Beans, rice

I am visiting Palm Springs and wanted to get some Mexican food, Casa Mendoza did not disappoint! The restaurant is located in a very nice area with lots of shops and restaurants. Parking was fairly easy. The atmosphere is great, a lot of people and very nice servers. They greet you with some chips and salsa, very delicious! The food was a 10/10, lots of options and good quality food. The fajitas were amazing I just wish they would give us more tortillas. The beans, rice and guacamole were really good! I definitely recommend going, our server told us that they have mariachi on Sunday nights!

Agua Chile Mix

we went here for Father's Day and ordered the Agua Chile's mix, the shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas, and the Molcajete. The service was great and they were very attentive to us. The ambience was amazing as there was a full house, but it wasn't chaotic.

Grilled chicken tostada

We enjoyed Valentines Dinner at Casa Mendoza this year. It was not too crowded around 7:30, they had live mariachi and seating was available in the dining room, and bar areas. We split the tostada salad and mini beef chimichangas . The chicken tostada salad was delicious, with fresh and flavorful chicken breast over shredded lettuce, beans, cheese sour cream and guacamole. The mini chimichangas were amazing!! I highly recommend trying them, I loved the flavor and addition of chopped sautéd chile peppers. We love stopping into this location when we find ourselves in Palm Dessert.

Found this gem of a Mexican restaurant while visiting Palm desert for a wedding. It's so authentic & the staff was so great. William the bartender who took care of us was so nice & welcoming. we were so impressed with his michelada knowledge. This restaurant is also so beautiful inside. He told me they were known for there asada and I'm so glad I listened. My fiance got menudo, a crunchy taco and enchiladas. All were delicious & cured our wedding hangover lol. Would for sure go back next time in area

Fried Ice cream.

Excellent food and menu, thank you chef Luis. Unimaginable service, It was our first time (My wife and I) on this restaurant, it was our lucky day to choose this place, and very impressed by the crew. I just want to shoutout to very hard working crew, Angelina, Manny and the chef Luis, they accepted almost 40+ plus customers at once unexpectedly, they we're running very professionally and with the smile on their face, well done. Family ambiance.

Nice spot with a good salsa. The food was good. The quesadilla had lots of cheese. The burritos come with rice and beans too.

My daughter and I stood at the entrance for several minutes without being greeted. During that time, the manager was visibly overwhelmed and speaking harshly to the young hostesses, who appeared uncomfortable and trying to maintain composure. Despite this, no one acknowledged us until I offered a friendly "Happy Cinco de Mayo," at which point a hostess kindly stepped in to seat us. Unfortunately, the situation escalated. Twice, as we were being seated, the manager abruptly intervened -- placing reserved signs down and yelling at the hostess, myself and daughter we could not sit there. His tone was harsh, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. This happened two times at two different tables that we were escorted to by the hostess and in front of my young daughter. Needless to say it was both uncomfortable and humiliating. I have never experienced a restaurant manager behave with this level of disrespect toward a guest, especially a woman with her child. I felt embarrassed and heartbroken that my daughter had to witness this. When I calmly approached him to understand the situation, he responded by stating they had "400 reservations," followed by dismissive and aggressive body language that made it clear we were not welcome. The interaction ended with us leaving and both tears. My daughter said "I'm scared mommy, why was that man so mean". A guest from the restaurant who was dinning and witnessed the incident came out just to see if we were ok. Equally concerning was how he treated his own staff, especially female staff setting a negative and unprofessional tone throughout the front of house. As someone from a fourth-generation family in the restaurant industry, I find this especially disheartening. I would be deeply concerned if any manager in our organization treated a guest or employees this way. I understand holidays are demanding, but being busy does not excuse a lack of basic respect and professionalism. I am sharing this in hopes that upper management addresses this directly. No woman / person and her child should have to experience this kind of treatment.

It was some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while! We came here based off a recommendation from a friend who grew up in the area and said he's been coming here forever... so that was a good start Once inside, we were able to be seated right away... decor is definitely traditional and the layout and steps are a little strange, but not terrible. The chips and salsa they started us off with were delicious... I probably could've ate 3 bowls! We also ordered steak and chicken fajitas, a kids quesadilla, and a 4 item combo with cheese enchilada, chile relleno, bean and beef burrito, and chicken taco. All made fresh and had great flavor! The only real downside was that service was just so so for it not being too busy... but not a big deal, still definitely a spot I would seek out and highly recommend

Las Casuelas Nuevas is 70% aesthetics, 30% food…read more Is the food bad? Nah. It's perfectly nice Mexican food, leaning a little more Tex-Mex. Is it going to change your understanding of Mexican cuisine? Also no. You come here for the setting, and on that front, it's a 500% yes. The place is gorgeous. Walking in feels like you've somehow traveled back in time to a Mexican hacienda from the early 1900s. A very aesthetically pleasing hacienda, obviously. Courtyards, fountains, greenery, colorful details, old-school architecture. The whole place has character for days. The staff was warm and friendly, and the food did its job. Plates are hugeeeee! But the venue is unquestionably the main character here. Would I send you across the desert for the food alone? Probably not. Would I absolutely bring someone here for dinner because the setting is enchanting? 100%

Wow. Every time I've come here the food never disappoints, and the service is always exceptional,…read moreover the moon actually! Came in for lunch on a very hot Saturday afternoon, was happily greeted and taken care of by Joseph, he always has the best attitude, smile, and is super knowledgeable about the menu. I'm not drinking right now so he offered me a few different mocktails. I tried the guava, super yummy, tropical, and tangy. They also had happy hour I ordered the beef taquitos they were delicious and perfectly cooked. I tried the guac-a-crab, it was amazing and now one of my new favorite go-to's. It was a large portion I had to take the extras home and I finished it when I got home it was so good. Warm lump crab with Mango and guacamole, also try the chips and salsa they put tajin on the freshly made corn tortilla chips, the best! Ambiance in here is kind of dark and moody, beautiful flowers and paintings on the wall. Very nice decor and restaurant overall. I am a pretty frequent diner here. And have had to come back and add to my review a few times, My everything I've tried here is amazing. My go to was always the shrimp chicharron tostada, fish tacos, or mole enchiladas. But recently I enjoyed the last two "catch of the day" which is a daily special prepared by chef Georgie, and each dish has been uniquely curated, and tastes spectacular. Thank you for the amazing service always, Joseph, Brandon, Georgie & staff. If you haven't stopped by yet, come give them a try.
