordering out for the same experience really. You definitely feel like you are eating at a place that is a bit higher quality with the convenience of a "normal" deli. Conveniently located so I just wish it wasn't so annoying to know you've ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it takes 20 minutes to put together. I hate that their bread is so good and, if you want a baked potato, it's probably your only choice because I will likely be back at some point. Food is solid. My favorite thing to get is the roasted vegetable sandwich lunch. Their bread really is good, and I've also had the pizza before. Included with the sandwich, for lunch it comes with a tiny bit of fruit and a little salad (i think you can choose among 3 things). The price is just alright for lunch. For the similar price of food at other lunch places nearby, I'll usually have leftovers, enough for another meal. The amount of food they serve usually doesn't leave me with leftovers here. Breakfast sandwich was fine, but not exceptional. They do not validate for parking in the garage in the building.
