Vanilla matcha with avocado and bacon toast

This café had been on my must-visit list, and I'm so glad I finally stopped by! I had brunch with a friend, and we both ordered the avocado toast, I added bacon to mine. The toast had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the subtle sweetness of the bread paired really well with the avocado and bacon. I also had the vanilla matcha, which was light and enjoyable. The café is small but beautifully decorated with cute, girly vibes and plenty of Instagram-worthy spots. Our server was incredibly kind and never made us feel rushed, even though we stayed a few minutes past closing. Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Bacon dates with orange and mascarpone. 5/5

The Blushing Peony is the sister restaurant to Chula in La Quinta which I haven't been to. Blushing Peony is a cute brunch spot serving up delicious dishes and pastries. We split the bacon orange dates with mascarpone which were to die for. The burrata apple salad was a perfect fall salad. It has crispy prosciutto, candied pecans, arugula and apples which had been seasoned with a nice warm spice mix. We also shared the chicken BLT. This was a lot of food for two but we left full and happy. They are a wine bar as well and have wine dinners from time to time. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch or lunch. The decor is very feminine. This is a great place to meet with friends.

The food, the service, and the ambiance were 5 star. We would highly recommend!! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel at home.

    Such a cute setting!

This is a wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is so nice for single dining, a mini lunch date or a get-together with friends. We had the Orange Bacon Dates and they were so good. Having orange and bacon on them is an added bonus! We also had the Manchego Potato Croquettes. So good! The red chile broth and sweet pepper aioli that came with them was bursting in flavor. It was served with a perfect bread to soak up any extra of those great sauces. We decided to get the carafe mimosa with pomegranate juice. Very good choice! **The service was spot on. She was helpful, sweet and very efficient! We will definitely be back.

Sporadic visit and this place was amazing! Not pictured: golden latte, iced coffee, arnold palmer & bloody mary - all delicious! Service was great and our waiter was very kind. Ambiance is so pink and cute - big pours for wine as well. Only point off is having to ask for new utensils/ cups as they had residual makeup from previous customers. Quickly given new ones but only issue for us! Definitely recommend for a brunch moment!

Reminiscent of an upscale monte cristo. Apologies. Forgot the name.

The food here was edible artwork. Your senses were heightened by the aroma of all things delicious. If bacon could be honored, it was at the Blushing Peony. Service was excellent and very welcoming. Our hostess was amazing and such a pleasant demeanor. The ambiance was the perfect vibe for 3 Woman to enjoy each others company and devour some amazing dishes. The decor was simple and elegant. Peonies are my favorite flower. Not to mention the Lemon Curd Waffles ! OMG!! And the grilled cheese with mushrooms ... The Blushing Peony is a MUST!

This was my second time coming here and I love it even more now! The girls, again are always so sweet. The food was full of flavor and so so good! The matcha was perfect too. Not too sweet! The perfect environment for mom dates without kiddos!

Wine bar doesn't open till 5 which was when happy hour started. For the first hour, they had wine, well drinks and draft beer. A few small plates also offered. It's a wine and tapas bar. It's along El Paseo before you hit the main shopping area, depending on which way you come. Entrance has a nice wall created by ficus trees and mister spraying to keep you cool. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. A good amount of hi top seating and tables. Hi top seating that are along the window were actually very uncomfortable. Padded seats were so narrow that seating was so uncomfortable but oh well. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

DRINKS AND APPETIZER ONLY!…read more We were visiting family down the street, so we popped in for a drink. The look and the feel of the Grapefruit Basil restaurant did not feel like other Tommy Bhammas. It did not have that vibe. Plus, the drink menu is not the same as Tommy Bahammas as well- while reviewing the menu I noticed a couple of similar drinks such as the grapefruit basil, so I decided to order a familiar drink. Unfortunately, this drink was not as good as the one that I had the night before-- I could not taste the alcohol, it just tasked like grapefruit- I was sad, as this is like my go to drink. To compliment out drinks, we had the salsa guac appetizer that we are very familiar with from the Tommy Bhamma restaurant. The appetizer was good, and like I remember from their restaurants. So how was the atmosphere-- we just popped down at the bar. The bar felt like we were at a hospital. Very white and blah. If it was a cooler night, the outdoor space might have been nicer. They do have a bar and seating outside. As it was still in the 100s, we did not have that option. The bar was a bit distasteful with off conversations- we don't mind a party vibe, but the vibe was not that kind of environment. Lastly, this restaurant/bar does not use the tommy Bahamas membership program so you cannot accumulate points or use your credits. Would we come again- well, Tommy Bahammas it's not too far away, I think we would head there instead or another bar.

After digging through Yelp and social media for a bit, we stumbled upon Ash & Vine, which appears to be a new addition to the area. Location-wise, it worked out perfectly, only about a five-minute walk from our hotel. That said, the place is quite hidden, at least to my eyes. We walked around for a bit before accidentally spotting the small sign tucked among all the greenery. Once inside, though, the place had plenty of charm. It almost feels like a small house where the living room was transformed into a warm and welcoming place for people to gather and enjoy a good dinner. Very stylish, but still comfortable and intimate. Must be that Palm Springs vibe. The service also matched the setting - warm, relaxed and welcoming without feeling overly formal. The food is beautifully and creatively presented, almost like fine dining, but the overall experience remains casual and approachable. My favorite was easily the scallop risotto. It was rich, hearty and flavorful, but still nicely balanced. My wife tried some and immediately said that the next time we pass through Palm Springs, she is ordering it for herself. Not that her Jidori chicken was bad, it was quite good, but that risotto was the dish we kept talking about afterward. Both of my boys loved their steaks. They said the sauce gave the filets a different flavor from the ones they have had elsewhere, which apparently earned their approval. We finished with the pavlova, a delectable combination of tropical sweetness, meringue, mango sauce and pineapple. Light, refreshing and a great way to end dinner - especially after walking through that Palm Springs heat. All in all, the bill came out to about $340 including tip for a party of four, with no alcohol. Not exactly a cheap dinner, but considering the setting, quality and overall experience, it felt reasonable for a nicer family meal in Palm Springs. A nice accidental find and a great start to our evening. It feels like one of those small hidden places that may not stay hidden for very long. Definitely somewhere we would return to the next time we are in town.
