I paid $18 for tasteless enchiladas that needed some cheese. I don't mind paying money for good food, but this was not good food. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen or the staff, but this was bad food and bad service. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not go there again! We are sensitive to alcohol and can tell there was very little if any in the drinks. When you pay for an alcoholic drink you expect there to be alcohol in it. I had the Campechana (shrimp/octopus) cocktail, the fajita trio, and three burritos (carnitas, chicken). My cocktail was really good and came with hot sauce to add (Valentina?). Wife's fajitas were decent but the beef would've been better with thicker pieces of carne. The flaming platter was a nice touch. The burritos were all pretty good, but not awesome. Some of the best Mexican food and margaritas I've experienced outside of Mexico. The grilled fish tacos were spectacular - the fish was fresh and tender, the chipotle sauce was perfect, and the house made hot sauce was excellent. Los Arcos is BOMB Mexican food in La Quinta. It's causal and a family like environment that it's comfortable for all ages. Don't sleep on their bar area and bartenders though, while it's a more traditional restaurant and less of a bar I was impressed by their cocktails and margaritas. The vibes inside are good and the restaurant is clean and inviting. They have a small outdoor patio but being in a shopping center not much of an atmosphere outside, so I'd definitely recommend sitting inside which was really nice for us to have a girls dinner. Restaurant is spacious enough with tables and booths throughout. Not too big though that you'd get overlooked or anything, the service was consistent and we had plenty of check ins. The service was very good here and everyone was super friendly. While we had a consistent and nice waitress, we were checked up on by multiple people, it was really nice how everyone works together to make sure the customer has a great experience. Nice people work here and they deserve your business. The margaritas are a 10/10 here! I had a raspberry margarita here and it was honestly one of the best margaritas I've had in a very long time! My friends liked their cocktails as well. stick with the margs. The food was also very good and authentic. My husband and I came here last night to enjoy one of our previously "go to" casual restaurants. We were seated right away, offered some chips and salsa and a drink order was taken. We each decided on a skinny margarita, shared their House Speciality Date Salad and the Fajita Trio. After about 20 minutes the server came and apologized for the long wait. We were not offered more chips or asked if we wanted another Margarita. After another 10-15 minutes our fajitas came out but not the salad. The fajitas seemed as if they had been sitting for a while as the signature lighting the skillet fell flat. We were given 3 tortillas, asked for more and they charged a $1.00 for additional tortillas. Finally, the salad came which was very good. The fajitas, however, were very bland, no additional toppings and were more onions than anything else. The server checked on us one time, never asking if we wanted more chips or something else to drink, etc. We just felt the service and the food were not worth the $90.00 tab. We noticed that it wasn't as crowded as usual and reading other reviews, it seems things are going the wrong way. The restaurant has nice decor . Looks like they may be short staffed because it took them about 20 minutes to take our drink order, then another 20 min for our food order. We ordered the chicken flautas. These were ok but the rice wasn't fresh and dry. The flautas were basic. I got a small side of guacamole . When I asked the waitress for more she took about 15min to bring me the side, by then I was done with my food. The chilaquiles verdes salsa tasted rancid . The taquitos were your average taquitos, did not taste homemade . This place is your average Mexican American food , not authentic. Solid Mexican food. We were staying in the LQ Cove and ordered deliver through Grubhub twice. The first night I had the Chili Relleno combo with a cheese enchilada (my go-to). The Chili Relleno was one of the better ones I've had - nice egg batter (light and fluffy) with plenty of cheese filling. The enchilada was good too, but the stand out was the red sauce it was served in. Extremely tasty. He had the Tampiquena, a carne asada steak topped with a cheese enchilada, and he really liked it. The 2nd meal I had the combo again (that good) and he had a combo of 2 crispy chicken tacos and a pork tamale, which he really liked again. The order came promptly, and we will order from here again. Came for lunch during a day trip to the desert, the menu looked great so we decided to give it a try. I got the enchiladas suizas and my mom got a combo plate with a chile rellano and cheese enchilada - everything was delicious! The salsa is also the first test to know if it's gonna be a good Mexican restaurant. We had 2 bowls of salsa so safe to say it was really good! Rice and bean portions are huge, the meat in the enchiladas suizas was so flavorful and the tomatillo salsa on top still has my mouth watering! We both got margaritas, I got raspberry and she got mango. I usually am not a flavored margarita fan, I love a classic margarita but I'm so happy I tried a flavor because they're not too sweet at all and I really enjoyed the pairing with their tequila and sour. We sat outside, it was a lovely day and we really loved the butterflies and clay suns for decoration. Even inside was adorable and well decorated but it was just too lovely weather to pass up! Service was great, we were helped by a young woman whose name I do not remember but she was great! We were the only people at the restaurant but the staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. Before leaving I think we spoke with the manager who has a huge heart and was very funny!! My ultimate restaurant find in the city of La Quinta! If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant for the most authentic and flavorful Mexican food this side of town. If you like seafood, I highly suggest the cocktail. (they also offer octopus) My son ordered the Enchiladas Suizas.. I can't really comment on this dish but I can say, he finished his entire plate. (served with rice and beans.) Desert; highly recommend their churros. Soft crunch on the outside, moist on the inside. Our first visit to Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant was a five star experience. The restaurant is located in a strip style mall with plenty of parking. The interior is cozy and well-decorated. We ordered the Fajita Trio and shared it. The item included beef, chicken, shrimp, and grilled peppers and onions. Our waiter, Jesus, brought the entree to our table, and it was still cooking on the hot plate. Everything was delicious. The entree also came with rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and three tortillas. There is also an option if you share this entree. You can order an additional "Fajita Set-Up" which includes the rice, beans, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The cost for the separate "Fajita Set-Up" was $6.00. We really appreciated the reasonable prices for the food we received...excellent value. Regarding Jesus, he was excellent. We never had to request a drink refill, and he checked in with us regularly.
