    Skinny margarita
    Francheska O.

Was in the mood for Mexican food and this was close to our hotel. The place was packed but we were still seated right away. Server was super friendly and efficient. The skinny margarita was really good. For my main dish I got the open face enchiladas. I ate the entire plate! It was so good with the green sauce our server had recommended. The side of the corn cake was delicious.

I was visiting my sister in Palm Springs, she has been telling me about Maracas a restaurant in Rancho Mirage that has really good Mexican food, and she was not lying. We were seated and found out that we were in time for happy hour from 3pm to 5pm weekdays, a few TV's a enclosed cover patio, an open kitcher with huge bar in the center, there is another location in Palm Springs too, the chips & salsa was top notch it was spicy and so good. We ordered a margarita and sangria, the buffalo chicken wings and a combination enchilada plate, all of our food was very tasty plus delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful checking on usa few times. They also have live music here around 5pm

UPDATED LUNCH SPECIALS MENU weekdays $15 includes beverage. New items include Chicken Ranchero and a daily Chef's Special. We tried both yesterday and they were excellent. The Chef's Special on the Lunch Specials menu will change often. Cool surprise whenever you go! We love the staff and the food. The lunch specials are an excellent deal at a time when restaurant prices in general have skyrocketed. Enjoy Maracas in Rancho Mirage!

Three milks cake look wow delicious!!! It's still possible to get impeccable service.

Second time to be here. First with a large group (outdoors) , then for a birthday (indoor). We were seated quickly. Waiter took our drink order ( Mang Tangos). We had chips and super tasty spicy salsa. Orders came at a reasonable time. Everything was so delightful and yummy! We drove just to revisit this place! Everything was amazing! If you wanna eat at one of the best Mexican you will ever eat, do come here in Palm Springs!

My sister and I went on a GREAT hike in Palm Springs and then stopped here on the way home for a great lunch. Service, food, drinks - all on point. New owner is kind and fun and we can't wait to come back! Just genuinely good people and food.

    Absolute Perfection. Huevos Rancheros.

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Hostess and waitress were both professional and friendly. Our husbands ordered the pastrami, one in the and the other on a Kaiser roll. I split a turkey Sammy with my friend and we also split a root bear float. The pastrami was very tender and tasty and not at all too salty. Rye bread was good but too much bread with the Kaiser roll. Turkey sandwich was very dry and nothing to wow about. They served us pickles at the beginning of the meal which was good. Got a piece of chocolate cake to go as well as their rice pudding. Great experience but sandwiches are not worth the price.

Unlike so many other parts of trips out here - the oppressive heat, dodging careening buggies driven by seemingly lost and possibly inebriated golfers, and the discovery of sand in eyes / nose / shoes / liver - it's a tradition that sits very well with me. I'd even go as far as saying that the food here makes all of the above worthwhile. The restaurant has a car park to the rear and limited street parking in front. The interior has a lovely ambiance, quietly refined by subtle lighting and a gentle arboreal theme. I've seen it busy and our party has also had the place to ourselves on late visits, but I'd definitely recommend a reservation just in case especially with a larger party. The staff provide attentive and genuinely caring service, and the portion sizes are substantial and easily justify the more-than-reasonable cost. The food itself though is the reason this place is always a highlight reel spot for me. Every dish is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. My personal go-to is the perfectly seasoned and healthy Harvest Salad, usually with an added protein (the blackened chicken adds a real flavor kick and the variety in texture that I love in great food). Fortunately my partner happily defaults to the opulent and delightful Lobster Lasagna, as I'd be loath to miss out on a bite or three of that too. Appetizer-wise, I'm yet to regret any soup-of-the-day choice. The Zucchini last night was... well... yep, perfect is no overstatement. Sweet Basil is an absolute gem, and a must-visit for any visitor here. The only even remotely negative things I can think to mention is to be aware of the rather early closing time for at least part of the year.

We had the Grilled Portabello Mushroom topped with melted Gruyère, roasted tomatoes, garlic aioli. Very yummy that melted on top. The service was pleasant and attentive.

We made 4 transactions over 2 days that definitely added up to just shy of $200. The cashier that was a young guy was great because he told us that there was actually a 2nd location not too far away that made specialty coffee drinks & ice cream. We rushed over there to try the ice cream & I also ordered the matcha with lavender that they make that tastes authentic, the flavor was incredible, (not like the fake stuff that the most famous coffee place on earth sells that smells funny). The cashier at the other location was super kind, knowledgeable, & very easy to talk to, I asked several questions & was indecisive before placing my order yet she was patient & friendly. The guy that made my ice cream came over to ask me if I would like blueberries with the strawberries in the shortcake ice cream, it was some of the best vegan ice cream that I've ever tried, along with excellent customer service, I highly recommend going there. We were visiting all the way from Vegas & tried Chef Tanya's because we were actually staying in Pioneertown for a show & there aren't any vegan restaurants in the area so we had to drive to Palm Springs. Overall it's pretty good, they have a lot of choices for food & it's also a small store with interesting food & decorative items, I bought some vegan chocolate caramels that are made from coconut instead of dairy.

I also love their little store section with the faux meats, seasonings, and merchandise. I ordered the bowl of chili, the Chupacabra sandwich and the Guadalajara burger. The chili was so flavorful and I enjoyed learning that they use Rancho Gordo beans. The Guadalajara burger had great toppings but as much as I try, I'm not the biggest fan of Tempeh. The chupacabra sandwich was good, the menu said that the 'chicken' is thinly sliced, I didn't realize just how thin it is. I think I would have preferred if it were slightly thicker and less cabbage. There was so much cabbage that it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. Overall, I think this place is a gem and I'd like to try their other menu items.

Seriously one of the BEST pastrami sandwiches I have had. My wife had some and thought the same and my mom tried it and she was amazed. This lil spot knows how to make pastrami. and the House chips were pretty over the top too. 122 mile drive for us but might have to venture back for a great pastrami sandwich. Moms salad was also good, massive and we share it and still didnt finish it. Young lady came in and remembered this crew from way back too and that was cool to see. Lots of TVs, good amount of seating and great service. If your out for an event or lucky enough to be a local this spot is worth checking out and if you love pastrami its a MUST.
