I was looking for a new brunch spot to try and was recommended Brunch 101. At first glance, the space felt pretty small, and I was worried it might get overcrowded. I went with my two sisters and my niece, and we were greeted and seated at a table near the entrance by the door facing the street. The overall look and vibe were a bit lacking for me. Our server was great--very attentive and friendly. As for the food, my sandwich was just okay, but the fries and the hibiscus mimosa were a solid 10/10. Overall, it was a decent experience, but probably a one-time visit for me.
Went to hike the canyon and looking for a good spot to eat brunch and after looking at the pictures and reviews decided to come here. What a great decision to go - the food was delicious- that green salad was so amazing. But both main dishes were delicious. Plenty of parking, service was excellent- Norma was our waitress. They had outdoor and inside seating options but I'm not use to the heat so we sat ínside. Very diverse crowd and I will definitely will be back.
We had no reservation got seated pretty quick. Great service. Food was good and so was my bloody mary
Brunch 101 definitely owns its name. Walked in and the owner greeted us right away--hospitality here is on another level. Food was great, portions were solid, and pricing was fair. Honestly, it stands out compared to most local brunch spots. Definitely coming back.
I was excited to try a new breakfast place with my family today and everything looks so good on the menu but when it showed up, it was a different story. I had the Class eggs Benedict. My partner had avocado smash Benedict. Both of ours were horribly cooked. One of my poached eggs didn't even have a yolk. All the fries, tater tots and potatoes were over salted covered in Cajun seasoning. We couldn't even eat more than 1 bite.. then my son found a small hair attached to his sausage so I took his food away when we told the server that we did not like any of the meals that it was very salty and we only took maybe one or two bites each they just brought the check didn't apologize or anything. I paid it and still tipped properly, but I will never be returning to this establishment.. I didn't complain to get free food. I complained to let them know that we couldn't even enjoy a single bite of any of our food and I still ended up spending $60. I would not recommend this place or if you do go tell them no salt or light salt on your potatoes of any kind. We had three options of potatoes, fries, tater tots, and the breakfast potatoes and all three were very very saturated in Cajun flavoring. I was very upset especially because my son just had Swim Class and he was very hungry and we had to end up just going through a jack in the box drive-through.
I can see this place being packed on the weekends! Thankfully I went on a Friday morning while all the suckers were at work! First off parking a little weird but worth it. The outside patio had some nice ambiance with the decor and on a coolish 70s winter morning it was perfect. We opted for an inside seat though because the road construction outside was a little noisy. The place was a 10/10 after they brought out the iced coffee with frozen coffee ice cubes! Let's go no dilution here! The menu was stacked with options to satisfy anyone's hunger, they were also incredible accommodating on requests making it spot on for everyone's delight. The food was delicious, the chorizo on the Benedict was packed full of flavor and wasn't just a sloppy mess of grease! Hands down I'll be back and after seeing the different nacho varieties coming out of the kitchen imma get me nachos next trip!!
When I come to Palm Springs, I want brunch. We came here on our second day and I had my second Benedict dish in a row. I got the smoked salmon toast that was like Eggs Benedict meets avocado toast with lox. Amazing. I ate it all. The mimosa flight was great too, my favorite was the mango pineapple. Service was great too, and sitting outside was lovely.
Found this place on our drive back from Indian Wells and decided to stop by for a bite. It has a nice, casual brunchy vibe with a solid selection of classic brunch fare -- sweet dishes, egg-based plates, and a few sandwich/lunch options. I went with the chilaquiles. The portion was generous and definitely didn't break the bank. That said, the chip-to-topping ratio was a bit off -- I found myself with a pile of chips at the end and would've loved a bit more egg and maybe some avocado to round it out. The onions were slightly undercooked for my taste, but the red sauce, cotija cheese, and pickled onions were all flavorful and tasty. My sister ordered the omelette, which I only took a bite of, but it tasted decent overall. The crispy potatoes on the side were a standout -- golden, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Definitely ask for their hot sauce or tomatillo sauce on the side; both elevate the dish nicely. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. A solid, affordable brunch spot if you're passing through.
Came across this gem upon checking out of our resort for the Memorial Day weekend. Parking was a little confusing; however, there was some street parking available as well as some spots on the other side in what appeared to be a small strip mall. There was a wait for inside seating; however, we opted to dine on the patio. Our server was the owner himself (Oscar) & he was amazing! I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles (so delish and homemade) and BFF ordered a more traditional breakfast (cannot remember) with home fries. Prices are about on par with other local establishments. Definitely a must try when in the area and I will definitely be back!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday, the wait wasn't so bad, only about 10-15min. We were seated in the patio, it felt fresh because of the water mist but I didn't like how it would all come down on the drinks/food.. does this not bother anyone else? Idk, I'm a germaphobe. Service was 9/10 My daughter got the breakfast croissant and that was a 9/10 My son got the breakfast burger and he liked it 10/10 My brother got the French toast, 10/10 I got the chilaquiles and that was a 3/10, I have to remind myself to always ask what time of sauce/chile they use for the chilaquiles. Authentic red chilaquiles use red guajillo chiles. These chilaquiles had salsa, not the authentic red sauce. I do not like the salsa ones!!! The plate was huge, enough to feed 3 people. My boyfriend got the Bloody Mary and did not like it, 3/10. Also got the steak and eggs and he did enjoy that. Not sure I will be back when I'm in the area again.
Great breakfast place. We were in town for a graduation and looking for a good place for breakfast. Brunch 101 popped up on our Yelp App. Well we were not disappointed. Wait time was minimal, the place looked busy and we thought that we were going to wait for a long time. Not at all, took about 20 minutes. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was amazing, flavors and portions were on point. You have to try the biscuits and gravy. Ambiance felt like we were at home. They have couches for seats. We will defiantly be back when we're back in town.
Decided to give this place a try for brunch before heading back to LA and we enjoyed it. The inside is a little small but they also have outside seating to accommodate. It would just suck if it was cold outside. We orderee the Breakfast Sandy, Biscuits & Gravy Sliders, and Packcakes with Bacon. The Breakfast Sandy was pretty good and the tator tots they serve with it are seasoned really well. The Biscuits & Gravy Sliders were good but I think the gravy can use a little more seasoning and the bacon jam would be a hit inside of the slider, rather than on the side. The pancakes were fluffy and tasted pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place and will come back for future Palm Springs visits. One of the cool things about this place is you can sometimes see the owns there helping with the workload, serving and taking care of customers.
I didn't think I would like this place as much as I did. We were in the mood for brunch and when you Google brunch in Palm Springs this came up first. We sat at the counter watching the chefs do their work and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and service was great too. Didn't have to wait too long for the table/counter either. I'd come back and actually request the counter again.
Even during the week this place gets pretty busy. That always means one thing, they must be good. We stopped by Monday morning not too long after they opened. Patio seating was pretty much all opened when we arrived which the inside was pretty much utilized. We had a big group which they could seat us right away. The place outside did pick up pretty fast after we got seated. Even for a place that's only open for a limited time daily, it does gets a good crowd. Service is alway great when we visit. From the hostess to the waiter and all the staff. Also the main attraction, the food. I think we were pretty much a little bit off on the alcohol from the night before...lol... But food, that's what it's all about. They do have a really good menu for breakfast and brunch. If breakfast is what you're carving, there's a good amount of dishes. Same as lunches. A Bloody Mary was ordered and that was quite nice. Accompanied by a slice of bacon and the trimmings, olives, peppercini and gherkin. As for food, a bit of everything was ordered. Breakfast comes with whatever you order and a side of something with toast. The steak omelette was quite nice with a good amount of chunks of steaks. That was served with whatever side which tater tots was a win win and toast. Also a slice of pancakes on the sides. The salmon toast with eggs any style was nice too. All their breakfast is quite tasty and pretty filling. Each meals we've had here has alway been great. All the times we've been, it's always been breakfast that was had. Keep saying that we need to try their lunch items as it sounds good but tend to always lean toward breakfast. Give us another reason to come back. read more
For our brunch while on a desert trip, we checked out this place as the menu seemed fun, parking seemed friendly, and overall had the vibe we enjoy. Our overall experience was lacking in almost every way. We were seated outside, and this was bad. The only available table was on the side by the street, and we were in full blast range for the wind and the sound of their outdoor AC. I can't put it to words how this impacted our overall meal, and the immediate regret we felt. Their indoor seating was also not going to be possible for us because of just how loud it was. Our server took our food and drink order right away, but she never checked in on us after the drop off. I ordered the Irish iced coffee, looking forward to getting a nice treat drink. I ended up getting just a regular iced coffee, and unfortunately I had no chance to try and flag anyone down to get this sorted out since we were never checked on once the items were delivered. This includes the waters we ordered for the table as well. The only good thing about this was that I was only charged for an iced coffee. The eggs Benedict were simply "ok" and rather unremarkable. They arrived just above room temperature and while they weren't bad, they weren't great either. The sandwich was fine, but the home fries were over seasoned by far and had way too much salt. Overall, this was a disappointing brunch. Unless they really look into the quality of the food, the lack of table service, and their terrible side dining area by their outdoor AC, I can say we have no plans on returning. read more

The chilaquiles with steak were delicious. Just perfect, crunchy and not too spicy. The Cinnamon French toast, also delicious, with a slight crunch. The mimosa refill choice is perfect. 3 mimosas for $10 with delicious champagne. Indoor/Outdoor, petite seating. Seating was fast and we arrived around 10:30am, but I can see it getting busy. Great service. read more

It was Memorial Day and busy but we got seated when promised. We shared a flight of mimosas, my favorite was the lavender. He had the brioche burger and it was delicious, prepared perfectly with all the accoutrements. I ordered the Smoked Salmon toast and it was divine. The service was perfect, professional and warm. The ambiance is always nice, casual and comfortable! Highly recommend Brunch 101. I know I'll keep coming back! read more

Brunch is in session! Welcome to Brunch 101 a full course exploration of all things b(reakfast) added to l(unch) equals, "The socially acceptable excuse for morning drinking." We popped in during Cathedral City pride weekend (every March) for our first meal of the day. We had about a 15 minute wait after putting our names down. They have a makeshift entrance patio area with lots of cool outdoor style furniture along with their hour and menu posted on the wooden fence door just before the start of their outdoor seating area. We ran into some of my boyfriend's friends while waiting and funny enough we ended up with their exact table once they finished their meal. Having one of the few tall tables outside was pretty nice as the outdoor seating is spacious and feels abundant. The indoor seating is nice as well though very limited, including in their bar area, but they make it work and you definitely will want to enjoy the B101 experience. Our server (I believe Oscar) was really attentive, like a one man show! He got our orders in, kept our glasses full and was very all brunch business from start to finish. We had the Smash Avo Benny with a side of fruit for him and the Soyrizo & Potato Tacos with a side salad for me to start. The food is so rich and flavorful... Like I couldn't believe the taste of delicious blends on my palate. We loved every bite and were still craving a bit more, so we split an order of Almond (pan)cakes. Ten out of ten for sure! The cool thing about Brunch 101 besides Brunch 101 is the abundance of vegetarian and vegan friendly options, clearly marked on their menu. They clearly are a master of all types of dishes for all brunchers. Drinks are plentiful from spiked things (Bloody Marys + Irish Coffees), to bubbles/sparkling to mocktails, juices, misomas (including flights), to hot coffees, teas, brews, beers, seltzers and all sorts of beveragings. It's family friendly, couple friendly, friend group friendly, date friendly, pup friendly, you friendly and even Wi-Fi friendly. Open to all with gender neutral bathrooms and shared parking at the Cathedral City Town Square/Center plaza near cool things like the Mary Pickford is D Place theater, The Roost Lounge and Monster Shakes to name a few. Open 9am to 3pm on weekends and 9am until 2pm on weekdays, at the corner of Monty Hall Drive/(East) Palm Canyon Drive. Make this Coachella Valley and Cathedral City favorite the most important experience of the day ;) read more

My wife and I had the chance to dine here on our final full day vacationing in Palm Springs for Spring Break. Our waiter Oscar was nice and very attentive. He immediately serviced us, met our drink and food needs. When I had an issue with my food, he met that with a smile and corrected the issue with no complaints. We enjoyed our brunch. My wife had the Hangover Omelet and potatoes (She loved it) and I had the Steak and eggs with a side of bacon (I decided to remove the steak due to it being overcooked), but everything else was good. They make their own strawberry jam and I believe they make their salad dressing. If they don't, it was most certainly delicious wherever they buy it from. My wife had the frozen mango margarita and I had the guava and champagne drink. Both equally good. We both reccomend this spot. read more

So glad we waited. Food was amazing. I had the smashed avo Benedict and added bacon. So good. And the guava and bubbles was really good. My husband had the hangover omelet and said it was really good mine was too good to waste space to try his. I also had the house made salsa on mine which put it over the top. We got the mimosa flight but that wasn't a hit. Our friend also got the breakfast burger he said was really good. Highly recommend!!! The lavender mimosa tasted like bath soap so I wouldn't recommend that unless that's your thing. Would definitely recommend and go back!! read more

Very good service. It was no wait for Saturday brunch but there were plenty of people there. The guava mocktail was delicious and so was the eggs Benedict (avocado and bell pepper). My only qualm was the potatoes. I thought they be breakfast potatoes since they were made with green pepper but they were stingy with the green peppers so the potatoes were really fries. I would pass on them. And get something else. They really should include hash browns. read more

Food was tasty as I'm always looking for different variations of Eggs Benedict which I found here. Decent portions for the price as well. Only thing lacking for taste was the coffee. Watered down. Unfortunately we had to send back the first cup of coffee as that's lipstick served on the cup that we didn't order. Enough that we were surprised it wasn't noticed. And the water glass had things stuck in it as well. So maybe there's something wrong with their dishwasher. read more
