Visited the Palm desert location on july 10th at 6 pm. I was craving an iced guava tea boba and that's exactly what I ordered, but when I went to pick up my drink it was a grapefruit tea. I let the employee know that's not what I ordered and he had had the freaking nerve to insist that yes that's what I said?? My friend (who heard me order because she was standing right next to me) told him that she heard me order guava, and yet again he said nope I ordered grapefruit and that they don't remake drinks and then just awkwardly stared at me until I just took the drink and left. I am the friend that came in last Friday to get an after dinner sweet treat. When looking at the menu my friend said that she was going to get the guava tea and then I heard her order it. Took the employee maybe 30 seconds to make both of our drinks and when we went up to grab them she noticed that her label said grapefruit. She asked the employee if it was meant to be guava and he said no you ordered grapefruit. When she kindly let him know that no, she ordered guava the employee said we don't remake drinks. Totally fine to not remake drinks if the customer doesn't like a drink but completely unprofessional to not remake a drink when it was made incorrectly. He proceeded to gaslight my friend insisting she ordered grapefruit which she did not. Such a weird interaction and I don't see this business lasting much longer with this kind of customer service. I never go to these places, but my daughter and grandchildren were visiting and wanted to get one of those boba Tea drinks. I must say they were delicious. I even let my husband try mine later and he loved it too. It's a cute place. The service was prompt and helpful. We will be back. read more

I have been to almost every Ding Tea in Orange and Riverside counties and some in LA. We were down in the area for a few days of vacation, so of course I had to stop by here. This location has the most indoor space of any Ding Tea that I have been to. It is spacious, with several well-spaced tables, and they even have a pool table inside. The murals on the walls looked great. Despite it being 100 degrees outside, it was comfortable and very cool inside. I ordered my usual kumquat lemon green tea 25%/25% with golden and crystal boba. It was consistent and tasted great like at most Ding Teas. It tasted extra good on a very hot day. My girlfriend has a red guava black tea 25%/50% with crystal boba and star fruit which was also great. They have a large list of toppings, more than many other Dings. They also have some food items if you have the munchies. It is nice to know there is a good Ding Tea down here the next time I'm in the area. read more

I stopped by this boba shop tonight and honestly left disappointed because of the customer service. I politely asked if they had any hand sanitizer available for customers, since a lot of tea shops and food places usually provide it these days, and the employee's response came off very rude and dismissive. I wasn't demanding anything -- it was just a simple question. I understand not every business offers hand sanitizer, but there's no reason to treat customers badly for asking. Customer service and attitude matter just as much as the drinks do, and unfortunately this interaction ruined the experience for me. They also apparently don't have a bathroom for patrons to use either. I think there's gotta be a law for that somewhere, not having a bathroom for your customers is ridiculous. The positives: the location is great, tons of parking and inside has games. Great service even close to closing time. The negative: my thai tea wasn't amazing it tasted more like milk than any other flavor. Not sweet, not tea. Just milk. I do like that it's a friendly hang out type of environment. Three of us had a boba craving while heading back to our hotel after a day of hiking at Joshua Tree. This Ding Tea is at a great location in a strip mall near a Ralph's grocery store. While my hometown of Seattle also has a Ding Tea, I've never been and I didn't realize how large their menu is. It took us a few minutes to peruse the options, but the cashier and bobarista were both super patient as we made our decisions. The promotional poster outside the door ultimately swayed me into choosing an iced matcha latte. After all, I wasn't able to have my daily matcha while on vacation, so it was truly calling me! In just a few minutes, our drinks were served. + MATCHA LATTE w/ BOBA ($5.35 regular size + $0.85 for boba): While this drink had more of a milky matcha flavor, I really enjoyed it. Given that the boba was already sweetened, I ordered my tea with 0% sugar and it was just right. Despite me not specifying the ice level, it was also perfectly done. The latte was on the thinner side, on the verge of watery, but I could taste the matcha which was the most important. The boba had a nice bouncy texture, but many of the pearls were for some reason stuck together and it was a challenge to drink them through the straw. They offer two sizes - regular and large. I would consider their "regular" size to actually be small and their "large" to be the standard size at other boba tea shops. Therefore, over $6 for just a small is not a cheap price, but given the touristy area this shop resides in, the cost is not too surprising. When a boba craving calls, sometimes you just have to give in regardless of the circumstances! read more

We were looking for some boba to grab for our road trip back home and saw Ding Tea super close to where we had dinner the first night so we were set on it. We arrived as soon as they opened but were surprised that there were two other customers ahead of us! I immediately thought that if someone is coming here first thing in the morning as soon as they open, it has to be good. I've only had this boba chain once before and I remember it being very good. They had golden pearls and the size/chewiness was perfect. I remember walking in to a really bad smell. I'm not sure if it was just sitting water or some kind of sewage problem but it was not pleasant. We ordered and wanted to leave immediately. I had to breathe through my mouth the entire time to avoid the smell! As soon as I got my drink, I was already a bit disappointed. I love to get extra boba, especially for a 2.5 hr drive home since it'll last me a while but as soon as I saw my cup, the boba pearls were so small! Not tiny but smaller than a regular sized boba pearl which was disappointing. The chewiness was ok but they were too small for my liking. We also noticed after we had already left that the label said brown boba or something. Like I mentioned earlier, the other location had gold ones and were regular sized so I wonder if they had that option and just didn't tell us or offer it at the time? Nice space. I feel for them a little, you can tell they'd probably be a cool hang in an actual city like New York or Los Angeles. Instead their in the middle of nowhere so I would assume business isn't booming but nonetheless, some what friendly customer service. Drinks came out fast. Our three drinks had plenty of flavor. My hot coffee on the other hand, was okay but gave off instant coffee vibes. So not good there. They had a number system where you get a number and wait for your number to be called on their Instagram story. The system was very simple, but I was surprised how nice the employees were! As soon as we came in, every bobarista greeted us and apologized for the long wait. (We waited about 1.5 hours for our number to be called due to so many people coming to the event). The cashier was in a bit of a rush.. so I had to repeat my order a couple times, but I didn't mind. We got our drinks in just a couple minutes! We got the Oolong Latte with Golden Boba and a Jasmine Green Tea with Aloe Vera. The Oolong Latte was AMAZING. Great oolong flavor, a good balance between tea and milk, and the boba was SO chewy and sweet! The Jasmine Green Tea was pretty light and had a good tea taste. A good place to find a wide variety of boba flavors in the desert! I ordered a mango green tea with grass jelly, full sweetness, and half ice. The drinks at Ding do run on the sweet side, which is perfect for me! But, I'd recommend lowering the sugar level if you don't like too sweet. The tea tasted more like a sweet mango juice, and blended well with the soft grass jelly. I also recommend their wintermelon green tea and signature milk tea. I really do like the drinks here, but I do feel like customer service has declined a little. It used to be more welcoming. Now it's a little different. Not as friendly as it used to, not even a hello back. Last time I came in, (the same guy that helped me today) was playing pool with his friends. I came in, he took my order, made my drink, went back to playing. Drink was made incorrectly. No knowledge of problem solving skills from the management. Do not recommend, ordered a matcha and it was extremely chalky as well. Horrible business. I tried telling the manager what was wrong with the drink but she continuously kept rudely talking over me and made me extremely uncomfortable. I will not be returning, don't waste your money.
