Came in here for the first time and picked up some pan dulce. A great selection and decently priced. I got 10 for around $12. They also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I will give it a try next visit. The store is nice and clean, and has a good amount of seating with an outdoor patio. Prices have gone up even though they're still low due to the establishment being cash only. It's always busy here. This morning, 4 people cut in front of me to order because a friend was there so they got in front of me with him. Burrito Mexicana was $11. Zero flavor & had eggshells in it. Seriously, what does this place have against salt?!?! The tacos also are flavorless. I don't understand why this place is always busy. Found this place on Yelp & decided to give it a try. My girlfriend & I were craving Mexican pastries and coffee in the morning. Upon entering we could tell this place gets super busy. Parking lot is small, it was full & many cars parked along the side of the road. Which was a good thing to me , because that means it must be good! The customer service was great! Super friendly. I took two stars off because the churros didn't seem like they were fried enough, a tad gooey, and some of the pastries were super dry. And I was craving an ice coffee, but all they had were machine coffee makers & that wasn't what I wanted. However, their food section looked amazing ! Will have to try that next time ! read more

This little bakery is very unassuming and has more to offer than just its name suggests. I usually only come here for morning coffee and their pan dulce/bread (what they are best known for). My go to pastry is usually the Danish and the ones sold here are very generous with the amount of cream/filling. Most of the pastries/breads range from $0.85-1.10. They also sell great cakes here. If you need a large cake for some sort of party (birthday, wedding, etc..) they have great options! Their cakes have the perfect amount of sweetness. I actually ended up ordering a large cake from here for my wedding (However, I did not order a tiered cake just to keep costs down) because I liked their cakes so much. Besides pastries and cakes, they also sell Mexican food such as tacos, tortas, burritos, etc. I haven't tried any of these yet so I can't speak to how good they are but the prices are great. Other: Their busiest hour is usually around 7-8 AM before everyone gets to work. They are cash only and do not accept credit/debit cards. The bathroom is outside. Wow! What a super great surprise to find this delicious place! My friends friend called it a bakery but much to my surprise it's also a taqueria with the best leanest carnitas I've ever eaten in my life! Still the best Mexican pan dulce in the area! I came here today for a cafecito y pan and it was so good! The selection of pan dulce is very extensive but be warned that they only take cash and the private parking lot is very small so you might have to do street parking (plenty of it). There is nice outside and inside seating! I think the restrooms are outside and you need to ask the cashier for a key. read more

The Villa Bakery is a classic Cathedral city spot . It is not fancy and the parking lot is small but the food is worth it . You will be served on a styrofoam plate but what matters is what's on that plate ! This place has great prices , great hours , and fresh food with a neighborhood vibe. Some of my personal favorites are the Torta de milanesa , the tamales , and the tacos . The Torta is probably my most ordered item it is a good size , comes with avocado inside and is only 6.30 ! The Bakery makes the best cheese danishes ! Another good one is the pig shaped bread . Puerquito . The sweet breads , pan dulces, are always fresh and this place opens early enough to stop in before work. ;) One of the down sides,or things to know , is that this place is CASH only.
