Breakfast Croissant Sandwich with potatoes
Brenda M.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious my breakfast croissant was amazing it had ham and bacon which is great because it had two choices of protein! The potatoes were flavorful crispy but soft on the inside just how I like them. I also really like the big portions for a good price. My husband loved his Benedict's. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They really enjoyed saying hello to our baby. Nice and peaceful. What I also thought was nice is how they're also pet friendly. Big yes from my family will definitely stop by again and try other items from their menu.

Greek Salad

Poor excuse for a Greek salad costing $20 (added chicken) so dry I couldn't even eat it. Couple of olives and 2 cucumber slices. Sweet vinaigrette dressing does not pair well with a Greek salad

Beignet breakfast and a side of bacon.

I've been trying to make it here for a beignet breakfast for over a year, and I finally did...and I was not disappointed! I came on a Sunday morning. It was cold out, but I still requested to sit outside. They were short a server and still graciously accommodated my request, which I truly appreciated. I ordered the beignets, a side of bacon, and orange juice. The beignets came in a set of four -- crisp on the outside and soft, pillowy yumminess on the inside. I skipped the syrup because honestly, they didn't need it. Anything extra would've taken away from how good they already were. And the bacon? Crispy to perfection. With tip, it came out to $38.02. I can't speak to the full menu since I only tried the beignets and bacon, but based on that alone, I would absolutely recommend this place. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Even the patrons were lovely...smiling and wishing me a good morning as they passed my table. It's quiet on Sunday mornings, which makes it perfect if you're dining alone with a good book. I'll definitely be back.

Bear claw!

Food and pastries was very disappointing. Bear Claw was very dry. Cappuccino was rancid. (California Omelette) Egg and avocado bacon was good hash brown was ok. Ambiance was good(Frank Sinatra in the background is always nice. This place was better in 2017. Service was good worker was not very talkative. (Ruff around the edges)

I previously gave this place a 5-star review. I retract it now, give it just 2 stars (1 seems harsh), and will never return after patronizing the bakery for years. The quality of bread for toast and sandwiches has declined. The pastry case is usually nearly empty. Service is slow. We ate there twice at night when it becomes Norma's, too. First time was quite good but the second tie was awful. There were 3 of us and all our plates were undercooked. I'm talking about one of us had a pizza with RAW dough. No apology from the server. The ambiance is NOT Italian and on the first night we went in, they were playing Led Zeppelin. It doesn't have to actually be Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra, but Led? Seriously? I'm sorry, LQ Bakingand Norma's, but you lost longtime customers and I predict your failure within the next few years.

Short stack of pancakes, cut up for our son

This is our third summer returning to this bakery for breakfast, and it continues to be one of our favorite stops in La Quinta. We were pleasantly surprised to see the recent remodel as it looks clean, fresh, and very inviting. As always, the service was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent across the board, but the highlight was definitely the biscuits and gravy. It may have been the best I've ever had! The biscuit itself was absolutely delicious, which isn't surprising considering it's a bakery. It tasted homemade and was the perfect foundation for the rich, flavorful gravy. We're already looking forward to coming back again next summer. Highly recommend!

Cheese onion bell peppers and avocado omelette

Very nice clean quaint restaurant. Love the mellow music playing in the background. Went for breakfast and all 3 of us thought our choices were the best! Homemade rolls were warm and tasted like they just came out of the oven!!!

Food was great here if you're willing to wait. We sat outside which was nice if the weather is good. The quiche Lorraine was excellent. Quite a long wait for the food but worth it if you're patient and willing to wait.

Great outdoor seating area, food was okay, their bread and jam are delicious but there wasn't anything special about the award winning frittata. Solid brunch spot in the desert

Chai Tea Latte and snickerdoodle

I ordered a Chai Tea Latte and a giant snickerdoodle! Around $11, so good!! Beautiful atmosphere inside and welcoming staff !

Beignets

I came here based off of a tiktok review raving about the beignets. First tiktok review to let me down! I don't know if they cooked them too long but they were not light, fluffy, or have a crispy outside. They were dense and doughy throughout, and most of the strawberries were going bad. But because they had my favorite breakfast item ever on the menu (monte cristo sandwhich) it saved the day. It definitely wasn't the best one i've ever had or even close to it but it's hard to mess up that sandwich. I wish the jam was more fresh as it tasted like packaged smuckers jam. The sandwich should have been cooked longer, it was missing that classic crunch. I probably won't be back but I still enjoyed my food and service was great! The ambiance wasn't very there, but the people working there were still great.

Caesar Salad with Anchovies

Great dishes and service! Lovely local spot with ample parking in the parking lot. Seating outside on the patio as well as inside. Great bakery items as well.

Two croissant breakfast sandwiches and potatoes.

It's always good - just crowded when it's too hot to sit outside! But it's my go to when I'm feeling Parisian!

I ordered Eggs Benedict, which the menu listed with a salad, and saw that adding potatoes cost an extra $2. Nowhere did the menu clearly state that this was an upgrade that would replace the salad. I specifically told the cashier I wanted both the salad and potatoes, but nobody explained otherwise. When my order arrived without the salad, I asked about it. Instead of politely acknowledging the misunderstanding and resolving the issue, the employee argued with me and my husband for several minutes. About 10 minutes later, she finally brought the salad to the table and said, "Here's your salad, since you wanted it so badly." This attitude was completely unprofessional. We paid around $60 for breakfast, expecting a pleasant experience. Instead, poor communication and unnecessary arguing ruined our morning. A simple apology and a little courtesy would have resolved everything. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't the salad itself, but the way we were treated. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected much better customer service. I left very dissatisfied and would hesitate to return.

Just off the main highway 111, a cute area where it's worth checking out. It's a corner restaurant so it's nice for people watching. We had parked nearby when I first seen it and remember seeing how busy it looked so it was on the list of places to check out in Palm Desert. Mother's Day, we were out and about trying to find a place for a late brunch and ended up walking around. Of course I remembered the place and decided it's now or never since we were here. The restaurant as it's on a corner lot had a really nice open patio which what caught our eyes the first time. I honestly thought that was the only part of the restaurant but they did have some seating inside with the tufted bar booth as well as the side back patio. That part didn't seemed to be utilized. We checked in with the hostess which we did get seated pretty fast. They were cleaning up one of the tables on the patio looking out to the street. It was busy but not too crazy as it was towards the end. Found out they close at 3 in preparation for dinner. Menu wise for brunch, fairly decent. Nothing major like WoW. Started off with some cold beer which bread and butter was also brought out. Meal, we just went with a salad as it was hot out and an easy eat. The Niçoise salad with tuna. It was canned tuna so I substituted for the seared ahi for an additional fee. Also the curry chicken salad. Niçoise salad was good, green beans with diced potatoes, hard boil eggs, olives, tomatoes, onions and anchovies and the added seared ahi tuna. It was good but nothing major with the romaine lettuce. Tuna was tasty. The curry chicken salad was a scoop accompanied by slices of guava on top a portion of shredded lettuce. To me it could be more of a snack as the portion was pretty small but great for a light meal. Flavors were tasty and it was nice. Overall lunch was good. The food was good and service was nice. They were closing in 45 minutes when we arrived so we thought we were going to be rushed but it was fine. Food didn't take long to come out. The place is nice with the patio seating that open and looks out to the street. There's loads of mister along the top that helps with cooling down as well as the curtains that come down. A cute little French restaurant in the desert. Maybe dinner is needed next time.

Took a bit for our order to arrive but no worries here. So fun to people watch and enjoy the fresh desert air from our table. I ordered the bowl of French onion soup and it was amazing. Nice crust, abundant cheese, onions wonderfully caramelized perfectly sized toast, I couldn't even finish this but to be fair, I did consume 3 pieces of that wonderful bread. Hubs had the Brie burger. He cut off a chunk for me to try and I would def order this in the future. Delicious! Prices were reasonable, ambience comforting, and our food was very good.
