BBQ Chicken

Mason helped us at the check out and was awesome! From the beginning to the end! He did an awesome job. He educated and pulled us right in. The cook line also greeted us when we came in. I did think 40 was a steep price for two crepes and a Yerba mate but honestly, with the guest service and how fire they were. I wouldn't look back! The price point matched the service and the food. That's pretty hard to get right. We got the bbq chicken and the Friday special Philly cheesesteak! I loved how it almost gave a coffee shop vibe. The crepes spoke for themselves. Not the place. As someone that has worked many years in the hospitality/food industry. Keep making the world a better place. We'd love to be back. You nailed it.

Exceptionally tasty. Unique presentation. And to top it off, they cater to gluten sensitivity with gluten free crepes.

I will walk this line to get something from TKB. 4/5 Service The line can look intimidating but moves rather quickly to order. Getting your food, we'll you have to wait. My party all got their food and ai was just standing there like a little kid waiting with anticipation. 5/5 Food I am just thinking of how warm the sandwich was. Went with the special of the day. I can still savor it, makes my mouth water. The Smoked Pastrami was delicious! Pastrami was tender, the garlic buttered french roll added a nice flavor along with the French fries. 5/5 Ambiance Seating in or outdoors. Lots of space even when it's busy. 5/5 Parking Spots are as available as the chips along the line inside. 6/5 Likelihood to Return I can't wait for work to send me to Indio again so I can try another one and walk the line to order. It was well after the lunch rush but it was pleasantly busy. Employees were friendly and checking on patrons, serving food and tending to empty tables. We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. I'm pretty tolerant of grumpy people (you know, sometimes there's a reason) but this just felt really icky -it was our intended destination after a hot drive from Phoenix and it did not sit well with us. We won't be returning. Food =10 Customer service = so disappointing 3

I especially enjoyed the #14 The House. It's a house-made chicken salad with nuts and cranberries and comes with sprouts, tomato, mayo, salt and pepper on Squaw Bread. The cranberries adds a mild sweetness which balances out the mayo and the nuts adds another layer of crunchy texture and flavor which I loved. If I were to be honest, I wasn't too crazy about their bread. On both sandwiches, it was soft which was good, yet at the same time, just a bit stale. While the sandwiches initially seemed loaded, most of the ingredients are right in the middle of the sandwich where they slice it in half, so while it's very visually appealing, there's basically a ring near the crust of the bread that didn't have much toppings. As far as the Love The Club sandwich. I think they are a bit heavy handed with the salt. The sandwich was too salty. At $33 for two sandwiches, it's also a tad bit pricey. Overall good experience and will be back to try more !

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Service was excellent. Seated immediately and ordering minutes later. Got extra cream cheese on request and our coffees were diligently refilled. The main attraction was the pastrami sandwich. Totally to my wife's taste, extremely lean and stacked high. She had to take half home. I tried an omelette with corned beef and loved it. The everything bagel was perfectly acceptable, not too "bready." So: service good, pastrami good, and bagel good. Everything good about a deli is covered.
