Okay, if I tell you how amazing this place really is, everyone is going to come here and then I won't be able to get a table... so let me just say this: STAY AWAY! The food was awful. Don't ever go there. Just kidding, sorry Cups -- but seriously, this place is OFF THE CHARTS! I had the Ahi Salad, Lox Benedict, French Toast, Cups Omelet, and the Divorced Eggs, and every single dish was incredibly pleasing to the mouth. My mouth is watering just thinking about each one. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. And the iced coffee deserves its own shout-out. They even had coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn't get watered down. Genius -- and really, really good! The staff was super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I hope they pool the tips together because every single person earns their keep. And speaking of that -- don't forget to tip the cooks, too! The food coming out of that kitchen deserves some love. Cups Cafe, you nailed it. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and Hubs ordered the steak and eggs and zucchini pancake. Our server was great. We sat outside, even in the heat it was ok. The portions were much bigger than I anticipated. This is not bad. Lol Both of our dishes were phenomenal. The only thing that lacked were the zucchini pancakes. Great breakfast spot in palm desert close to the 10! We've visited two different years during Coachella weekends and both times were great. They know caffeine! Their cold brew and cappuccinos are fabulous and I ordered the brewed ice tea which was fresh and much needed. For breakfast we order the French Toast, side of scrambled eggs, avocado and fruit cup. Everything was really yummy! French toast was great but a little thick and wish it was slightly thinner so all the bread in the middle was touched by custard. Fruit was fresh and avocado was perfect. Mexican inspired breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. I was told the most popular item was the Chilaquiles so I ordered that. It was fine, but nothing amazing. It had more tortilla chips than anything else. My husband got the huevos rancheros that was better than the Chilaquiles. We also shared the zucchini pancakes. They were good but a little undercooked. It would've been nice if they served it with real maple syrup, but I could tell it was a cheap syrup. The cappuccino was just OK. The coffee quality was not great. The food was so gooooooood! I don't usually like conchas but it was bomb with the cream filling, not too sweet. The chilaquiles was one of the best I've had in a while. My friend ordered french toast and a hot beverage. Portions seemed alot smaller and a slice of orange could have made the plate looked better . I ordered the original Eggs Benedict breakfast. The poached eggs were so small and the canadian bacon must have been sliced by a razor. Potato's came in a small cup that were both not cooked and cold. Imagine charging almost $19.00 for this , and again would it have hurt to put a slice of orange on the plate?? No wonder people are choosing not to eat out at restaurants anymore. They have a nice variety of coffee drinks and the cold brew comes with lots of coffee ice cubes so your coffee doesn't dilute! . What a little gem in the desert! First time and won't be our last! The food was delicious and fresh. Everything had FLAVOR, if you know what I mean. Ordered the ranchero steak omelette special, the huevos rancheros and the French toast drizzled with caramel and condensed milk. Damn. I am literally drooling as I type. Had a great breakfast at Cups Cafe this morning. I ordered the El Ranchero Omelette and a strawberry matcha. My husband had the Chile Verde Omelette Special that was not on the menu, and an iced tea. My Ranchero Omelette was very tasty. The chorizo was flavorful without being spicy or greasy. The order came with a big side of potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and roasted. My strawberry matcha was perfect! My husband also really enjoyed his Chile Verde Omelette served with fresh tortilla chips and beans which he said were great. Fresh iced tea, too. Cups Cafe has good food and good service. The food was nothing out of the ordinary. I was disappointed that they didn't have Swiss cheese for the omlettes and do not carry almond milk any more. The food was less than mediocre. I tried the shrimp frittata and it was soupy and not good!! I sent it back and got avocado toast. Easy enough? Nope! They managed to mess that up too with bread that's not toasted and avocado mash from a bag. One slice of tomato and a boiled piece of onion that was supposed to be pickled onion. It did not even have vinegar. We got an order of pancakes that was $10 and received one small pancake. Probably the worst breakfast I've ever paid for. The service was okay. Our server got mad at another server for taking our order but she was just trying to be nice and saw we were ready to order. He came up to her while she was taking our order and told her "why are you stealing my table??" Cringe!!!! Ambiance was nice and that's why I gave it 1 star. I came on a Sunday around 10a and luckily didn't have a long wait time. My waitress was super nice and accommodating. There is a decent amount of seating inside and out, but it wasn't too loud as all the tables were full. I was happy about that as someone who is soft spoken and can't hear that well. This place has a great vibe, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. It was a busy Sunday and we waited may 10 min. Sat by the kitchen and got to see all of the amazing items come out (which made it difficult to pick just one for myself). My party of four all went for the Chilliquilles. 2 red and 2 green 3 with steak and one with chorizo. The flavor for the sauces were outstanding. They were rich with flavor. Our steaks were cooked to perfection for all of our taste. The waiter even brought us chili oil for the fire moths that were with us who like everything extra spicy. The one thing that I did not like was that the tortilla chips were not crunchy at all. They tasted like they had been pre made and sitting in a chaffing dish. I prefer to have mine cooked "as ordered" fresh and crispy and super hot. My eggs were uneven, 1 was runny and the other over cooked and solid no runny yolk like I ordered. The steak was well seasoned and solid juicy. This was not a cheap cut of meat or a skinny overcooked piece of carne asada. I loved it and my friends loved theirs as well. The chorizo was good quality and tasted great as well. Ordered a side of potatoes and they tasted like they were premade in a chaffing dish and not cooked fresh.
