This was our second time here and it was great. Sunday brunch is always a thing we try to maintain. Gives us the chance to go someplace new but I tend to return to places that made a lasting impression. This place being one of them. We arrived close to 1 in the afternoon. They open till 3 so we still had some time. Checked in with the hostess which for indoor seating it would be about 25 minutes or so for a table. They did have open tables available on the patio which that was the only option at the moment. Mind you even with the misters going on and the shade covering, I was sticking to my clothes. I do love the heat but, it was too hot and humid and kind of unbearable to enjoy a meal. Instead, went back inside to put our name down for a table inside. Luckily, there was an open one available which we were offered. Made a huge difference with the patio. It was the table by the door so whenever the door opened, you still felt the hot air. Anyways, beats eating outside. Norma was our waitress which she was amazing and very sweet. Friendly which is alway a plus anywhere you go. Menu, they have a good selection for breakfast as well as specialty plates for lunch. Sandwiches, salads and other amazing items. As it was Sunday brunch, I do love a good breakfast. We started off with some mimosas. They offer both the bottle or by the glass. Both selections you would need to add orange juice which is an additional fee. Last time we went with the bottle and a carafe of orange juice. Still decent for 25.00 and additional fee for the juice. But this time we opted for the glass which comes out to 10.00 and it comes with two refills. Additional 2.00 for the orange juice. So basically 3 glass for 10.00 which you can't beat. Food, the hangover omelette. I enjoyed it last time that it was ordered again. 3 egg omelette with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper, serrano peppers and topped with green onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese. That's come with your choice of toast and a side which their tots are alway good. Also a side order of pancakes, 1 piece. Then the steak caprese omelette. That was a first time trying it and it was great. 3 egg with cubes new your steak, fresh spinach, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, melted mozzarella and their house made pesto. Also comes with your choice of bread and a side. Went with the fruit which was blueberries, a couple of grapes and pineapple chunks. Not the prettiest selection but it'll do. Both omelette was tasty and plentiful. Their food was good and we enjoyed everything. Omelette was flavorful which is a plus. Also can't go wrong with the tater tots. Their other items looked amazing from all the dishes being brought out. Definitely need to try it next time. Plus you can't beat the mimosas deal for 10.00. Service was great and Norma took very good care of us. The place isn't that big. It's probably the same amount of seating inside and outside. Inside also has bar seating that looks into the kitchen. But with the heatwave that's going on. Kind of expected for the summer but outside seating could be a little uncomfortable even with the mister spraying. Inside could be a little wait but I would recommend it as it'll be more comfortable with your meal. Until next time. read more

For our brunch while on a desert trip, we checked out this place as the menu seemed fun, parking seemed friendly, and overall had the vibe we enjoy. Our overall experience was lacking in almost every way. We were seated outside, and this was bad. The only available table was on the side by the street, and we were in full blast range for the wind and the sound of their outdoor AC. I can't put it to words how this impacted our overall meal, and the immediate regret we felt. Their indoor seating was also not going to be possible for us because of just how loud it was. Our server took our food and drink order right away, but she never checked in on us after the drop off. I ordered the Irish iced coffee, looking forward to getting a nice treat drink. I ended up getting just a regular iced coffee, and unfortunately I had no chance to try and flag anyone down to get this sorted out since we were never checked on once the items were delivered. This includes the waters we ordered for the table as well. The only good thing about this was that I was only charged for an iced coffee. The eggs Benedict were simply "ok" and rather unremarkable. They arrived just above room temperature and while they weren't bad, they weren't great either. The sandwich was fine, but the home fries were over seasoned by far and had way too much salt. Overall, this was a disappointing brunch. Unless they really look into the quality of the food, the lack of table service, and their terrible side dining area by their outdoor AC, I can say we have no plans on returning. read more

When I visit my friends who live in Rancho Mirage, we commonly go to Sherman's for brunch but fearing a long wait, we decided to come to Brunch 101 today and it was an excellent decision. Easy parking. Welcoming staff asking if we wanted to sit inside or in the patio. Given the heat we desired inside, but it would've been a 25 minute wait and since we were in a bit of a rush, we decided to sit in the patio, which given the water misters made it tolerable. There were plenty of open seats for the four of us; my two local friends love this place already and me and my friend enjoyed our meals. I had the pork belly hash and she had the Chilaquiles both excellent dishes. The patio was a nice comfortable place for us to hang out. We did not have any issues although the one table by the entryway was a bit breezy. We did move to another table. All in all, a nice go to place for brunch. read more

I was looking for a new brunch spot to try and was recommended Brunch 101. At first glance, the space felt pretty small, and I was worried it might get overcrowded. I went with my two sisters and my niece, and we were greeted and seated at a table near the entrance by the door facing the street. The overall look and vibe were a bit lacking for me. Our server was great--very attentive and friendly. As for the food, my sandwich was just okay, but the fries and the hibiscus mimosa were a solid 10/10. I can see this place being packed on the weekends! Thankfully I went on a Friday morning while all the suckers were at work! First off parking a little weird but worth it. The outside patio had some nice ambiance with the decor and on a coolish 70s winter morning it was perfect. We opted for an inside seat though because the road construction outside was a little noisy. The place was a 10/10 after they brought out the iced coffee with frozen coffee ice cubes! Let's go no dilution here! The menu was stacked with options to satisfy anyone's hunger, they were also incredible accommodating on requests making it spot on for everyone's delight. The food was delicious, the chorizo on the Benedict was packed full of flavor and wasn't just a sloppy mess of grease! Came across this gem upon checking out of our resort for the Memorial Day weekend. Parking was a little confusing; however, there was some street parking available as well as some spots on the other side in what appeared to be a small strip mall. There was a wait for inside seating; however, we opted to dine on the patio. Our server was the owner himself (Oscar) & he was amazing! I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles (so delish and homemade) and BFF ordered a more traditional breakfast (cannot remember) with home fries. Came here for brunch on a Sunday, the wait wasn't so bad, only about 10-15min. We were seated in the patio, it felt fresh because of the water mist but I didn't like how it would all come down on the drinks/food.. does this not bother anyone else? Idk, I'm a germaphobe. Service was 9/10 My daughter got the breakfast croissant and that was a 9/10 My son got the breakfast burger and he liked it 10/10 My brother got the French toast, 10/10 I got the chilaquiles and that was a 3/10, I have to remind myself to always ask what time of sauce/chile they use for the chilaquiles. Authentic red chilaquiles use red guajillo chiles. These chilaquiles had salsa, not the authentic red sauce. I do not like the salsa ones!!! The plate was huge, enough to feed 3 people. Decided to give this place a try for brunch before heading back to LA and we enjoyed it. The inside is a little small but they also have outside seating to accommodate. It would just suck if it was cold outside. We orderee the Breakfast Sandy, Biscuits & Gravy Sliders, and Packcakes with Bacon. The Breakfast Sandy was pretty good and the tator tots they serve with it are seasoned really well. The Biscuits & Gravy Sliders were good but I think the gravy can use a little more seasoning and the bacon jam would be a hit inside of the slider, rather than on the side. The pancakes were fluffy and tasted pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place and will come back for future Palm Springs visits. One of the cool things about this place is you can sometimes see the owns there helping with the workload, serving and taking care of customers. read more

Absolutely terrible service. From the moment our server, Oscar, first approached our table, we immediately felt unwelcome. There was no proper greeting or introduction--he simply came up to us and said, "What do you want?" That interaction set the tone for the rest of our experience. Throughout our meal, Oscar was disrespectful and extremely inattentive. He repeatedly bumped into my husband's chair without once saying "excuse me" or offering an apology. My husband sat with an empty drink for practically the entire meal, and Oscar never bothered to offer a refill or properly check on us. What made the situation even more frustrating was that this didn't seem to be an isolated incident with just our table. We noticed that he was also inattentive to multiple other customers who had been there before us. At the same time, we could see him being attentive to other tables around us, which made the inconsistency in his service even more noticeable and frustrating. The service became so bad that we decided to cut our evening short and leave before we even finished our food. When we asked to take our unfinished food to go, we were given tiny to-go bags that didn't even properly fit our food. Ironically, the one time Oscar suddenly became very attentive was when it was time to collect our money. Apparently, getting our payment deserved immediate attention, but actually providing basic service throughout our meal did not. We rarely leave terrible reviews. Having worked in the service industry ourselves, we understand how demanding the job can be, and we normally prefer to uplift and support servers. But this was genuinely some of the worst service we have ever experienced. The food may be good, but what is the point of good food when the service makes customers feel ignored and unwelcome? We left disappointed, frustrated, and angry with the entire experience. Based on the service we received and witnessed, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this place. Management seriously needs to address the quality and consistency of the service being provided. read more

Brunch is in session! Welcome to Brunch 101 a full course exploration of all things b(reakfast) added to l(unch) equals, "The socially acceptable excuse for morning drinking." We popped in during Cathedral City pride weekend (every March) for our first meal of the day. We had about a 15 minute wait after putting our names down. They have a makeshift entrance patio area with lots of cool outdoor style furniture along with their hour and menu posted on the wooden fence door just before the start of their outdoor seating area. We ran into some of my boyfriend's friends while waiting and funny enough we ended up with their exact table once they finished their meal. Having one of the few tall tables outside was pretty nice as the outdoor seating is spacious and feels abundant. The indoor seating is nice as well though very limited, including in their bar area, but they make it work and you definitely will want to enjoy the B101 experience. Our server (I believe Oscar) was really attentive, like a one man show! He got our orders in, kept our glasses full and was very all brunch business from start to finish. We had the Smash Avo Benny with a side of fruit for him and the Soyrizo & Potato Tacos with a side salad for me to start. The food is so rich and flavorful... Like I couldn't believe the taste of delicious blends on my palate. We loved every bite and were still craving a bit more, so we split an order of Almond (pan)cakes. Ten out of ten for sure! The cool thing about Brunch 101 besides Brunch 101 is the abundance of vegetarian and vegan friendly options, clearly marked on their menu. They clearly are a master of all types of dishes for all brunchers. Drinks are plentiful from spiked things (Bloody Marys + Irish Coffees), to bubbles/sparkling to mocktails, juices, misomas (including flights), to hot coffees, teas, brews, beers, seltzers and all sorts of beveragings. It's family friendly, couple friendly, friend group friendly, date friendly, pup friendly, you friendly and even Wi-Fi friendly. Open to all with gender neutral bathrooms and shared parking at the Cathedral City Town Square/Center plaza near cool things like the Mary Pickford is D Place theater, The Roost Lounge and Monster Shakes to name a few. Open 9am to 3pm on weekends and 9am until 2pm on weekdays, at the corner of Monty Hall Drive/(East) Palm Canyon Drive. My wife and I had the chance to dine here on our final full day vacationing in Palm Springs for Spring Break. Our waiter Oscar was nice and very attentive. He immediately serviced us, met our drink and food needs. When I had an issue with my food, he met that with a smile and corrected the issue with no complaints. We enjoyed our brunch. My wife had the Hangover Omelet and potatoes (She loved it) and I had the Steak and eggs with a side of bacon (I decided to remove the steak due to it being overcooked), but everything else was good. They make their own strawberry jam and I believe they make their salad dressing. If they don't, it was most certainly delicious wherever they buy it from. My wife had the frozen mango margarita and I had the guava and champagne drink. Both equally good. We both reccomend this spot. read more

Very good service. It was no wait for Saturday brunch but there were plenty of people there. The guava mocktail was delicious and so was the eggs Benedict (avocado and bell pepper). My only qualm was the potatoes. I thought they be breakfast potatoes since they were made with green pepper but they were stingy with the green peppers so the potatoes were really fries. I would pass on them. And get something else. They really should include hash browns. read more

Food was tasty as I'm always looking for different variations of Eggs Benedict which I found here. Decent portions for the price as well. Only thing lacking for taste was the coffee. Watered down. Unfortunately we had to send back the first cup of coffee as that's lipstick served on the cup that we didn't order. Enough that we were surprised it wasn't noticed. And the water glass had things stuck in it as well. So maybe there's something wrong with their dishwasher. read more
