My first time here and it was great. Of course it happened to be the same time stagecoach was going on. I've seen this place a couple of weeks ago but noticed that it's only open till 3. It's on the corner of a little strip with a few other restaurants. Right next door to a Thai restaurant that I've been to before. There's parking in the back and along the side but if you don't mind walking a bit, there's a covered parking structure around the corner. There was already a line forming when we arrived sunday afternoon. Checked in with the hostess which whom she was the sweetest and very friendly. Put your name down and phone number and you'll get a text when the table was ready. They have a little seating area to the side where you could wait but we just ended up walking around till our table was ready. It was maybe 10,15 minutes wait when we got texted. The restaurant isn't that big with a small covered patio out front and some seating inside. There's a bar counter that I think you can sit as well which looks out to the kitchen. Menu was pretty impressive with brunch. Everything actually looked good on paper and even better when plates were being brought out. We started off with a bottle of the bubble and some juices. Found out that each juice added was 2.00. They should at least added a juice to it, but oh well. They did have some drinks deals which you should utilize. Brunch, the hangover omelette with 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, bell peppers, Serrano topped with green onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese. Comes with a side of toast or English muffins and either tots, potatoes, salad or fruits. And the Florentine omelette, vegetarian. 3 eggs with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta cheese and avocado. Also comes with sides of toast and potatoes. The meal was great. The table next to us had orders some dishes that we were thinking about and from the looks of it, it's a must next time. I was looking for a new brunch spot to try and was recommended Brunch 101. At first glance, the space felt pretty small, and I was worried it might get overcrowded. I went with my two sisters and my niece, and we were greeted and seated at a table near the entrance by the door facing the street. The overall look and vibe were a bit lacking for me. I can see this place being packed on the weekends! Thankfully I went on a Friday morning while all the suckers were at work! First off parking a little weird but worth it. The outside patio had some nice ambiance with the decor and on a coolish 70s winter morning it was perfect. We opted for an inside seat though because the road construction outside was a little noisy. The place was a 10/10 after they brought out the iced coffee with frozen coffee ice cubes! Let's go no dilution here! The menu was stacked with options to satisfy anyone's hunger, they were also incredible accommodating on requests making it spot on for everyone's delight. Decided to give this place a try for brunch before heading back to LA and we enjoyed it. The inside is a little small but they also have outside seating to accommodate. It would just suck if it was cold outside. We orderee the Breakfast Sandy, Biscuits & Gravy Sliders, and Packcakes with Bacon. The Breakfast Sandy was pretty good and the tator tots they serve with it are seasoned really well. The Biscuits & Gravy Sliders were good but I think the gravy can use a little more seasoning and the bacon jam would be a hit inside of the slider, rather than on the side. The pancakes were fluffy and tasted pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place and will come back for future Palm Springs visits. Came across this gem upon checking out of our resort for the Memorial Day weekend. Parking was a little confusing; however, there was some street parking available as well as some spots on the other side in what appeared to be a small strip mall. There was a wait for inside seating; however, we opted to dine on the patio. Our server was the owner himself (Oscar) & he was amazing! I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles (so delish and homemade) and BFF ordered a more traditional breakfast (cannot remember) with home fries. We were seated in the patio, it felt fresh because of the water mist but I didn't like how it would all come down on the drinks/food.. does this not bother anyone else? Idk, I'm a germaphobe. We popped in during Cathedral City pride weekend (every March) for our first meal of the day. We had about a 15 minute wait after putting our names down. They have a makeshift entrance patio area with lots of cool outdoor style furniture along with their hour and menu posted on the wooden fence door just before the start of their outdoor seating area. We ran into some of my boyfriend's friends while waiting and funny enough we ended up with their exact table once they finished their meal. Having one of the few tall tables outside was pretty nice as the outdoor seating is spacious and feels abundant. The indoor seating is nice as well though very limited, including in their bar area, but they make it work and you definitely will want to enjoy the B101 experience. Our server (I believe Oscar) was really attentive, like a one man show! He got our orders in, kept our glasses full and was very all brunch business from start to finish. We had the Smash Avo Benny with a side of fruit for him and the Soyrizo & Potato Tacos with a side salad for me to start. The food is so rich and flavorful... Like I couldn't believe the taste of delicious blends on my palate. We loved every bite and were still craving a bit more, so we split an order of Almond (pan)cakes. Ten out of ten for sure! The cool thing about Brunch 101 besides Brunch 101 is the abundance of vegetarian and vegan friendly options, clearly marked on their menu. They clearly are a master of all types of dishes for all brunchers. Drinks are plentiful from spiked things (Bloody Marys + Irish Coffees), to bubbles/sparkling to mocktails, juices, misomas (including flights), to hot coffees, teas, brews, beers, seltzers and all sorts of beveragings. My wife and I had the chance to dine here on our final full day vacationing in Palm Springs for Spring Break. Our waiter Oscar was nice and very attentive. He immediately serviced us, met our drink and food needs. When I had an issue with my food, he met that with a smile and corrected the issue with no complaints. We enjoyed our brunch. My wife had the Hangover Omelet and potatoes (She loved it) and I had the Steak and eggs with a side of bacon (I decided to remove the steak due to it being overcooked), but everything else was good. They make their own strawberry jam and I believe they make their salad dressing. If they don't, it was most certainly delicious wherever they buy it from. First time coming to this brunch spot. I was excited coming here after looking at all the reviews on yelp. I took my sister out to treat her for brunch. We asked to be seated outside and were given a two seat high top. I asked nicely to the host, if I may have the other two tables available that were four seats. She commented if I wanted to be seated inside and I asked nicely no that I would prefer outside. She commented of holding the four seat table for another guest and would check in with her manager and shortly after we were seated in the table at the back. We were seated for 10-15 minutes without anyone asking us for beverages and/or checking in on us. During our time waiting, we've seen two customer couples being checked on regularly each time ignoring us and giving their back to us. This happened 3 separate instances during our time waiting with only water that was given right when we entered. The manager came and asked if we have been helped and we said, "No". He shocked his head in disbelief and assisted us in taking our beverage and food order. I still had no idea who our waiter/waitress was till after receiving our meal from another staff. We had to ask the waitress, tan skin with green-brown eyes mid-age woman for more coffee. Because each time she would come to our section, she would check in and ask the customers around us if they needed anything but continued to act as if we weren't there and walked away without asking or check in on us. Towards the ends when we were on our first champagne (special $10 with a mimosa and two extra refills), she then had the audacity to use the incorrect word verbiage of "you will be kicked out" due to the hour policy. That's when I knew my observation with how we were treated was valid in that she was only treating her customer around us (who were white) in giving them attention and my sister and I (Hispanic) ignoring us. I asked the manager as he approached the table if we were being kicked out and he said no and that we can stay there. Shortly after, the waitress returned and asked us what he had told us. My sister told the waitress that we weren't getting "kicked out" and she immediately retracted her statement. We told her we didn't mind moving to the bar to be mindful of other guests needing a table. The waitress made a snarky response of saying no and the bar was all full. So we stayed. Not even two minutes later, the host came and told us to move to the bar due to their being a waitlist (hence tables were still available) and all of a sudden there was room at the bar. Once inside, we enjoyed the last of our mimosa, and when it came down to pay, we waited 10-15 minutes for the waitress to take our tab, she never came. So we walked to the host to Pay. The host provided my tab to our waitress who rolled her eyes and sighed and made a comment of being "razzled". I looked at her and inquired what she was "razzled" about, and she made an excuse of there being a lot of people, but when I looked around at the restaurant I saw that it was a normal pace for a Sunday. I've not had this experience in my time visiting Palm Springs with friends and family. I was disappointed on the lack of customer service and disrespect from another human being from this waitress. I'm not one without leaving a tip when I go out to eat. I gave my tip to the staff member who was the most attentive and accommodating to my sister and I at our brunch stay, the bus boy. My only qualm was the potatoes. I thought they be breakfast potatoes since they were made with green pepper but they were stingy with the green peppers so the potatoes were really fries. Even their potatos were french fries cut in half & covered in Cajun seasoning. I'm sensitive to spicey so it wasn't good for me to have all that when the menu didn't even specify that. Enjoyed our first time at Brunch 101 except for the noise level as we were seated outside on their patio. Indoor seating is so limited and we didn't realize how much the noise would affect us. They obscure the view, so to speak, on Rt. 111 so it seems cozy but the traffic noise requires volume. Even our waiter had to stand next to one in our party who he couldn't hear as he took his order and we were at a table for four. The portions are a good size and the food is tasty. I had Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a delicious mix of slaw, melted cheese and Sriracha ranch that was sooo delicious . The fries that came as a side dish were nicely seasoned and perfectly crisp on the outside with a tender middle. My friends ordered one each of the taco offerings but the green house salsa was a bit too hot for one of our party. There was no alternative they could replace it with. They also weren't fans of the side dish cilantro black beans with queso. But we all have individual preferences. The service was good and the prices were fair for what we ordered.
