Lemon Curd French Toast
John M.

This quaint restaurant... wait, did I actually use the word quaint? Yes! Yes I did... is small, oozes with charm and convenience yet tucked away in a world of its own it a gem to La Plaza and downtown in general. Very tastefully designed, Ash & Vine offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas for your dining delight. The food... well, that's what you're here for is a simple, yet eclectic variety. Honestly can be difficult to make a decision quickly as the options (we were there for brunch) were quite tantalizing. The lemon curd French Toast was amazing! On a somewhat warm late morning, the cool tartness of the dish was a complement to the weather. Presentation of the dish was spot on and Andrew, our server was an amazing host! Check this place out for your next downtown outing. We were advised they will be opening a small bar later this year which I cannot wait to try out! Food - 5 stars Staff - 5 stars Location - 5 Stars

We recently dined at Ash & Vine in Palm Springs for our long-awaited, rescheduled anniversary dinner. The space is quaint and intimate, creating a setting that feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home. That atmosphere naturally lends itself to attentive service, which we experienced throughout the evening. A special acknowledgment to our server, Pharaoh--knowledgeable, calm, and composed--who brought a thoughtful level of care to our table. To start, I had the Hamachi Crudo (Yellowtail Tuna, Avocado-Wasabi Sorbet, Citrus-Sesame Vinaigrette, Furikake). The fish was fresh, and the avocado-wasabi sorbet was beautifully executed--truly a standout. However, the citrus-sesame vinaigrette was a bit heavy-handed, overpowering what could have been a more balanced and delicate dish. My husband ordered the Burrata (Cherry Tomato, Strawberry, Pistachio Pesto, Basil, Arugula, Sourdough Points, Calabrian Chile Butter). An inventive combination and not your typical burrata presentation. While the flavors were thoughtful and layered, the overall composition leaned too heavily on dressing, which muted the individual components. We tend to appreciate when the core elements are allowed to shine with a lighter touch. For our main, we both chose the Scallop Risotto (Hokkaido Scallops, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Dashi, Cured Egg Yolk, Pickled Onions, Furikake). At first glance, it appeared to be a risotto with scallops as a garnish, but the portioning proved intentional and well-balanced. The scallops were perfectly cooked--golden and tender--and complemented the richness of the risotto. The pickled onions were essential, cutting through the depth and bringing the dish into balance. We finished with the Panna Cotta (Chocolate-Espresso, Local Berries, Chocolate Chips, Whipped Cream). A perfect dessert to share--rich, chocolate-forward with a subtle espresso note. A clean and satisfying close to the meal. Overall, this is a place to appreciate for what it is--creative, intimate, and thoughtfully curated--while understanding it leans toward bold compositions rather than restraint.

Wow!! This restaurant was such an amazing place to dine & hang out with friends. An intimate restaurant located in downtown Palm Springs. Every single thing we had was made to perfection. With unique flavors & presentation. Every bite was so good. The service was wonderful. Our waiter Faro answered every question we had. I am so looking forward to coming back next time we're in town.

AMAZING!!! The food was delicious, the staff were great and knowledgeable. The owners are kind. It's a small cute area. I made the reservation during Coachella weekend 1 and had no issues. I will definitely be back! I heard the brunch is pretty amazing too!

Best new restaurant in Palm Springs! The proprietors are skilled at hospitality and cuisine. It's a cozy, inviting space to spend some time. We split the Summer Burrata with grilled sourdough, peaches and pesto. It has a nice spicy kick from the bread, deliciously fresh and flavorful. I chose the Raviolone pasta and was impressed with its simplicity but outstanding variety of flavors and textures. The vegetable demi-glace brings everything together perfectly. For dessert we split the Panna Cotta which was light, creamy, fresh and delicious. It's lovely and a great way to wrap up a meal. Locals - stop in and support these guys before it's so popular that you can't get in!

Very nice, romantic spot kinda hidden from the main P.S scene. Reservations for dinner are probably a must because they only have about 10 tables which is great because they really focus on the customers dining experience. Food was 10/10. You must try the grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings because they are so unique and delicious. I wish we got two orders! The tuna crudo was fresh and flavorful. We also shared the filet and the Vietnamese style bolognese which was also delicious. Finished with the Thai tea tree leches, another unique spin on a classic dessert. Nice wine list. Our waitress was great and had nice recommendations. Can't wait to visit again to try more of their food. They have a seasonal menu, too!

Went for brunch the day after coachella. We had the shakshuka and the dulce de leche french toast. The shakshuka was spicier than we imagined for something found in downtown palm springs lol but so delicious. The french toast is officially my favorite french toast dish that I've ever had! Wish we had time to try dinner here. Next time!

We had a lovely dinner here last night to celebrate our anniversary! Good food and superb service from Ferro who was the best!! Curry fresh fish melted in our mouth and was delicious. Highly recommend!! Cute little romantic spot!!

Tucked inside a 1936 Spanish bungalow draped in bougainvillea, Ash & Vine arrives with something Palm Springs has been starving for: a character-driven, soul-forward kitchen where every plate, every gesture, every moment is crafted with intention. It's the rare opening that doesn't just add to the dining scene, it energizes it. Built by a trio of friends who cut their teeth in celebrated kitchens across the globe, Ash & Vine brings their sharpened skill set home, infusing the desert with a point of view that's both elevated and unmistakably personal. The result is a restaurant that feels simultaneously lived-in and revelatory, like a secret you can't wait to share. Service here doesn't simply move, it jetés. From the first welcome at the host stand to the server's warm table-side guidance, to the manager and chef stepping in with stories of inspiration, sourcing, and technique, the experience becomes a kind of performance, polished yet human, choreographed and energetic. Questions are encouraged. Curiosity is rewarded. Hospitality feels like a conversation, not a script. And the food? It dances. Concepts, ingredients, and craft intertwine with a kind of unselfconscious grace: bold flavors (Wasabi) balanced with delicate touches, familiar comforts (Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup) reimagined through a chef's lens, plates that celebrate both discipline and play. This is a kitchen with temp and a pulse, measured, confident, thrilling. While the interior glows with the warmth of a well-loved home, my preferred seat, weather allowing, of course, is outdoors. The bougainvillea rustles, the mountains fade into dusk, and the entire experience sharpens into something transportive. There's magic in dining alfresco here: a sense that the night, the meal, and the company have all been choreographed just for you. Ash & Vine isn't just a kitchen. It's where creativity and hospitality take the spotlight, and where you're treated like you belong in the front row.

Standouts included the tamarind martini, which was exceptional--smooth, flavorful, and dangerously drinkable (I had a few, and soon my friends were ordering them too). Not a shopping style I prefer, but I get why they do it. We picked our sticks. Had a seat in a leather wingback chair. We were asked about our cut. The cigars were brought to us. Handed and lit. Beverages were ordered. We sat with a sack of sandwiches, fully imagining a perfect lunch-beer, beer-cigar combo. Turns out California tobacco lounge laws and health codes had other plans. Outside food isn't allowed if they want to keep their indoor smoking exemption, so the staff had to politely shut down our dreams. Fair enough, lesson learned. Eat first, then smoke. Paid at the end. Overall pleasant experience and decent lounge. For the wine crowd, I did notice some genuinely nice bottles available. That said, if you're not a cigar person, this may be a "love it or leave it" atmosphere. Most people seem to find cigar smoke either rich and cozy or like sitting downwind of a smoky campfire wearing a wool sweater. If you fall into the second category, you may want to grab your wine elsewhere.
