Food I ordered was to be spicy shrimp as noted on the menu but was mild which was disappointing

Update : I've probably been back to BOHEMIOS about 6 times since my last visit ! So far my fav plate is the MARISCADA . The Tacos (3 tacos with very generous steak and guacamole) And the barbacoa (meet stew on cubes with a very delicious , authentic flavor . ) Also must try the "CHILES GÜERITOS stuffed with shrimp , they are served so generously that literally that appetizer is enough to feel satisfied! read more

Well let's talk about the food first, I have to say food was average, I had the pulpo sarandeado and it was ok wouldn't recommend it, we also tried the tacos and I will say tacos were good but let's be honest we could find good tacos in many different places for a much better price, the shrimp pasta was good but nothing special. I thought food was a bit overpriced. Service- it was slow, not sure if they're short staffed or what happened, just took a long time and not very attentive, I will say when ever the waitress showed up she was very polite and easy to communicate. Ambiance- was not bad, we were there for the 5pm music not sure what happened they should up a tab late but once they got there music was good. Last but not least- we did notice the owner was there, we just didn't se much interaction of the owner with the clients, we would think the owner would be more attentive and have some kind of interaction with the clients. FYI- there is an extra charge if you pay with your card so bring cash. read more

The three of ate here for the first time because we are having a hard time finding a good sushi restaurant in Coachella Valley. I know they have Mexican food, but they also have sushi. They have a large and varied menu with everything ala carte. We were overall very pleased with the sushi however it takes some getting used to because the flavors are infused and somewhat unusual. We all loved the spicy edamame. Everything was on the spicy side which is ok with us. We loved our server , Irene and the atmosphere was lovely also. Irene told us the name of the restaurant is a song . We will be back to try the tacos and some of the other dishes that they have. I wish them luck as they are new. read more

Food: 3.5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 Bohemios Prime in Palm Desert is such a beautiful spot. From the moment we walked in, I loved the ambiance. It's dark, sultry, and aesthetically pleasing. The dramatic paintings on the dark walls paired with the lush emerald green seating create such a moody and inviting vibe. It definitely feels like a great place for a date night, a girls night, or just a nice night out. When we arrived, it wasn't too crowded, so we were seated and served quickly. The service was very friendly and efficient, which always sets the tone for the evening. We ordered the horchata and jamaica agua frescas,and both were extremely delicious and refreshing. For an appetizer, we got the corn elote, which surprised us because it came as a whole corn rib rather than cut pieces, but it was still tasty and fun to try. For our main dish, we ordered the molcajete, which came out sizzling and smelled amazing. I especially enjoyed the shrimp, cheese, and cactus the most. While I do think the molcajete could have been slightly more flavorful, it was still delicious overall. It was served with corn tortillas, and although rice and beans would have been a nice addition, there was plenty of food and we left satisfied. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It looked beautiful, but flavor wise it didn't quite blow me away. As the night went on, the restaurant got busier and service understandably slowed down a bit, but the staff remained friendly throughout, which I really appreciated. Upon entering into this restaurant, we received a warm welcome. We asked for a few recommendations for what we should order. We were told the tacos were amazing, a few of the sushi rolls were described as delicious. so we decided to order the ribeye tacos and the Olga's sushi roll. Before our food came, we had the most delicious Caesar salad. One of the best I've had in a really long time. I can't remember the last time I had a meal that was so delicious. The ribeye was tender and seasoned perfectly and sat on a bed of fresh guacamole nestled into homemade corn tortillas. The sushi roll was fresh with a hint of Ponzo and lemon. It was delightful! I don't know if I've ever had a drink as yummy as the Jamaica con guayaha. This restaurant deserves five stars. read more

So happy we tried this place. Everything about this place was great. Service, ambiance and more importantly the food. The Cerviche Tostada was refreshing and well done. The Olga roll (didn't expect that) was light and all the flavors were excellent. The winner of course were the prime tacos. We tried the corn cake for dessert which was nice. Service was horrible from the front of house and back of house. Ordered ribeye tacos and wasn't asked how I wanted my temperature, which is imperative from a "steak house". Waitresses were more preoccupied with their phones than refilling our drinks. Hubby ordered a Paloma , the waitress said it was fresh from premium tequila , which was not ... they don't have a liquor license. Ribeye was tough, my enchiladas were bland and felt cheap. Went on a date night and the decor of the place is very suitable for a date night. We were greeted promptly and the service was very attentive throughout the whole dinner without being overwhelmed. We were offered some suggestions for an appetizer. We tried their grilled octopus and guacamole which was delicious. Continued with their poke nachos and and ahi tuna and salmon tower. The portions were VERY generous. Husband had a chavela which was great! I enjoyed Jamaica guayaba beverage that was also delicious. Definitely recommend. On the pricey side but worth it. Didn't get to try their dessert as we were quite full but a near by table had their churros and ice cream and it looked delicious. I look forward to coming back. read more

GREAT POTENTIAL but fell SHORT! ATMOSPHERE: Walking in to Bohemios it's very nice and new. It has a good look that had great promise. Problem was it was empty! Not one other customer which is a bit suspect. It had a heavy Hispanic influence with soccer on the big screen, probably would been better served with cool Latin music. The chefs kept peaking out to watch the game. They need a door or curtain so we don't look straight into the kitchen. Moving on... FOOD was spot on! Tacos were excellent, and they had sushi as well. It was all spot on. SERVICE was excellent, our waitress was prompt, and attentive. We were her only customers, but she was great. The main issue is a nice restaurant posing as a sports bar for its employees. It was strange to have them staring at us because the big screen was behind our table. We came for brunch and it was so delicious. I got the chilaquiles w/ skirt steak, which aren't traditional, the "chips" are more like corn tortilla quesadillas with crispy edges. The steak was tender and well seasoned. The waitress took a while to bring out a knife, but the meat was tender enough that I made do with two forks. lol. It was very good and a different take on a classic. My husband got the Barbacoa de Res. He said it was good, tender and the consumme was great. It came with perfect handmade corn tortillas, rice, beans and onion/cilantro/lime on the side. My two boys shared over easy eggs, bacon and a side of fruit. They ate it all, which for toddlers can be rare. We had no leftovers! Will definitely return...we want to try the dinner menu. I do hope they stock more high chairs as they only had one. This restaurant is fabulous! Had lunch there today (first visit) and the ribeye tacos were so wonderful. It will be hard to choose anything else on my next visit but the menu is very diverse and includes sushi so there are many tempting choices. The interior is very comfortable and unique to the desert. Our server Abbey was excellent. Signage not the best so you might want to google it. First time at Bohemios Prime for everyone in our group. The restaurant was able to accommodate a party of 14 for a birthday dinner. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The setting was perfect, service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. Towards the end of our dinner staff surprised all of us with a birthday celebration. They dimmed the lights in the restaurant, turned off the background music, and came out with a neon birthday sign, and sparklers. They played and sang El Za Za Za for the birthday girl. read more

Then we remembered the sister restaurant to Olga's Tacos had just opened and advertised staying open until midnight, so we had to try it. After a show at the Agua we headed down the road to Bohemios and it was excellent! We had the Bohemios roll, Mar y Tierra, and the gueritos were hands down the best we've had anywhere. Well in this swath of the valley that unfortunately has a dearth of great restaurants, we now have an option! Bohemios blends the unlikely mixture of Mexican, Italian, Steak and Japanese (yes, Japanese). And remarkably they pull it all off brilliantly. We've been there twice now and literally everything we've had has been stellar. Here's the rundown so far... ribeye steak tacos, quesabirria, spicy tuna on crispy rice (that Nobu would be proud to serve), street corn "ribs", and a dish whose name I forgot, it consists of a bowl with a sauce in the middle, surrounded by grilled chicken, chorizo, steak and shrimp. That was amazing. Maybe the craziest thing of all to me is that their tortillas are handmade in house. Not the night before not the morning of, but when you order them!You don't get fresher than that! Not sure why the call it Bohemios because there's nothing bohemian about the vibe. If I have to come up with a criticism, the ambience could be improved on. stylistically it's a mishmash, It doesn't quite seem to know what it wants to be...Beautiful lush booths around the perimeter, but overly bright overhead lighting (in fairness when we came back for our second visit, they had dimmed the lights a bit), bright, white tiled floors, and table tops and 70 inch flatscreen TVs on the walls playing Mexican music videos. So my advice, sit in a corner across from your significant other, stare into their eyes and have some of the best food the Coachella Valley has to offer! read more
