Overall, Café Pogacha is quite average. It is within walking distance to our place, and we are attempting to try a new coffee shop (within walking distance from us) every week or so. I ordered my usual hot drink: almond milk latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup and my boyfriend ordered a hot caramel latte with regular milk. Our coffees were pretty good, but not at all exceptional. The location itself is not very ideal and, to be honest, it does not give me the proper coffee shop ~vibes~ I would want. I can't really see myself ever wanting to dine in, as it is not super cozy or well decorated. It honestly reminds me of a convenience store or mini gas station. The girls working were friendly and our coffees were ready within 2 minutes. There was nothing bad about our experience, I just can't see myself choosing to come here over the other places in the area.

Located in the PSE (Puget Sound Energy) building, this is a quick lunch cafe that is a cut about the rest. It even has a touch of a sit-down restaurant, as the staff will bring your meal to your table if you're eating in. And if you're in a hurry, this is like restaurant food at cafe speeds. I think that for quick, delicious Italian and Italian-ish lunch offerings, this is your best bet in Bellevue. They have a set of set menu choices, as well as daily specials posted on the blackboard by the cashier. Today I got the chicken pesto fettuccine with sun dried tomatoes. Yum!

Love the breakfast. Really quality food with good variety of options. Also, not expensive in price at all. However, few things like bagels are too expensive.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

The second time I came I got to try strawberry, the smoked salmon one, and the fried shrimp one. I love the taste of white bread and cream! It reminds me of my childhood, when I use to make ice cream sandwiches with white bread. The sweet flavors are so delicious and nostalgic, whereas the savory flavors are so delicious and makes a perfect morning snack. The smoked salmon reminds me of a lox bagel but in a sandwich form. The one that I like the most was the pork cutlets, even if it was cold it was good. The savory options were not too sweet which I liked. Not a huge fan on the salmon tho. The only issue I had was definitely the portion, it was small. It seems big in the photo and display but the one you get it small. When u open the sandwich the filling and bread ratio is kinda small, which was disappointing because it's kinda pricey. A nice place to try a lot of flavors, definitely recommend.

The bagels were delicious and toasted perfectly. It came with whipped butter and raspberry jam on the side. The pastrami omelet was very large and came with a generous serving of potatoes. ALso tried the pastrami and corned beef breakfast bagel, which was packed with almost like an omelet tucked inside a bagel. Also got a side of hand made chicken sausage which was okay. Tasted healthy. The one disappointment was the vanilla latte. It tasted more like it came from an automated coffee machine than a traditional espresso machine and lacked the flavor and quality I was expecting. Most things are self-serve here, including finding your own seating, grabbing silverware, getting water, and pouring drip coffee. As we were leaving, a live musician was getting set up to play, Which added a really welcoming atmosphere. The inside is nicely decorated and family friendly, with lots of children's books around to help keep little ones entertained. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the portions are large. We ordered both the #7 Omelette: Nova Scotia Lox and the #2 Omelette: The Supreme Omelette. Of course both were such generous portions that we had leftovers. We also got the Reuben. The sandwich was so big it had to be deconstructed and eaten with a fork and knife.
