    Tiramisu

Stepping in, the ambience is a "cool" dark, the child of a rugged bar and an LA American food restaurant. Lively, diverse, energized full of bright faces that bring light to the dimly lit space. Service was stellar - attentive, on it, anticipated needs/preferences before they were even addressed. A quick anecdote, the waitress made PROACTIVE decisions knowing I am Vegan, not just reactive - a rare thing outside of high dining restaurant. Red wine flight included a fantastic Cab & Cab Reserve, and a "very good" Pinot...and that's coming from a person who does not drink Pinot. I didn't care for the blend but then again I never care for a blend as it is. Food was "American" style tapas - small plates of well crafted foods ranging from flatbread pizza to meatballs to vege pockets and (for me) a "Vegan Stack" composed of rice, mango, avocado, and a delicious spicy mayo. Tiramisu dessert disappeared in all of 20 seconds, well plated and beautifully crafted. You will not leave La Fe thinking to yourself "that was the greatest food I've ever had," but you may just leave thinking "this was the best time with my friends I've ever had" - and THAT is what this restaurant is for -- Bring your friends for a night on the town, bring your family for an energized reunion, bring yourself for a social time itch-scratching. In other words, this restaurant has a unique PLACE in the Palm Desert area: it is the place to happy social.

Walked in when the bar was empty, at 5pm on a Friday (they had just opened) left at 7pm with a packed house! We sat at the bar, and wow the bartenders were knowledgeable about their wines and very skillful at making cocktails. Mario made me one of the best gimlets of my life! The vibes were chill at first but turned into the place to be. I can not wait to come back

Perfect first stop to a girls night out! The bartender was extremely nice and attentive even though they had a full house. This is not a quiet wine bar just an FYI. There is fun upbeat music playing through the speakers the whole time. I will have to come back soon and try the food.

La Fe is a quaint, but very lively wine/cocktail bar with tapas and small bites. It was recommended to us for their Banana Old Fashioned, which we didn't try on this visit, but will make a return. We stopped in late on a Saturday night and the place was packed, with mostly a younger crowd vibe. Indoor seating is mostly bar height with a few standard tables. There's also a cute, covered patio in front along El Paseo. Andrea waited on us, and the service was good. However, as busy as they were, extra staff may have helped with the wait times. My 91-yo mother-in-law tried a Non-Alcoholic Aperol Spritz ($15), which was tasty, while my wife and I shared a Premium Wine Flight ($45) including four 3 - 4oz pours. We also tried the Assorted Olives ($8) which was a nice accompaniment to the wine. Happy Hour is available Sun. - Thur, from 5-6 PM and you can enjoy drink and food specials, or a charcuterie board and select bottle of wine for $50. On street parking is available on El Paseo, as well as a large, private lot in the rear. The shortest walk is towards the west end of the buildings and around to the front of the shop.

My friends and I had a fabulous dining experience at this beautiful place last evening. We arrived right at five and there seemed to be a steady stream of folks right behind us. Every server that stopped by the table was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. We ordered off the happy hour menu and we weren't disappointed!! The food was amazing especially the salad and it was enough for the 3 of us to share. When we left a little after six, the place was packed. Great experience and we will definitely be going back!!

We stopped into La Fe for a glass of wine on our way to dinner and enjoyed good quick service in a friendly atmosphere. Thanks for the hospitality!

After digging through Yelp and social media for a bit, we stumbled upon Ash & Vine, which appears to be a new addition to the area. Location-wise, it worked out perfectly, only about a five-minute walk from our hotel. That said, the place is quite hidden, at least to my eyes. We walked around for a bit before accidentally spotting the small sign tucked among all the greenery. Once inside, though, the place had plenty of charm. It almost feels like a small house where the living room was transformed into a warm and welcoming place for people to gather and enjoy a good dinner. Very stylish, but still comfortable and intimate. Must be that Palm Springs vibe. The service also matched the setting - warm, relaxed and welcoming without feeling overly formal. The food is beautifully and creatively presented, almost like fine dining, but the overall experience remains casual and approachable. My favorite was easily the scallop risotto. It was rich, hearty and flavorful, but still nicely balanced. My wife tried some and immediately said that the next time we pass through Palm Springs, she is ordering it for herself. Not that her Jidori chicken was bad, it was quite good, but that risotto was the dish we kept talking about afterward. Both of my boys loved their steaks. They said the sauce gave the filets a different flavor from the ones they have had elsewhere, which apparently earned their approval. We finished with the pavlova, a delectable combination of tropical sweetness, meringue, mango sauce and pineapple. Light, refreshing and a great way to end dinner - especially after walking through that Palm Springs heat. All in all, the bill came out to about $340 including tip for a party of four, with no alcohol. Not exactly a cheap dinner, but considering the setting, quality and overall experience, it felt reasonable for a nicer family meal in Palm Springs. A nice accidental find and a great start to our evening. It feels like one of those small hidden places that may not stay hidden for very long. Definitely somewhere we would return to the next time we are in town.

Jillian's is one of our favorite fine dining restaurants in the desert so we wanted to share in the beautiful experience to dine here. The courtyard is our favorite spot to be, but the inside is also lovely. The ambiance is beautiful and warm with its quaint Spanish flair. The service is impeccable with each person being friendly, professional and attentive. The food was delicious! Some of our favorites include: -Nantucket scallops (when available and this is a seasonal item that is flown in fresh) -crab tower (fresh and beautiful presentation. And of course very tasty!) -gazpacho soup (a new special lately. Chilled and fresh!) -presidential whitefish (when available...they prepare this often with other fish when the whitefish is not available and it is still delicious with all of the accoutrements) -salmon in parchment (beautiful presentation and very good if you are a salmon lover) -lobster salad (served as a special but seems to be available often) -Miso glazed shrimp -baby gem salad (new for 2026 and delicious) Their bread and butter is also very tasty. Somewhat like dessert in itself. Their desserts are delicious as well. The decadent date is one of the best desserts I have ever had, the chocolate cake is rich and decadent, and the apple dumpling is another great one. You can't go wrong at this hidden gem!

First; the bar service was a disaster. One bartender for this very large restaurant and 10-12 seats at the bar. Clearly priority was given to the hurried wait staff, resulting in a 20 minute delay to even being greeted. The 4 of us would have liked another cocktail $($120 a round, including tip) but was never given the opportunity. A BIG MISS for the type of clientele who looks for a martini, old fashioned glass of wine while waiting for table. The food, bread service was outstanding, I enjoyed the tomato mozzarella ball salad, next halibut with crab meat special. Fish was outstanding but the set up left me puzzled. Pickled beets (which I love) felt out of place. A corn side dish that tasted right out of the Libby's can and some sort of tomato coulis? Not sure, but the dish was too busy with the "extras". I would have preferred a beautiful presentation of the delicate halibut and delicious crab all by itself. The wine list is extensive and expensive. We brought a bottle to open first; $40 corking fee. I would have liked to have seen a reduced or excused fee after purchasing a $200 bottle of Pahlmayer cab. Out waiter seemed hurried as did most in the courtyard. The Bus was polite and very attentive. I understand this was one of the busiest evenings of the season with Fashion Week on El Paseo and the tennis tournament in IW....but for the prices I expected more.
