Genuinely confused by the five star reviews - everything tasted subpar, unfortunately. Tried their blueberry scone (forgot to snap a photo), the strawberry oat crumble bar, "the bar," and the socal sourdough. The blueberry scone was the only thing that tasted ok, but it's nowhere near the quality of baked goods you can find in SF. (After visiting two separate highly-rated bakeries, I've come to the conclusion that Palm Springs just doesn't have great bakeries.) "The bar" is quite possibly the worst baked good I've ever tasted - this coming from someone who will actively seek out local bakeries in every city visited. The strawberry oat bar was not great either; it tasted like something a child might make by slathering smucker's strawberry jelly on a base made from oats, flour, butter, and sugar. Nothing special about the sourdough. I can appreciate their commitment to baking without preservatives, but it should be possible to do so without compromising on taste. Two stars because they did seem friendly based on a very brief interaction.

Lovely and superb. Everyone is friendly and the goods are divine. The Earl Grey Tea bread is exquisite. Mark and Kristen do not use preservatives. The baguettes should be eaten the same day.

AMAZING the best sourdough I have ever had and the blueberry muffin was incredible. I went in on Christmas Eve looking for yeast to make bagels for my family and they kindly gave me some for free. Sweetest people ever and amazing bread.

The 99-cent tacos are an incredible value, but the quality is what really impressed me. I tried the chicken tacos, carne asada tacos, and the nachos, and every bite was outstanding. The meat was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and the toppings were just right. The tacos were absolutely out of this world! While I was waiting for my order, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Richard. He was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and it was obvious that great service and high-quality food are his top priorities. You can tell he takes pride in what he serves, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. If you're looking for authentic Mexican tacos in Palm Springs, Baja Springs is a must-visit. Delicious food, fantastic prices, and excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Okay, I've been coming here for 12 years and today was the day they lost me as a customer…read more This may seem simple and petty but it's more about customer service. A few weeks ago I came in for taco Tuesday, discounted tacos and they are always good. This time they didn't give me all that I paid for. Seemed like an honest mistake but I was already home when I noticed and so I called them to let them know. They asked for my name and how many tacos were missing and said I could come back another Tuesday and get them. No big deal right? Well I went in to ask about them today and I was told that nobody had written down my name and that I needed my receipt. But to pick up the tacos I had to give my receipt to the woman in the kitchen so I have no receipt. So I was simply dismissed and told no. I had already ordered and paid for two burritos today, I guess this is the last meal I will have here. Yes the food has been good. But to have been a customer this long and to be so easily dismissed leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We have our own business in town (a restaurant) and we do not treat customers this way. I have referred hundreds of people to Baja Springs, that also stops today. This is the prime example of it takes time to gain a customer and one day to lose them. If this is the way management treats me I don't want to continue to be a customer. It's not about money, it's about morals and ethics of at least acknowledging a customer and not just dismissing them like it was my fault for them not giving me what I had ordered. I'm sure they will continue on in business and do well, they just won't get my money anymore. Thanks for taking the 12 years of me being a customer and treating me like I truly don't matter at all. I guess I'll take my business up the street to the other market. If I don't matter I guess you won't miss me.

To start with the staff was super friendly. The menu was a blast to read. I mean, what else could you have wanted? Everything tasted amazing. My favorite was the Yuzu filtered cocktail called poolside vibes. Special props to our server "Angel" who was a literal angel with helping me to navigate the menu choices and keep everything filled! He even replaced the candle for our table. The menu appears to change seasonally, which is a bonus for those of us who are locals to the Palm Springs area. We are already planning our next visit and can't wait to go back and try more. All we can think about are the ahi wonton tacos appetizer. The vibe is casual classy and you can even bring your four legged best friend if that is your cup of tea! I hear there is a menu for Dogs, which sounds amazing. It was close to end of day so I was quick to browse the offerings before placing my sandwich order. Ended up getting a Caprese and Parma on focaccia. The staff seemed preoccupied with Cleaning but did their best to get my sandwich order out fast. I've heard nothing but good things about this place but this is my first time. I asked the lady behind the counter for a popular favorite recommendation and she seemed confused and just said everything was good. Two sandwiches around $40 so I was hoping for something great. Unfortunately we agreed that the taste was good, but nothing amazing and probably not what we were expecting for the price. Everything fell just a little bit flat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. I ended up drizzling balsamic vinegar on the Caprese at home since they only put olive oil and a little bit of pesto on the bread and the whole thing just felt lacking ever so slightly. The shop itself was clean and well kept and had a lot to offer so I still recommend stopping by and browsing for Italian goodies. Just not my favorite sandwich spot. Maybe we will try something else another day or just stick to the pasta!
