Lobster roll with "butter" (cold and tasted more like butter flavored oil)
    Cheryl S.

I was hoping this establishment would have great food as it is so close to my home. I love the farm to table concept and I would love to support the husband / wife owners. The service was 5 star, unfortunately, the food was just meh. The tater tots tasted like they were made in old oil. The "drawn butter" for the lobster roll tasted like anything but butter, was cold, and had a really odd thick texture to it (as many restaurants as I've been to in my life I've never seen butter with this consistency or taste). The lobster in the lobster roll appeared to be mostly the claws - or just tough in general. It was not a tender and moist lobster roll. And the bun had that same funky old oil taste on it that was on the tater tots. We might return because we really want to support this husband / wife team - but it'll be a while and hopefully they'll fix all that's broken by that point.

Burrata and tomato - 8/10. It had "too much tomato" but the green sauce is very yummy (per my daughter) Hotbird - 7/10. Buffalo sauce was money. Coleslaw wasn't the best but it was a decent enough sando (per my oldest son). Lemony avocado toast - 3/10. The lemony aoli was bitter instead of bright so it took away from the flavor. (Per my youngest and I). Burger - 7.5/10. Good flavor, not very big, and the bun was a little big for the size of the patty (per the husband). Chilaquiles - 7/10. The chilaquiles itself was great, flavorful sauce, the chips had maintained some Crunch etc. The egg was only one egg so that was a bit of a bummer but it was fried and seasoned perfectly. The chicken breast was super super dry... like cardboard. I wouldn't order that protein again. The avocado was underripe so that was a bit of a bummer.

Had an adequate burger at a premium price. I like the place ... but I sure won't be back for their burger.

Ahi dinner $20.00. Does not look like the website picture at all.

Very disappointing. Ordered the Ahi bowl times 2 see picture I took upon opening. First off this does not represent the Ahi bowl picture they show on their website. Then over cooked and BBQ sauce Poured over I assume to hide the fact that it was over cooked. Six small little pieces of Ahi. Very small Pickles with Ahi seriously never seen that before. Shared a salad which was okay the lemon bars were good. After $88.00 we will be hungry in an hour. Not impressed.

    The "Club" sandwich

This place used to be good but now it seems they are skimping on quality. My club sandwich had one single piece of turkey on it. It was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich on bread (not toasted). My husband ordered the chili verde burrito and it was basically white rice and lettuce, hardly any chicken at all. The onion rings and tots were good but you can't charge these prices and then skimp on the ingredients. Definitely won't be back here any time soon.

Have always enjoyed this location in Citrus Center. YELP Short Answer: yes all menu items breakfast, lunch, to early dinner are great. Location: great parking Buildout: nice but nothing fancy indoors or out. Menu: a large menu best to check online before arriving as the line here can get long and it is so annoying when people are frozen trying to decide. Food Quality: good to very good for what this place is all about. Real Cooked Food definitely not Fast Food. Waitstaff: always hire nice people here, but it does get crazy busy so be understanding the people working are probably not having as much fun as you are.!. Coachella brought in some real challenges. Overall Value: a bit on the expensive side for what it is, check the menu but $20 for a sandwich and water is common. Tip: get there early or off peak, sometimes the service is slow as they are slammed. BLT is awesome.

This has been our go too for breakfast on the weekends for my fiancé and I. The customer service is always amazing. The food is delicious no plate ever disappoints and they have so many to choose from that we always try a different one. They always have great music playing.

Horrible food, terrible service. Posing as healthy, but it's not. The food is awful. Greasy, only half cooked.

And they did not disappoint! Wow! Seriously, not a pancake fan, but these were great! I ordered a side of sausage patties, another breakfast item I prefer over sausage links, and they were also very tasty. The place was busy, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday late morning. I'm sure Sundays are PACKED! The service was top notch and friendly. The wait staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing--my coffee and water were constantly refilled without even having to ask, which always makes a difference. I ordered the BLTA along with their German pancake. The BLTA was exactly what you want--crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, creamy avocado, all put together on toasted bread, and paired perfectly with seasoned fries. Now the standout: the German pancake. Just a heads up--it takes about 15-20 minutes to come out, but it's 100% worth the wait. It's served hot, puffed up, and finished with powdered sugar and lemon. Light, slightly crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle--really well done. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to

We were seated promptly and a server was by quickly. We ordered and the food came out in a reasonable time frame. I had Date Pancakes and loved them. I'd eat at the Cafe at Shields Date Garden the next time were's in the area. Tip - go earlier in the morning for the cool weather as it can get pretty warm eating outside. Also, stay and tour the gardens. They're amazing.

So let me begin by saying that my husband & I have been regular customers as in at least twice a month since last summer. When we dine here we always give a 25% to 30% tip to the server. There have been times they didn't deserve it but we leave it never the less because we frequent the restaurant and want to honor the servers working there. The last two times before today have not been as good as usual but we decided to go here for lunch today. Hubby got a cheese omelet and I ordered the Shield's Signature Salad. We also ordered two coffees. It is like pulling teeth to get a coffee refill here. This is a regular occurrence where we have to ask for more coffee. Our food arrives and I notice that my husband's plate was sloppy and the omelette much smaller than usual. On my salad was unpeeled mango slices. I had to peel the skin off in order to be able to eat them! Anyone who cooks knows that the skin peels right off a ripe mango. Apparently however makes the salads is too lazy to do that! The pear was unripe and hard as a rock on the salad so it was not edible. The mango was ripe and after I peeled the skin off it was edible. The entire salad however was drenched in salad dressing! It had twice the amount of dressing on it that it should have had making it totally inedible. I called the server over and showed him the mango and let him know that I tried to eat the mango with the skin and you cannot chew it! He argued with me, brought back another plate of sliced mango that still had the peel on it!! He continued to argue. Then he took off and when I went to eat the salad there was just too much dressing on it. I asked the helper there who was assisting him to take the salad as I could not eat it as it was. They asked if I wanted something else but my husband was half way done and honestly, I lost my appetite so I said no. Had to ask for coffee again. When the server came by I flagged him down & asked for the check. When he brought it I tried to explain about the mango and the salad and he was super rude and just not interested. First time I ever left a dollar for a tip! I wrote on the check & I quote; "when you aren't interested at all in what your customers have to say you are lucky to receive a dollar!" They seem to just care about the tourists and not the regulars! So guess what...these regulars will not be back. We were regulars who always tipped well and we didn't deserve that treatment. NEVER again and this time I mean it. The dirty silverware and sticky coffee cup are bad enough but the nasty service they can keep w/o us going there again!

The time before this was a year ago and we got food poisoning so we haven't been going back. Someone I work with said that the food had gotten better. Our power was out on Saturday so we decided to go to Pom for lunch to relax and get out of the heat. This was the brunch menu which we had never tried. It wasn't busy at all maybe 4 tables bing used.Firstly, the service was not good. The woman just seemed clueless and talk about slow! Took almost 40 minutes to get our food. You could tell she left the food in the kitchen too long as the tortillas were all soggy and breaking apart and the whipped cream on the waffle had melted!! Pork Belly tacos that were on a single tortilla, weird sauce on them that wasn't good, NO salsa, just a smattering of pico and some bad pickled onions. The pork had been deep fried as were the potatoes....YUK everything deep fried with zero flavor. Had to ask for some other corn tortillas as these were falling apart and they need to double up on the tortilla. Had to ask for salsa and that didn't even help with the taste. We also had a banana fosters' waffle that was soggy and just tasted like sugar. Not good. However the worst was trying to get service, trying to get our check to leave because we were both having to run to the head!! Yep....food poisoning AGAIN. Third time now. We spent the next hour in the bathrooms in the lobby before we could go home. By the time I reached my home I was throwing up. My husband said how in the heck do you get food poisoning from a waffle!! I'm sorry nothing against the people giving this place 5 stars but clearly they do not know what good food is.This is not good food or service. After trying it 6 times now and 3 out of the 6 times we were ill I don't think so! My husband has a cast iron stomach as well, however he spent the next 3 hours in the bathroom!! Never again
