Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (Gluten free alteration available)
    Lauren V.

Came here on a Saturday morning because I saw they had great gluten-free offerings and understood the basics of how to cater to allergies per reviews. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. The style and layout of the central dining area made the atmosphere very easy-going and was easy on the eyes. Our food was phenomenal!! I got the hot honey chicken sandwich with a potato bun, it was a sizable piece of chicken perfectly fried with delicious sauce and crispy lettuce. My husband got the breakfast hash and added sausage. He was a HUGE fan of the coveted 'Mami' sauce. I also got an oj mimosa with our brunch, which hit the spot. We both really enjoyed our meals, and as an added benefit, it's all made with good clean ingredients so you feel good after eating as well. This is definitely our new go to brunch place whenever we're in the area.

It was really busy when we came in (Coachella festival friday) but we were lucky enough to get a table at the bar! We are so glad we stayed because the people, the food, the drinks, were ALL amazing! Lots of vegetarian options, I went with the big breakfast and passed the meat to a meat eater friend. The eggs, toast, and potatoes 10/10. The burrito was amazing too. The hotsauce (homemade) is a star. Thank you so much and we home to come back again.

The food was excellent and the right portions. I ordered the Big Breakfast and it was good. They offer fruit spread and it was legit. The coffee was good excellent. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the staff is excellent that I had no hurry to rush and leave. We were enjoying our coffee and enjoying life. Highly recommend when you want to eat and relax. Life is truly Beautiful!

After eating here we had a beautiful day! Found this gem on Yelp and had to stop on our last day in town. Heather greeted us and she was accommodating and we were sat right away. The inside had minimalistic designs but in the best way. It was so cute inside! Heather was our server and she was so sweet and friendly! We loved our breakfast and the coffees we had were so delicious! The food was packed with flavor and we enjoyed every bite. I would recommend the hash browns they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If we are in the area again, definitely will be on our to do list!

Elizabeth and Brian were very friendly! The food was very good, nice and hot which is important to me. The place was cute with a sort of old school vibe. Nice music playing too.

one of the best parts of exploring new places is discovering all of the new small businesses to support We happened upon a magical place on our way to the lake yesterday. Just the day before, my son said, "Mommy, I'm going to invent gluten free chicken nuggets one day!" Then @itsabeautifulday.love entered the chat with THE CUTEST vibes, amazing service AND gluten free fried chicken and waffles with a heavenly pecan and maple emulsion. And yes, if that wasn't enough, my mermaid matcha was blue and topped with edible glitter! So, like, I don't know what your Sunday brunch plans are, buttttt they should definitely be there!

    Ricotta Toast

Had The Big Breakfast, Ricotta Toast, Chicken Salad Sandwich, kids pancake/waffles and sides of bacon. Let me just say EVERYTHING was delicious! Eggs were seasoned perfectly, bacon was crispy and soft in all the right places, the jam on the ricotta toast was the perfect amount of sweetness mixed with the ricotta, and honestly everything was sooooo good. We will be coming back again! Our server was so attentive and nice too

We stopped off for breakfast on the way back from Palm Springs to LA. People worries me about the talk of the wait. It didn't take that long. The food was good. Not great. We got the burrito and the sandwich. The potatoes however were amazing.

I sat outside on the cozy nook by the front door. The umbrellas give you privacy from the parking lot. The inside was super cute too, but I was too cold with a/c going. I enjoyed a turmeric latte (they only offer oat milk which isn't my fav) but it was yummy. I also had gluten free huckleberry pancakes with ricotta. Which were so good! I enjoyed a side of bacon too! I hope to come back again while I'm visiting! My server was great and attentive!

We had a wonderful time at beautiful day restaurant in La Quinta. They are definitely a farm fresh restaurant. The fresh eggs were absolutely phenomenal as was the waffles and the breakfast burritos. The service at beautiful day is very personal and helpful. I highly recommend beautiful day for breakfast if you're anywhere near La Quinta. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Bodega Sandwich

This place looked really cute and we were excited to try out. Sad to say we were a bit disappointed. The wait time was long, which is not a problem and is expected, but we ordered two sandwiches that took over half an hour to arrive, which seemed excessive. The music was good, the ambiance itself was ok, nothing too special. For the food, the hotcakes were pretty good. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with an amazing blueberry jam. However, the breakfast sandwich was very average. It didn't taste like much, the bun was essentially grocery store hamburger buns... very disappointing. The coffee was alright. Overall this place unfortunately did not live up to our expectations.

FACILITY: Looks like a diner, is a diner, and very nice and clean. MENU: Many selections, breakfast options may be overwhelming but you'll definitely find something you want. Lunch offers very good but standard options. FOOD PREP: Always, very well done for that Louise's Pantry is, they don't fake anything here. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent for this style of food. It is a great experience. WAITSTAFF: We've been here many times, and never have we run across anyone not upbeat, polite, and happy to see a customer. OVERALL VALUE: A bit on the expensive side but considering the amount of food they bring you, it is a fair deal. TIP: Unless you are Mr. Creosote (bonus points if you know that one) for $2.00 you can get a split plate and still have a huge portion. We usually go this way respecting the seats we are taking up.

The eggs needed seasoning, and the country potatoes were dry and lacked flavor, with only a couple of small pieces of onion and red pepper mixed in. My husband had the hash browns instead and felt his breakfast was just as bland. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed, but we were seated next to a broom, dustpan, and the bus cart for dirty dishes, which wasn't the best first impression. The restaurant also feels a bit dated. A few simple updates, like replacing the dusty artificial flowers and keeping cleaning supplies out of sight, would make a big difference. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but with so many great breakfast options in the area, we probably wouldn't return.

Since the first time we have visited this place a few times and have even invited our family over to try it out. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order inside and they give you this number where you take to your table and they will bring the food out to you. There is also napkins, and water inside for you to grab for yourself. As for the food, I am someone that loves trying different things in hopes I find something I really like, so far I have really enjoyed their cheese danish and butter croissant. I have yet to find my favorite dish from here as I was not a big fan of the chicken and waffles as the oil or sauce from the chicken spread under my waffles & sort of had this weird after taste that I didn't enjoy much. The breakfast burrito was huge and just okay I think if I would customize it a bit I would love it more and the chicken pesto sandwich so far has been something that I enjoyed a bit. Just personal experience as I've seen so many other really love those items. When I find my favorite meals I will come back and update. I do like to note that my boyfriend on the other hand has stayed loyal to their BLT + egg sandwich since our first visit and recommends me to try it so maybe that will be next on my list when I visit again. Their matcha is also okay, the notes are leaning vegetal and I just prefer a more nutty savory matcha. The strawberry syrup they add is pretty good. Wouldn't get it again though.

Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.

I think my expectations for this spot were a bit high as the reviews on here for the most part are glowing reviews and when I found some foodie influencers reviewing this spot on social media, they really hyped up the sandwiches. So much so it finally encouraged me to give this spot a try. I came during Christmas week which I do understand is a crazy week, especially for a spot like this as they seemed to have a lot of breads and desserts flying off of the shelves. So maybe their attention to detail was a little off? I came in to grab a sandwich for myself and my family. Went with three different varieties. I got the prime cut and then ordered the Tuscany and the my cousin Vinnie. My family said their Italian style sandwiches were just so so. I kind of felt the same way about my prime cut but I did like mine a little more than they liked theirs. Initially when I came in I really wanted to try their tuna sandwich with cheese jalapeño bread as this was one of the sandwiches highly reviewed but when I asked the gal about the freshness of the tuna, she let me know they make it every other day. I really appreciated her honesty, which is another reason I'm playing the 4 stars. Some places just BS you or tell you what you want to hear but I'm glad she was truthful to say, every other day. It's not that this is "bad" but with tuna I get weird and only could order it if it was fresh that day. So I skipped. Went with the prime cut which was a roast beef type of sandwich. The prime cut sandwich itself was an overall 3/5. My biggest critique was that the bread tasted super dry, almost stale? Maybe that's the style of that darker bread...I've never ordered it before but it wasn't for me and just made the sandwich a bit too dry, even after getting extra sauce. Despite the bread issue, I loved the rare roast beef and the zucchini was a lovely touch in the sandwich. Unique and I really liked that! Horseradish cream was tasty too, on the mild side but good. Overall the bread just didn't seal the deal for me. I'd come back here but not as a first choice sandwich option. I will say the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The store was clean and good signage for the sandwiches. Seemed like a popular place as lots of people in and out. A cute little perk is that the sandwiches come with a small side of potato salad and a pickle. Love that. The potato salad was actually delicious, 5/5. So random I know, but I loved it and I'd pay for a side of that for sure.
