One of my favorite desserts is the ube mochi at Foodland in Hawaii and their ube reminds me so much of that. I had their matcha ube latte and the day prior my bf had the ube latte so we got to try how the syrups taste in both a tea and espresso drink. Okay enough about ube! Moving on to the food. I tried the chicken empanada, beef empanada and the matcha cookie. All were so good and flavorful, quite possibly my favorite empanada. The dough is so soft and the meat is perfectly seasoned. You don't see that kind of hospitality very often anymore. The coffee was excellent, and the pastries were just as impressive. We tried the Honey Cake and the Bird's Milk cake, and both were fresh, rich, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they don't cut corners when it comes to quality. As an Armenian, I left with an even bigger smile knowing this place is Armenian-owned. This conversation in Spanish took several minutes and created a very awkward environment at the table. I cannot think of a more divisive way to alienate your English speaking customers. The Sueno had a nice subtle orange flavor and the Cana had a nice brown sugar flavor. These two were listed as some of their signature lattes. The lattes were very flavorful. We also ordered some pastries, Cardamom bun and the Conchita with ham and cream cheese. The cardamom bun was soft with crispy edges. Both were delicious, savory and sweet! I literally wasted essentially my entire lunch break waiting for coffee. I don't care how good the coffee is--there is absolutely no world in which waiting over half an hour for a cup of coffee is reasonable or sustainable. People might tolerate this once because the place is new to them, they're curious, or they've heard good things. But how many people are going to repeatedly sacrifice 30-40 minutes of their day just to get coffee? Time is far more valuable than a cup of coffee. And that's the real problem here. This isn't just about being "a little slow." When a coffee shop requires this much time for something people specifically buy because it should be relatively quick and convenient, there is something fundamentally wrong with the operation. Whatever the bottleneck is--staffing, workflow, equipment, order volume, or the entire service model--it desperately needs to be fixed. You can make the greatest coffee in Riverside, but if customers have to surrender their entire lunch break to get it, what's the point? Everbloom seriously needs to rethink its business model and figure out how to handle customers efficiently. Otherwise, people may come once for the experience, but many simply won't come back. A 30+ minute wait for ONE CUP OF COFFEE is not sustainable. Period.

I stood there for two minutes waiting - the barista never acknowledged me (a hi, we'll be right with you would have been great), and the staff in the back had better things to discuss than serve a customer. I turned and walked out. The experience was sub par at best. I have been many times before and noticed a decline in service lately and attitude from the staff. This experience today confirms that I won't be returning or supporting any of the Koffi locations in the future. I guess I should say thank you for saving me money today on overpriced pastries and mediocre coffee.
