The place looks and feels amazing. Employees only vibes for sure. The drinks were spot on. The service was great. And the food hit all the right buttons. The salad was delicious, the pasta as well. Very authentic bolognese. That bread is really really good too. I can't think of anything to change except the reservation system at all three restaurants. It's way too hard to make a reservation and really easy to walk in. I don't think people realize this. We tried for three years to eat at Bar Cecil. And even when we showed up at 5pm as instructed from the staff at Del Rey. We didn't quite understand the concept of Beatons. It is its own thing. Which wasn't made clear at the host. I just think that walk ins need to be welcome and Bar Cecil needs to be a little more accessible. Love the food at this location as it's much brighter and diverse than most. Much more flavor.

Hospitality and food are always top priorities for me when trying a new place, and Beaton's did not disappoint. It was conveniently close to our hotel, making it the perfect choice for a date night--and I'm so glad we gave it a try. From the start, the host was inviting and attentive. We asked to possibly be seated at the bar in Beaton's. We waited briefly in the lounge for about 5-10 minutes, which gave us a chance to take in the atmosphere. Beaton's Red Room has a unique, elevated vibe that really stands out from other spots in Palm Springs--I absolutely loved it. Luis, the bartender, truly made the night memorable. His recommendations were super helpful, and his mixology skills were exceptional. I got the Singapore Sling which was yummy and sweet. I was very happy after my night out at Beaton's.

An intoxicating interior space. Reminds me of the 1960s TV show... Wild Wild West, meets French Art Deco w some 1980s Milo Baughmandesigns in the mash up. (Ive seen this trend at The Parker, etc.) Beaton's is their bar/lounge, Bar Cecil is the restaurant. Popular with the PS boujee crowd. Drinks yes! Nibble were okay, skip the pigs in blanket and get the pomme frites. Excellent and professional friendly service from the minute you are greeted at the door. BTW we were walk ins on a Monday night with plans only to have a cocktail. We were given a table and the server was so delightful that we asked if there was an opening for dinner at Cecil... She got us a 8:15 table! There were no other openings that i saw. They are really service first here... the staff/customer ration is practically 1:1 I did try the burger... great flavor, and cute (w great pomme frites) but would not order again, other items seemed more interesting.

Beaton's should be on everyone's list for Palm Springs. We were told by someone in a gallery to go but hard to get in without a reservation. 6 women walked in at 6:00 and were greeted by Alex. We would have been happy seated in the waiting area with green couches. Alex seated us at the Owner's table, after calling us Lovelies and telling us we would have a lovely table. The bar is beautifully decorated with chandeliers and framed photos in the bathrooms. We ordered fun cocktails, French 75s, spicy margarita and mocktails. We loved the music, and picked many of the songs to add to a dance playlist. We canceled reservations at a restaurant to stay and enjoyed deviled eggs, Girl & Dug farm salad, vegan bao buns, pigs in a blanket, oysters and colossal shrimp cocktail. Our server Alex was perfect for our group. He was very attentive, offered good suggestions from the menu, was willing to take photos for us. As the night went on and we danced and sang to the music, we had great conversations with other servers and the other host Jason as well. I texted my 33 year old daughter that she and her friends need to go to Beaton's.

If you're looking for great cocktails and light bites in Palm Springs, paired with excellent service and the ambiance of a Parisian cocktail bar, then you'll have to check out Beaton's at Bar Cecil. It was a fun spot to sit at the bar while we were waiting for our table to be ready next door at Bar Cecil. The bartenders are excellent at working their mixology magic. Highly recommend checking this space out.

My girlfriend and I had a 5:30 reservation but got stuck in horrible traffic driving back from the Pasadena showcase house of design -we pulled in at 6:30 a full hour late. Great front desk staff who still accommodated us on the patio. Gorgeous interior! Very European as the waiter arrives with a three tiered silver tray with appertivo-(home made potato chips and green olives). We each ordered a petite Chablis and the steamed duck bao buns- delicious! I cannot wait to go back and really explore the menu.

    Singapore Sling. Excellent. Barkeep's choice

Ambiance excellent. Drinks fantastic, bartenders friendly, and reasonable prices. We sat at bar and it was excellent. Didn't have reservation but got here 5pm before opening 530pm

Amazing ambience definitely have to book in advance. They do take walk-ins, but I would recommend a reservation very classy French inspired restaurant with a lot of different appetizers. They do have pigs in a blanket, Bao buns, oysters, spaghetti, and some other little things to knock on. Might not be for a full meal or right before you go to bar Cecil however it was enough food for me for dinner. The drinks are amazing and I would recommend all of them they even have amazing artwork throughout the walls and the staff is very good and tons of servers to help with anything you might need. I highly recommend this place if you're able to get in.

The host Alex is incredibly kind and makes you feel welcomed. That is a major boss move when you walk into such a chic place bc it can be intimidating. We were sat and were immediately greeted by the wait staff. We ordered Mexican cokes and two tequilas, neat. The drinks were delivered 15 minutes later. We ordered food. A burger and steak frites. Both cooked to our desire and delicious. Nothing to rave about but a good solid meal. Beaton's is beautiful and there's a lot to take in and observe. Phenomenal people watching and genuinely genial, warm, peeps around you. Overall, great atmosphere!Headed back with a group for late night drinks very soon.

Wouldn't return. Service was not as good as bar Cecil proper and slow even seated at the bar. Drink was overtly sweet even though I asked for booze forward. Menu is extremely limited would avoid if you're hungry. After being obsssed with bar Cecil for years as a special treat an extreme let down :(

If you didn't know better you'd think you were in LA in the summer, excepty for the bocce ball. They have an excellent selection of spirits, cocktails. Maybe a little varied, but decently creative. The only thing that gets me is pricing. Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. The crowd makes up for it. Far less wrinkled and aging snowbirds and retirees circling the drain in their waning days. People dressing up and celebrating, genuine convivialness abounds with most guests. It's not somewhere else trying bring that vibe here, it's pretty authentic. It's separate from nextdoor other than shared bathrooms, so don't be surprised when you feel like your in a different world. Most people who wander between the 2 take pause and awe for a few seconds before their mood shifts to match the room. Not a place to get sloppy and party that way unless it's a closed event. It's a great, classic PS lounge for when you have 2 groups of friends who you can entertain, the steakhouse crowd for dinner and the loungers beforehand. Sunsets on the patio under the string lights and couches is rich backyard summertime vibez.

It felt lively, celebratory, and like exactly the kind of place you want for a wedding after party. The staff was welcoming, service was strong, and the atmosphere carried the night forward in a really fun way. I had found COPA through an online search for large groups, and to be fair, that's exactly what it is. We got the free tickets so had to arrive by 10, and it seemed like from 9-10 they had a bachelorette party focused hour where hired male dancers went around and danced with the bride to bes. We saw this from outside, and were already a little wary. Inside, the space is pretty small and the transition to multiple bridal party groups sitting down to a makeshift dance floor was pretty awkward - there were rows of seats lining the dance floor area. Once the DJ got underway and the dance floor formed, it was pretty fun! They played old school hits for the most part that we remembered from high school and college. It felt very comfortable as we were surrounded by a sea of other bach parties. It seemed like a bit of a pay-to-play situation - certain brides would get taken up on stage to dance, and it seemed like the ones who had paid for the VIP experience beforehand. We ended up heading out around midnight to see if we could find something with a bit more local ambiance and less bach parties, but appreciated the music and comfortable ambiance.

The drinks were strong and well-made, and even though the place was packed, our waitress stayed attentive and checked in with us consistently. It's clear they specialize in more elaborate cocktails, so a bit of a wait is understandable. The ambiance is also a highlight--dark, intimate, and really leans into the tiki vibe. **Night two** was the complete opposite. We accidentally mixed up our reservation time, but since the place was nearly empty, we were seated right away, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We had a different waitress, and despite being one of only a few parties there when we arrived, we waited **45 minutes** without seeing our drinks--while other groups seated after us were already being served (and even getting second rounds). We eventually had to flag down our waitress, who had hardly checked on us at all. When we asked about the delay, she said they were "very busy,". After mentioning how long we'd been waiting, there wasn't any real apology--just visible annoyance. She told us our drinks were "up next," but after another 20 minutes passed with nothing, we decided to leave after over an hour of waiting. It was disappointing, especially after such a positive first experience. A simple apology or some communication would have gone a long way. Sadly, the inconsistency makes it hard to know which version of this place you're going to get.

The two-top table near the bar, with mustard-fabric lounge chairs on low spindled "moon-lander" inspired supports seem to have jumped right out of a 60's time machine, matching the retro vibe in the whole place. Our server was delightful, regaling us with her informative descriptions of her favorite dishes... it's fabulous when a server knows the menu so well that they can describe not only what's in the dish, but why it's so good. Cocktails were an obvious strength, and after my first choice, the pear-inspired Akita was regrettably "out of stock" (she informed us that they had run out of the fresh pear syrup they make by hand each day), I was steered to the It's Giving Julius. This boozy take on the classic Orange Julius, with a mouth-watering egg-white-textured foam floating on rum-infused a citrus blast. For Gayle, it was a moment to savor the non-alcoholic "Clutch Your Pearls," complete with boba pearls atop an icy lime-green concoction. The entire restaurant is themed on "American comfort food with an Asian twist." And let me say, they nailed it in every aspect. My bowl of Tteokbokk was a brilliant spin on a classic Rigatoni bowl, subbing Korean rice cakes for pasta and gochujang spiked tomato sauce for marinara, but keeping the rich parmesan/mozzerella cheese. At the server's suggestion, I topped it with fried pork belly, well executed and delicious, the entire bowl was light with an arrabiatta-like kick. My wife had the Garlic Noodles... imagine a creamy bowl of chicken noodle casserole straight out of the 60's, but without a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken in sight. Velvety sauce glazed perfectly cooked Ramen noodles with vegetables and chicken... took her right back to her mother's kitchen where the same dish was the perfect remedy for the flu - comforting and scrumptuous without being too heavy. And finally having not overstuffed ourselves on this trip, we opted for the "poor life choice" of dessert. And after asking for the "simple plate of milk and cookies," the server corrected me and stated - rightly so - that this was anything but simple. Three stuffed cookies: Red Velvet with cheesecake cream, S'mores with marshmellow, and cinnamon filled Churro - nuggets from Heaven's bakery, with a glass of cold milk. We managed to finish it and roll on out full of some of the best food we've had this year. The only minor hiccup was when trying to buy merch on our way out, the front stand didn't have a terminal to let us pay, so we had to seek out a bartender to run our credit card (and they were super busy). A minor complaint in the grand scheme... get those hosts a card reader! Note: We didn't see a single dog in the place... but they clearly are welcome to 4-legged clientele. Such a fun spot.

That said, much of the food was excellent. The Duck Liver Pâté was incredible, and the Red Thai Curry Mussels were unique without overwhelming heat. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the standout dishes of the week. Those thick noodles were fantastic. We also ordered the Steak Frites and upgraded to filet. Unfortunately, it came out overcooked, and I asked for it to be removed from the check. On the other hand, the Smoked Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop was perfectly prepared and incredibly moist. The warm chocolate chip cookies were delicious too, although $15 for cookies is definitely a Palm Springs moment. Pricey? Very. Worth experiencing? Absolutely.
