French baguette with butter and jam
Alex P.

L'attalier is a gem of a spot that hasn't disappointed since I started coming when I was visiting. The toasted baguette is my favorite thing! The food is always beautifully plated and served in a traditional French fashion. I love coming here and make it a point to recommend it to people who I know are passing through.

I'm surprised I haven't written a review for L'Atelier cos I've been here for brunch every time I'm in Palm Springs. The place is small and parking isn't that easy (especially on weekends), so definitely come early. They also sell out of pastries and sweets/desserts pretty quickly, so early is key if you want the full selection. My faves: the ham or salmon croissant, the fruit tarts, and the quiche. Price wise it's similar to LA. Owner & staff were friendly but food did take a while to arrive as it was a full house.

This is a great little French restaurant. It's very busy in the morning before the heat so get there early. There is limited space inside but there is outdoor space too. The quiche is very popular - almost every table orders it. It's delicious- thick but soft and very fluffy. The crepes are delicious and authentic. The pastries are delicious - especially the raspberry beignets. What I like about this place are the owners who are very personal- they care about their customers and often come and speak with their patrons to make sure everything is to their satisfaction - you can tell people that come often come back and know the owners. This feels like an authentic French bistro. Highly recommend the restaurant. Nice family owned French restaurant not to be missed when in Palm Springs.

Good food. Staff was so friendly and sweet. Ate breakfast there and it was good. It wasn't memorable but it was fine. The decor is adorable and the place is very quaint. My son had a sandwich and unfortunately the bread was hard.

L'Atelier Café serves some of the best French food in Palm Springs--the French Onion Soup is world-class and the Eggs Benedict was a hit! The service wasn't quite as impressive as the meal itself, feeling a bit detached, but the flavors coming out of the kitchen more than made up for it. A great 2025 stop for a delicious, high-quality brunch.

TL:DR don't listen to Simon A., this place is delicious, and the staff are so friendly! Highly recommend We came here for brunch, and I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious and everything was so reasonably priced. We were a party of 4. All of us ordered a drink and a main dish (2 of us having an extra side) and we paid roughly $80. The pain au chocolat was delicious and was definitely baked that morning. I also ordered the prosciutto panini and it was served with a side salad. It was absolutely delicious. I also had it with a hot chocolate and that was so yummy! The owners were working as the wait staff and it was so endearing that they came over to ask if everything turned out well, and it absolutely was.

Delicious, authentic food from start to finish, and they accommodated our big party quickly. Highly recommend the blueberry tart and the ham crepe. Get ready for an upbeat environment, almost as if you're in Leon!

Amazing local find! Very nice café with outdoor seating in the plaza. Their quiches and pastries are homemade. To die for! Classic French Cafe menu. We had friendly and attentive service by Steve and we enjoyed talking with the owner Jose. We enjoyed an incredible Blueberry Almond Tarte. Will be visiting this gem again soon.

Their Croque Madame is no doubt the best breakfast in PS, Splendid Cappuccino & the Best Carmel (house made) Steamer ever!

Cafe latte- perfection!

Back again at this magnificent restaurant. Everything is so delicious and I can't say enough about the baguettes. The service is fantastic, the coffee is perfect. Can't wait to go back. You have to go early unless you want to wait. It's a small space and sidewalk tables are quaint. The platter is the Esther.

Love this French Cafe in downtown Palm Springs. The Service and Food is phenomenal. It's been 6 years since our last visit, check hours of operation because we have missed visiting because of their closed days. The Food is AMAZING. New owners for the last 4 years

Franck's veg benedict!

J'adore L'Atelier Cafe! I visit PSP annually &, when I am here, I cannot stop myself from their wonderful mimosas, eggs benedict (can be made veg!), pastries & - of course - their awesome staff! Franck (Chef) makes THE best food in PSP! I wish I could transport their entire business to WA state :). Thank you for being here! best, Shelly

4/5: amazing food! Croissant hits different. Maybe it's the vibe maybe it's the food. Maybe it's both. Love the casual breakfast. Service 5/5 Would come back again!

The restaurant has a great Palm Springs atmosphere, especially if you can grab a table on the tree-lined patio like we did. There's some indoor seating, but the outdoor spaces are clearly part of the appeal. Farm is apparently known for its weekend brunch scene, although a Wednesday morning was a little calmer and probably easier to enjoy. I ordered the Andouille omelette, which was loaded with flavor and came with a massive mound of avocado that made me happy immediately. The side of bacon was perfectly prepared, which sounds simple until you realize how many places still get bacon wrong. This isn't a flashy breakfast spot. It's just comfortable, welcoming and very well executed. Exactly what we wanted to start the day.

Spectacular dining experience here while visiting PS…read more Booked thru open table for 8:30 on Sunday evening. We arrived 15 minutes early and decided to have a cocktail in bar while waiting for table. We were told they were running 5-10 minutes behind but the Maitre D came to seat us before our cocktails were even ordered. lol We were sat on the fabulous patio with a gorgeous view of the scene. Good people watching if that's your thing. The first white jacketed back waiter took our water order and brought warm baguette with butter. For cocktails we had absolutely perfect gimlets on the rocks. Not too sweet or tart. Just right. Then another brought us an appetizer as a mea culpa for running late! ( They never were!) It was a wonderful cauliflower soup. Our main waiter came by to introduce himself, Jonathon( excellent, request him!) and explain the menu which was handwritten on white board. Love that! We ordered filet tartare, lobster ravioli and sea bass. They were all perfectly prepared and delicious. For dessert we devoured the chocolate soufflé. Don't skip on a chocolate soufflé! They are a rare commodity in dining these days. Other reviews noted high prices. I live in a big city where the prices are comparable if not higher. So we found them commensurate with the quality of food and level of service. I would dine here weekly if I were local, or at least cocktails at the bar. Kate, the manager I believe, stopped by to make sure all well too. You won't find better service in Palm Springs let alone other major cities!

We were seated at a table that we were not happy with, jammed in between to large parties and the easel menu board. We asked for another table which was then perfect. David S. was our server, very nice, friendly, and fairly attentive. The restaurant was filled. There were a couple periods during our dining experience that there were odd long waits, like in the beginning after we got our drinks we had to wait for the menu and wait after our appetizer for our entree, but nothing to keep us from coming back. We ordered cocktails then looked at the easel menu when it was finally presented. My friend ordered the Escargot appetizer and the Lamb for his entree. I ordered the Crunchy Boston Scallops and the Lobster Ravioli for my entree. When the dishes were served they were all presented beautifully. All the dishes tasted heavenly... OMG the Scallops, I LOVED. We would definitely come back, when in Palm Springs. Atmosphere: beautiful patio venue. Service: good. Food: excellent.

As first-time visitors to Palm Desert, we didn't realize just how chilly the desert evenings can…read moreget--especially with a baby in tow. We had originally booked patio seating, but from the moment we walked in, the experience felt thoughtful and genuinely hospitable. We were warmly greeted by the owner, who immediately noticed we had a baby and proactively offered to relocate us to a more protected outdoor area while still preserving the al fresco experience. He set us up in the covered outdoor section to the right of the restaurant--best described as a beautifully styled canopy space rather than a typical patio. It was lush, cozy, and lavishly decorated with greenery, honestly a vibe all on its own. He even turned on the heaters to make sure our baby stayed warm. That level of care alone already set the tone for the night. Now let's talk about the food--because wow. This is classic French comfort done right. We started with the chicken liver pâté, which was easily one of the best I've had to date. Silky, rich, and deeply flavorful. This dish was especially nostalgic for me--my mom is a huge fan of pâté, and growing up we'd often eat it with bread as a snack or light meal. One bite instantly transported me back. Comfort food in the truest sense. For entrées, my wife ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon--tender, slow-braised beef that practically melted, swimming in a deeply savory, wine-forward sauce that felt both rustic and refined. I went with the Steak au Poivre, perfectly cooked and coated in a bold, peppery cream sauce that struck that ideal balance between richness and bite. Both dishes were executed beautifully--classic French flavors, no shortcuts, no gimmicks. Drinks were just as satisfying. I ordered a dirty Grey Goose martini with blue cheese olives, and let me tell you--it's surprisingly hard to find places that actually carry blue cheese olives. This one detail alone earned extra points in my book. The ambiance really tied everything together. French music played throughout both the indoor and outdoor spaces--some tracks were even recognizable, adding to the authenticity without feeling cliché. It felt transportive, warm, and relaxed. And bonus points for location: the restaurant sits right next to Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, making it dangerously easy (and highly recommended) to follow up dinner with dessert. All in all, French Rotisserie Cafe delivered on hospitality, atmosphere, and genuinely excellent French cuisine. Whether you're visiting Palm Desert for the first time or you're a local, this spot is absolutely worth a reservation.
