Ok BBQ. I had the BBQ Beef Ribs, coleslaw, beans, and cornbread. The meat falls off te bone, but it was lacking flavor; the BBQ sauce helped. The coleslaw was tasty, really liked the apples in it. Im in town for work and wanted BBQ so I fired up the Yelp App and searched. I came across this place, its bot far from my hotel and decided to give it a try. It is in a small strip mall, the place is homey the music is very eclectic. I got there when it was happy hour. So I had the Brisket sliders (2) and got them with their thin sliced potato chips with blue cheese. This was very good. I also got the Korean BBQ Ribs (2) with spicy Coleslaw. The slider where excellent brisket was moist and had lots of flavor. The ribs were sticky, tender and sweet with a slight kick. The coleslaw was spicy and for me it was addictive!!! OMG! The overall best BBQ I've ever had! This is based on our weekend getaway while in Palm Springs. The menu is extensive with so many options I wish I lived in the vicinity just so I can try everything I want off the menu. From their Meat plate section, we ordered the brisket and 1/2 rack of ribs priced at $38 it comes with two sides and cornbread. The ribs were fall off the bone clean! Perfectly juicy, fatty and really flavorful. The brisket was the same, both were slathered with bbq sauce. We opted for cornbread with potato salad and onion rings for the sides. It is rare that I love everything at a bbq joint. Everything we tried tasted great! Potato salad was just the way I like it. Onions rings were perfectly crisp. Corn bread drizzled with honey. It didn't have the crisp edges that I love but it was fluffy and tasty! Can't wait to go back, I'll be dreaming of the best bbq! We visited midday it was not super busy. Staff were friendly. Wow! After reading the reviews, I was excited for the ribs and to see if they really fell off the bone and wow, did it deliver. The meat fell right off the bone, not a piece left on it. The brisket amazing. The chicken amazing and also falls off the bone. So full from the meat that I couldn't eat the sides, but those were good too (corn was just ok, but who cares when the meat was so good). I would maybe ask for a little less bbq sauce smothered on top, but to each their own. I could only imagine this gives Texas a run for their money. read more

Bubba's has amazing BBQ in a bar/restaurant environment with both indoor and patio dining available. Private parking lot and usually easy to find a spot. DRINK: Full bar with beers on tap and bottle, wine, cocktails, and lots of flavored margaritas. $2 off all drinks during Happy Hour, which is daily from 3pm - 6pm. FOOD: I'm dropping my review score slightly based on our recent lunch experience. We ordered off their "Summer Specials" menu, and while my beer battered Fish & Chips ($18) were prepared perfectly crispy on the outside and flakey/moist on the inside and was served with an interesting coleslaw (tangy and fruity) and a delicious tartar sauce. My wife ordered the Prosciutto Pizza ($16) which was very lite on the prosciutto and heavy on the arugula and balsamic drizzle. We did mention this to Josephine, and she reached out to the manager, who graciously reduced the cost of the pizza by 50%. My wife commented that next time she'll stick to the BBQ. We stopped by around 3 pm on our way into Palm Desert for the weekend. There was plenty of seating in the bar and main dining area, and we were seated right away. The waitress quickly took our order, and we started with cocktails (a beer and a blackberry margarita) and a happy hour appetizer of Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls / Jalapeño Sausage Wontons. The egg rolls had pulled pork and were really tasty; the wontons were a little spicy for me but hubby couldn't taste the spice. We also got a happy hour appetizer of Sausage and Wings with Spicy Bourbon Sauce. The wings had a lot of meat and the sausage had good flavor. For the main course we got the Fish & Chips (they have an option with two pieces, which was still too big) and Fiery Pork Belly Sandwich. My hubby enjoyed trying all sauces on the sandwich, the fish was light and flaky, and the fries were super crispy. We had leftovers to take back to the condo. We wanted to get a dessert to go but they were out of all the to go options, so we had to eat the churro donuts there. They were delicious. If you're a sports fan, they have 4 TVs playing different sporting events. Only downside is they serve Pepsi, so that just means more cocktails. Delicious! I've booked marked this spot over the last few trips to town and finally got to stop in. The space is a small in size and big on flavor. With football on Thursday evening it was a hit with lots of people. I'm not an alcohol drinker and I'm loving how establishments have non alcoholic beers available because sometimes it just calls you to have a crisp cool non alcoholic beers with a burger. I got the western burger which was massive cooked to perfection and flavorful with the bbq sauce and two big ole onion rings. I got a side of garlic parm sidewinder fries to pair with it and it was amazing. I also couldn't leave without trying the beer chili and corn bread. The chili is hit the soul good on a cold day and the corn bread had great texture with the butter and honey blend on top to hit the taste bud. A great meal indeed. read more

My wife and I were regulars at the Palm Desert location. Then it closed! I knew there was a Cathedral City location, but never bothered to make the drive. Last night we had friends in from Seattle, and decided to put out the minimal effort it took to drive 12 miles to Cat City. Glad we did. This is still the best BBQ anywhere in So Cal, period. We had the brisket and pulled pork...both are melt in your mouth. They have a variety of different sauces and all are good in their own way. Sides, baked beans (they would rival my mother's recipe) and mac n' cheese. Both were terrific. Top it all with a roll and drawn butter, terrific. The only knock, and this is minor, were the cocktails. The Palm Desert location was known for their inexpensive, hand-crafted cocktails. Last night we had a watermelon margarita, cadillac margarita, old fashioned and a tap beer. They were all solid, not terrific, but decent, and priced a bit higher than the other location used to charge. I'll give you an example, a proper old fashioned has a dark cherry, such as a Luxardo. My drink came with three maraschino cherries....never! But, the food is soooooo good that I can get over a bartending snafu. This is a definite recommend to anyone wanting BBQ. read more

The Bourbon sauce is simply AMAZING! One of the best sauces I've ever had anywhere. I loved the sweet and savory mix with a subtle whiskey flavor. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and had a great smoky taste, but it was a little cold for my liking. The hot links were good too but I was hoping for a bit more heat. For the side, I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Apples in the coleslaw was a novel flavor for me but it worked really well and complemented the rest of the meal. Service was friendly and fast. Came here for Happy Hour because the place had great reviews. They have Happy Hour from 3-6 daily. We got there around 4 and there were only a few people at the bar. There is a good amount of seating- at the bar, indoor tables, and outdoor tables. We sat inside and the lower tables. It took a little while to get served and it seemed to be only one waitress/ bar tender when we got in and she was busy with the other customers. Once we were served she was nice and came by a few times to ask us how things were and to refill our water. We ordered off of the happy hour menu which might be why the food didn't live up to the reviews. We got wings, the chicken breast nuggets, and the chili cheese fries. The wings were pretty good but the flats were a bit small and it was mostly drums. The chili cheese fries were pretty good too with a nacho cheese sauce and regular bean chili. The fries were crispy and sidewinder so they were a cool shape. The chicken nuggets were highly disappointing. I was expecting at least real chicken breast. They were like McDonald's chicken nuggets with the mystery white meat. As I was looking at some of the happy hour options, I compared the prices to the regular menu and they weren't much of a difference. The portions were smaller so the price was less. It didn't really seem like a "happy hour deal." That being said, maybe happy hour was not the way to go here. I'd recommend trying the regular menu. read more

The meat was tender and the baked beans were delicious. The cornbread was crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. The Mac n cheese was a little disappointing because it wasn't cheesy enough. The churro donut is a MUST for dessert. It was sweet, buttery, and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. My son had a cheeseburger and it looked so good! Our server was very friendly. They seem to have a number of regular customers. Seeing how they are very comf9ortable talking to the server. I had picked up an order here to go during Covid and wasn't all that impressed. I decided to try it again and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the watermelon margarita. It was the perfect blend of semi sweet and refreshing. So refreshing I had almost half of it before remembering a photo for review! We asked Brandon our server what was good and he left us more confused (in a good way) than we started. He was on point though. I had the pulled pork and ribs and he highly recommend the cornbread as well and I'm so glad he did, it was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone. I never even had to get my fingers messy and pick them up. Just forked them off with ease. The pulled pork was flavorful with just a little bit of bbq sauce on them which I appreciate so I could add more if I want or just savor the taste of the seasoned pulled pork. The sides were so delish as well. Thick potato fries, mac & cheese, and the onion rings breaded and fried to perfection, all top notch. The space was nice and open. This is a new brewery that is located in LA quinta. It's in an older strip mall. There were plenty of parking spots. We came for take out on a Thursday night. They weren't too busy. Pick up was smooth. We were greeted right away. The Korean ribs were good. 3/5 The ordering process online was confusing. They have add one for free but you can't order all that's listed. The brisket sliders were OK for me. I couldn't fully taste it. The portion was anemic for me. 2/5. I loved the mango habanero sauce though. The corn was good. They added cheese and taking. The portion size was good. 4/5 The cran- apple salad was very good as well. They added chunks of grannies apples. The candied walnuts were out of this world. I don't even like walnuts.
