Okay... we just stopped at this amazing little restaurant in Indio on our way home from Arizona and I am so glad we did. I had the lamb burger and it was so tasty and cooked just right! My honey had the brisket sandwich, he is a foodie and very particular and he loved it! My daughter had the Philly sandwich and she said it had spices that gave it a very unique and very tasty flavor. My granddaughter had the basic cheeseburger and she loved it! She is also very particular about how her food is cooked and apparently according to her it was, perfect! I love that this is a family owned restaurant, husband and wife team. They were both super nice and very attentive. I am definitely stopping back in on my way from and to Arizona. This is a quite little eatery that has a wide variety of choices. We came on a Saturday morning and they had breakfast only Saturday mornings do they have breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito and it's made with their homemade sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese, and a cup of fruit. The homemade sausage was tasty. The eggs were fluffy. I just wish the potatoes were more crispy. We also got the skillet plate with two sunny side up eggs those were sautéed peppers onions potatoes, sausage, and the egg on top delicious. I came with a party of 12 and there were no tables that could fit our whole party so the workers immediately started moving tables so our whole party could fit. They got all of our orders right. I got my name engraved on a quesadilla some of the letters were wonky but you could tell it said my name. We decided to try this place with friends after seeing all the 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, at noon on a Friday they were out of the two meals we came to try (stuffed chicken and the pot roast). After the disappointment I decided to try the brisket and my man had a 22 bite burger. We both liked our meal ok, just disappointed that they didn't have the two plates we came for. We also ordered the salad to share, the dressing was a sweet strawberry type smoothie, thankfully it was on the side, so we ate the salad without dressing. Friendly service was a plus. read more

Being in Indio during pizza oven weather is always horrible - so I saw the reviews on this quaint little place I found in Yelp. The host was so kind and welcoming and carefully reviewed the menu with me. Just such a kind host. I settled on fried chicken (breaded chicken breast) and a side of their Spaghetti. The fried chicken was just above okay - it wasn't bad and frankly the host made it so pleasant. But their signature Spaghetti? I wanted to go back there and show them how to make a proper sauce. It wasn't horrible, just a long simmering tasteless tomato sauce. It looked good, but no salt, no basil and no flavor. This review is difficult. The staff are SO kind and helpful. The restaurant is clean and even has a cute little area for littles to be occupied. But the food that's where it fell off for me. The menu is a hodgepodge of options and since it was a hot day we opted for salads. Looking back at that photo of the featured grilled shrimp salad. That must have been a full salad as a half size to me more like a side salad size. And the strawberry dressing is SO sweet. Which paired with the pulled chicken aren't friends. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. Maybe they just need some menu food pairing help. read more

This is a walk up to the front counter and order. Then self seating. Ordered smoked beef brisket plate with mashed potatoes and full salad with shrimp. Beef brisket does not have the smokey look nor the taste. It was kinda disappointing. It felt like it was oven baked. I don't think we'll be coming back for this. Salad was just okay. Salad came with iceberg lettuce, arugula, dice tomatoes, black olives, and sliced red cabbage with a side strawberry vinaigrette dressing. It was a weird mixed salad and not a good way. read more

I live very close to this place I had not been by for some reason or another. Came here today with another couple of friends and the four of us enjoyed our very wonderful meal! It is small, quaint with an eclectic menu of a lot of really comfort foods. Everyone in our party enjoyed our meals, including a lamb burger, shrimp, burrito , Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and the roast beef meal. From the reviews, I am fairly certain that the woman that served us and took her orders was one of the owners and she was absolutely delightful. We got there at 11:30 and there were only six of us at the time but towards noon time things really took off! We all enjoyed our meals and absolutely have other things that we want to go back to try. Very clean and bright location - you order at the counter but they will bring it to your table. Unfortunately they were out of the first two things we tried to order, which seemed strange for 1:30pm on a Monday. Maybe 1/4-1/3 of the menu was unavailable, and it was a little like playing a guessing game to figure out what food they actually could make.
