Horrible and rude waitress. Drop the toast to the table, she/the waitress realized it and proceed to walked away. I had to call her back and request to change the toast to a new one, she did not apologize and give an attitude when informed. Not my first time here and not my last. I like this place a lot. The workers are so nice, even the cooks, they all work hard which is amazing. I was concerned as we parked in front of this dingy strip mall, I almost changed my mind about going in but I got a sudden burst of bravery and in we went. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger to share and let me tell you..... I was not disappointed. The food was decent. I got the vegetarian omelet and sourdough toast. You go up to the counter and order, and they bring you your food. There wasn't anything special about the food or presentation of the food, not much flavor in the dish that I ordered. Nothing fancy about the restaurant and our table wasn't completely cleaned off. We had to wipe it down ourselves and there was still a fork and knife off to the backside of the table from the previous patrons. The menudo, chorizo w/eggs & potatoes and everything breakfast burrito were all good. The restaurant is outdated but it's clean and has a very homey vibe. The prices are ok compared to the portions. The location could use some TLC. You have to order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. When we finished eating we didn't know if we had to pick up our plates or if they have a busser, so we cleaned our own table to be on the safe side. The food is not bad, however my omelet was dry because it was over cooked and a bit bland. My hash browns had a hair in them. They were very apologetic and did remake them. The staff takes care of their duties but it feels as though no one wants to be there. Not rude but not friendly. read more

Food was atrocious, service was even worse they asked how I'd like my steak cooked just to serve me an extremely overcooked one and when I told the server she said she'd let the kitchen know and get back to me but she never did so I asked what was going on with my steak and they said they could not make me a new one since I already ate some of the other one, when I had not even taken a single bite, cook even tried arguing with me that the steak was exactly how I asked saying it was pink in the middle when it was grey and had the texture of sand, restroom was disgusting and falling apart, save your money and appetite you'll get better service at the McDonalds down the street read more

This place has a lot to choose from. As we went in we saw today's specials, a small menu board and then looked up and we noticed the large menu board. The specials for today included an Ortega omelette, with hash browns and toast, which I ordered and I ask to have chorizo added to it. At first the cashier told me know they could not could not do that but then she asked the cook and he said yes. My hubby got the avocado bacon cheeseburger combo and he said the meat was very good. However his fries were barely warm, and quite brownish looking, and tasted like old fries. After ordering, we took a seat and the place has plenty of indoor seating, but it is older, but it is clean and the paint on the walls and booths arein good condition. I will definitely return to try something else on the menu as the breakfast was amazing and the portion size was pretty big. As for my hubby he will definitely try something different as well, but we might skip the fries. The hash browns were also cooked very well, just the right amount of crunchy outside to the soft inside and the omelette had a good flavor as well. Next time I'll probably ask for sour cream and salsa. We will definitely return when we are in the area. read more

This is my local favorite. It's not flashy or well known by tourists. It's done to earth, comfortable and the service is always good. Best Chili Verde around. Menudo is also very good and what a surprise to feature Albondigas. Very rare find and delicious, but not always available. Staff is friendly, restrooms clean and plenty of parking in front. Do yourself a favor and give this gem a try, you won't regret it. read more
