BBQ Chicken | Salad
Ricardo M.

Went to this small hole in the wall spot. Drove all the way from Riverside just to try this spot. All I can say Wow! Incredible! The food here was absolutely delicious I would love to come back here soon. The crepes with the bbq chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and other topping were so good! Price was okay. Spent like $36 for two loaded crepes. I thought it was a little over priced crepes but I decided it was worth it because the flavor was incredible. Hidden gem! Must check it out. There are parking spots in the residential area. We came here on a Monday and it wasn't that busy which was perfect because I heard the weekends gets crazy here! Try this spot out.

Just tried Gambian's over here in La Quinta (in Old Town LQ) and it was amazing!! My husband went and picked up one Chopped and one chicken Cesar wrapped in a crepe. It was so delicious and he told me the customer service was excellent. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and coming back ourselves for more!

The crepes here are delicious. My favorite was the chicken pesto, though I think the cheese and spread as well as the pesto was just overkill. I would definitely order it without the cheese sauce next time. My husband enjoyed the chicken Caesar, the food was made to order quickly and presented beautifully. The perfect snack on a hot day while in Palm Springs, highly recommended!

Waiting to write a full review. This place has good food but need to come here a few more times to decide on the service. Keep in mind this is an outdoor only seating restaurant. Good to grab and go home since it's summer. Would be great in the winter to sit outside to enjoy.

Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 Our first stop on our Palm Springs trip was Gabino Creperie, because we wanted to grab a little snack before dinner. It was a bit tricky to find at first since it's tucked away in a walkway, but there is a sign on the main street letting you know where they're located. Once we spotted it, we were so glad we made the effort. We were greeted by a very friendly young man who struck up a conversation with us and took the time to explain the different types of crêpes. He also described how they're finished with a flavorful outer layer of cheese and chimichurri, which immediately caught our attention. We decided on the chicken pesto, although it was honestly hard to choose because everything looked so good. When our crêpe came out, it looked just as beautiful as the pictures. And the taste? Amazing. It somehow managed to be fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of richness at the same time. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but it absolutely satisfied our craving and we practically inhaled it. It was raining the day we visited, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor tables, but I loved the Tupac quote and the rose detail outside. Such a cool touch. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving crêpes. We will definitely be back. Next time we're trying both a savory crêpe and a sweet one.

I had seen this place when looking for spots to eat in Palm Springs and it was literally around the corner from my hotel! You have to either walk through this alley next to construction to find it OR you can park behind it and walk through the back. There's a little window to order from and a cute little patio seating area. Honestly it was very flavorful! I got the bbq chicken one since it was on the food network. The flavor was there and so was the crepe. It had a cheesy flavor baked in to it and it was so unique!

Looking for an unforgettable crepe? THIS IS THE PLACE!!! I make trips to Palm Springs to have crepes from here, that's how remarkable this place is!

Have had this place on my bookmarks list for quite some time and to be able to finally visit. Such a Gem! My wife and I have been wanting to go here for a while! Glad we finally made it out. Parking in the back, with plenty of outside seating. Nestled towards the back of a little walkway is a tiny window where the magic happens. The guys serving these crepes are super cool. Very respectful crew. So each savory crepe is 16 bucks. Totally worth it. So much flavor and love in each bite. I ordered the chopped cheeseburger and my wife got the chicken ranch and we both shared the Nutella banana crepe for dessert. All were fantastic! I'm just bummed I didn't get to take a photo of the banana Nutella crepe. Let me put it this way. It didn't last. So the crepes got this crunchy outer layer. So texture wise. It's unique. The chopped cheeseburger was bomb. I mean great combo between the crepe and the burger fixins. Very enjoyable. Big too. I was skeptical at first but yeah totally worth it. The chicken ranch was bomb too! Like a chicken salad in a wrap that was something else. And obviously the banana nutella. BOMB.COM. Overall Nutella makes everything better. If you haven't tried Gabino's yet, mark it on the list! It's a hit!

This place takes crepes to a whole other level! And by that I mean your savory creperie dreams!!!!!! I loved the chicken pesto, it was so good. That seared cheese on the outside?! Chef's kiss!!! One order is pretty filling and can be easily split by two. Pro-tip: order ahead!!! There is often a wait time otherwise. Plenty of seating to hang out and wait behind the stand. Pro-pro tip: save a few bucks by buying your drink refreshment from the liquor store upfront!

Really good crepes! A quick and easy pool side lunch if you are staying at the hotels nearby. My favorite was BBQ chicken, great balance of sweetness along with zing from the BBQ sauce. We tried the Chicken Ceasar, Buffalo Chicken and BBQ Chicken. The wait can be long but definitely worth it!

Wow, what a hidden gem! The savory crepe sandwiches are to die for. We had a buffalo chicken crepe & chicken Caesar salad. Encrusting the crepes with cheese adds a mouth watering texture with every bite. Staff was friendly & service was quick. It was pretty busy for a Thursday, but that's always a good sign. Seating is outdoor patio only, but it's a vibe with fans & mist. Definitely will be coming back when I'm in town.

Literally, a hidden gem! This hole-in-the-wall spot makes the most delicious and flavorful Crepe Sandwiches. We decided to order the Chicken Pesto and BBQ Chicken Crepe Sandwiches. Both Crepe Sandwiches were so amazing! Gabino's needs to open locations in the OC and LA county areas. This place will be my first stop when I return back to Palm Springs.

BBQ CHICKEN CREPE AND WATERMELON YERBA MATE
Michelle H.

My husband and I went here based on reviews and we were NOT disappointed!! We got the BBQ and Pesto crepes and I honestly can't tell you which was better! Such a cute vibe and since we went in the slow season (June) we didn't have to deal with lines. Good music and great seating with shade and misters to deal with the heat. Make sure to get their watermelon Yerba Mate...so refreshing. We will definitely be coming back here again

Are the same crepes used for both savory and sweet?

Hey Joe, there’s slightly a difference. We don’t put the garlic and herbs on the sweet crepe

I don't see the cheesesteak option on your menu. Is it not available?

I think this one is seasonal, but will be available full-time at the new location opening

Do special orders upset you? lol. I like the sound of the bbq chicken but hate lettuce and tomato.

Hey Joe! No special orders don’t upset us at all. Feel free to order as you wish.

I don't see a steak and cheese crepe on the menu, but I did see a photo of one?

There is one but its often sold out.

Are any of the crepes gluten free, or is there a gluten free option?

Yes we offer a gluten free option :)

No sweet ones?

As of April 2021 no sweet crepes on the menu, only savory.

Do you have a brick and mortar? Are you still going to the PS brewery? My daughter said she knows you and we need to go to the brewery someday soon

They have a storefront now in South Palm Springs (as of August, 2020). So delicious!!!

I've been getting a little fed up with relying on Google recommendations lately. You'll see places with 5,000+ reviews and almost five stars, then you actually go there and the food is a huge disappointment. FARM was one of those places where the food actually lived up to the reviews and the hype. I ordered the Spanish Migas with a side of potatoes and a small French press. The Migas were perfectly cooked, and the spice level was just right. You could taste each ingredient separately, and the salsa was really good too. The potatoes were probably one of my favorite parts--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The coffee was great as well. My server, Carol R., was very attentive and kept checking on me throughout the meal. She even double-checked the name and receipt, which I appreciated because she was clearly paying attention to the details and making sure everything was correct. The atmosphere is really nice too. It actually feels like you're sitting on a farm, which makes the whole brunch experience feel special. And considering the portion size, quality of the food, and how popular this place is, I thought the price was very reasonable. This place actually met my expectations, which has been rare lately. If you're in Palm Springs and looking for a good brunch spot, I'd definitely recommend FARM. I just wish I had found this place sooner!

After waiting around 20 minutes, I decided to just grab a seat at the bar, and I'm actually glad I did. There was no wait, and even though the restaurant was packed, my food came out really fast. Jon was my primary server. He was polite but was not attentive, I didn't feel like we connected much during the meal. The front staff was very friendly, though, and helped me with some recommendations. I ordered the guacamole with chips and salsa, fried whole jalapeño, chile relleno, and rice and beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well seasoned. The guacamole was really good, the rice and beans had a lot of flavor, and the fried jalapeño with the habanero sauce had just the right amount of heat. If you like spicy food, I'd definitely recommend trying it. The chile relleno was recommended by Alvaro, and he told me it reminds him of his grandma whenever he eats it. I really liked hearing that because it made the recommendation feel personal, and he was absolutely right, it was delicious. Huge shoutout to Alvaro. He wasn't even my primary server, but he kept an eye on me, checked in, helped with recommendations, and made sure everyone around the bar was taken care of. He was just genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, and that stood out to me. For dessert, I tried the Pan de Elote for the first time, again on Alvaro's recommendation. I had never tried it before, but trust me, hands down, it was really good. I'm glad he convinced me to give it a try because it was the perfect way to finish the meal. The kitchen deserves a shoutout too. Everything came out cooked well and looked great. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has both indoor and outdoor seating, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. I've been to a few highly rated places around Palm Springs that looked great on paper but didn't quite live up to the reviews, so it was nice to finally have a meal that actually delivered. Good food, good atmosphere, and genuinely nice people. Alvaro definitely made the experience more memorable!!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, our experience at Clandestino was…read moredisappointing, especially considering we were celebrating my birthday. My partner took me here for my birthday weekend, and the evening started off wonderfully. We ordered an appetizer and drinks, enjoyed the atmosphere, and were looking forward to a great dinner. Unfortunately, the service took a noticeable turn after we ordered our entrees. After finishing my first drink, approximately 20 minutes passed without anyone checking on our table. We were seated outside, and there wasn't a server nearby to flag down. When our entrees finally arrived, they were quickly dropped off by someone other than our server, without anyone checking whether we needed anything else. I specifically asked that person to send our server over because I wanted another drink, and another five minutes passed before someone, possibly a manager or lead, finally approached us. By that point, I had been waiting approximately 25-30 minutes just to order another drink. There were two cocktails on the menu I wanted to try, so I asked for both. His response was curt and surprisingly uncomfortable: "We don't usually do two drinks because it looks like we're overserving." I completely understand and respect a restaurant's responsibility to serve alcohol responsibly. My issue wasn't necessarily with the policy itself, but with how it was communicated. His tone felt dismissive and almost reprimanding, as though I'd done something inappropriate simply by asking to order two cocktails. I'd only had one drink up to that point, was enjoying a full meal, and had given no indication that I was intoxicated. What made the interaction particularly frustrating was that the restaurant's lack of attentiveness had created the situation in the first place. Had someone checked on our table regularly, I likely would have ordered another cocktail much earlier. Instead, after nearly half an hour of waiting, I was made to feel uncomfortable for requesting two drinks when someone finally appeared. It was also a little confusing considering the restaurant offers a margarita flight on its own menu. While I understand that's not necessarily equivalent to two full cocktails, it does make the response feel somewhat inconsistent with the experience the restaurant promotes. A more hospitality-focused response could have been as simple as, "Absolutely, let's start with one and I'll check back shortly to see if you're ready for the second." That would have respected the restaurant's policy while still making me feel like a valued guest. We spent approximately 2.5 hours at the restaurant, and I don't think wanting to enjoy two or three cocktails over the course of a birthday dinner is particularly unreasonable. Ultimately, this was disappointing because the evening started so positively. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, and I genuinely wanted to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, the extended gaps in service and the unnecessarily uncomfortable interaction overshadowed what should have been a special occasion. Hospitality is about more than serving good food. It's also about making guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience, and I don't see us returning.
