We come from Los Angeles where you can get whatever milk tea you want, so we looked for a place here to see what they have. Tea N Tea had lots of good reviews so we dropped by. It is a small store but really cute. They sell a variety of tea drinks as well as fruit slushies and refreshers, plus some delicious dacquoise pastries similar to macarons. You can also get cute toys and plushies. The cutest drink on the menu was a Doggie Latte! We asked her whether to get the Strawberry or the Ube Matcha and she said the Ube had been really popular lately so we went with the Ube Matcha (6.99). We made it jumbo ($2) to share, chose oat milk ($1), and added aloe vera jelly ($0.85) and black boba ($0.85). The drink came out mostly purple with only a little matcha on top and even after mixing it, it basically tasted like a taro milk tea. The aloe vera jelly didn't really match the drink either so I would skip that add on. Pretty disappointing given the high reviews on Yelp. read more

My first stop for boba in Palm Springs/ Desert. Cute arrangement in the entryway / waiting area with imported Korean snacks for sale (to-go only, no inside seating) and friendly staff. My boba order is pretty basic: fresh green/black/oolong tea, dairy milk, no sugar, light ice, pearls. Many shops fail one or many of these criteria, with pre-mixed teas, no dairy milk option, no sweetness option, or an extremely sweet boba inherently. Not the case here! Everything tasted fresh and refreshing. The pearls were a bit firm at the time I visited; I recognize the challenge of keeping this perfectly consistent every hour of the day, and everyone has their own preference for texture, so I have no problem with it. I have never been treated like this at a business. My girls are 2 and 3. They asked for a cookie after the gym today and I said yes, I don't say yes every day, so it's a real treat. They walked in excited, chose their own cookies, and carried them proudly to the counter. Before ringing anything up, the owner asked if we planned to eat inside. I said yes. She then brought up our previous visit: the crumbs, the cleaning she'd had to do, the ants that came afterward. For the record, on that visit we wiped down our table and cleared away our own trash before we left. These are cookies that crumble in an adult's hands. A few crumbs after two toddlers eat one is exactly what anyone would expect. I explained that it was 100 degrees outside and I wasn't going to sit two toddlers in that heat. She told me I'd need to make sure we didn't leave a mess. Then she began, "well, normally parents..." I stopped her there. I put the cookies back, and I had to explain to a 2 and 3 year old why we were leaving the place they'd been looking forward to all morning. Understand what happened here. I was screened at the register before I was allowed to buy anything. I was told my children were a cleanup risk. Then I was offered advice on how to parent them. Over crumbs. AS A CUSTOMER AND A MOTHER OF TWO TODDLERS, THE LAST THING I NEED IS UNSOLICITED PARENTING ADVICE IN FRONT OF MY KIDS WHILE I AM TRYING TO GIVE YOU MY BUSINESS. I spent twelve years managing food and beverage operations. Sweeping up after guests is not a favor a business does -- it is the job. It is why a cookie costs $6 here instead of what it costs to bake one at home. Parents: this is not a place that wants your kids there. Save yourself the humiliation of finding that out at the counter with your toddlers watching. Edit in response to the owner: If water was spilled that day, that's fair and I'm sorry -- I didn't realize it, and I would have told you or cleaned it if I had. But I don't recognize the rest of that description, and it isn't what we left. We wiped our table and took our trash before we walked out. More to the point: none of that is what I'm reviewing. If you'd said "last time there was a spill, please let me know if that happens again," I'd have apologized and we'd both have moved on. What you actually did was ask what my plan was before you'd ring up my order, and then begin a sentence about what parents normally do, in front of my children. You haven't denied saying it -- you've explained why you meant it kindly. It didn't land kindly, and that's the whole review. read more

My friends and I came in about 15 minutes before closing and there was only one lady working. Even though she was by herself, she greeted us with a smile and was so friendly.
