Best coffee shop I've ever tried!! Love their unique drinks and the avocado toast was delicious!!

Loved this cafe we happened to find while in Palm Springs. The cafe was very spacious inside with plenty of tables and seats. We ordered the Sueno and Cana lattes. The Sueno had a nice subtle orange flavor and the Cana had a nice brown sugar flavor. These two were listed as some of their signature lattes. The lattes were very flavorful. We also ordered some pastries, Cardamom bun and the Conchita with ham and cream cheese. The cardamom bun was soft with crispy edges. Both were delicious, savory and sweet! The staff were super helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back when in Palm Springs. Happy Nom Nom! read more

Lots of seating, great atmosphere, and super friendly owners. As cliche as this statement might be in southern CA, their avocado toast is fantastic. They use locally made sour dough and the chili oil really puts it over the top - great portion too. I feel like coffee shops are as much about the setting and energy as it is the food and drink. Rutina nails both, in my opinion. This is my new favorite place for coffee - I wish I had the wherewithal to take pics of the food and drink, even their mugs and plates are delightful - but I was too hungry and just dove right in. They have a water station with reusable metal cups, which I really appreciate. They're doing a lot right here. Absolutely stop by if you've been meaning to check it out. read more

Came here over the weekend for some matcha & coffee after seeing a IG post saying it was one of the better coffee spots in the Palm desert! It was cute inside, open space, modern. I was super surprised that there was a huge line when we arrived! I'm assuming because it is that goood! So we waited & waited & waited lol So I will say that was my only complaint, it took forever to get our order taken, not sure if it was just customers being slow to order or the employee not being in a rush to take orders. lol We finally got up to the line & I got the seasonal mango matcha & my bf got the Pablo! Then we were able to sit at the little bar area in front to watch the drinks being made so that was cute. Mine was up shortly after so they called my name & we waited for my bfs to be done & I thought it was taking a bit long & why wouldn't it be done around the same time as mine. Well turns out it was off to the side a bit So not sure what happened there, someone didn't call the name or we just didn't hear the one girl who made his (she had a more softer tone of voice) Side note: Girrrrl whoever wrote on my mango matcha literally has the cutest writing I've ever seen! Truly enjoyed everything about this space! They were very efficient in getting out the drinks considering there was a bit of line as it was Fourth of July when I went. Nonetheless, the workers were welcoming and I can see this space being good for working since the World Cup is over now, I feel that the noise level will calm down a bit. Adorable place off of Hwy 111 & San Pablo...I loved the clean design of the place and the clientele leans towards young & hip, working on laptops. I love cardamom, so I decided on the Cariño, made with honey from Guadalajara, MX, cinnamon & cardamom. Smooth, tasty flavored lattes in a really cool, relaxed setting with an inviting vibe. Orders were quick and easy and staff was awesome. My favorite was the Sueno with a mild orange essence and the coffee was not bitter at all. It paired really well with the cream top. I had high expectations after hearing someone say their matcha changed their life and seeing the line out the door made it seem like it was the only cafe in town. It was very hot and the wait was an hour. They had an electrolyte cart available for people in line. The space is large and open, but the wooden tables and seating weren't comfortable. The tables were also so big I had to yell to have a conversation with my friends. As for the drinks, they were creative and unique. The matcha leaned more on the bitter side, and in the strawberry matcha, I could barely taste the matcha itself. It was still yummy and refreshing. It's an interesting spot to try, but I think OC has better places for matcha. read more

I really like the staff and vibe of this place. I got the MUSCOVADO MATCHA LATTE and although a unique flavor combination I don't think it worked. The muscovado which is similar to brown sugar molasses flavoring was too strong you couldn't taste any matcha. It's also hard to mix and get it altogether. Quality coffee in Palm Springs! Parking is easy, there's an adjacent parking lot. Really big space inside and lots of areas for seating. Lots of people working on laptops. I asked what the most popular thing to get here is. She said the Pablo latte was the most popular specialty latte, so I went with that one as that happened to be the one I was eyeing. I got it was almond milk. The Pablo latte has cinnamon and clove in it, and the presentation was stunning! At first it was a little too sweet for my liking but I let them know and they happily remade me one less sweet. I really appreciated them doing that with no sass whatsoever. It's on the pricey end, my latte cost me about $9, but at least it's a good quality drink, a good space, and friendly staff. read more

This is a great coffee spot! We were looking for a place to get our daily coffee fix and this place seemed aesthetic with a creative menu so we paid a visit. The interior was pretty spacious and it offered a variety of seating: tables, counter, window, and a large centerpiece. It's also good for studying since it has outlets. I ordered the most popular, pablo latte, which was the perfect sweetness and came with a cinnamon stick. I also tried the seasonal caña latte which tasted similar to the Pablo, but slightly sweeter without the spices. The hojicha was pretty solid but the matcha was not my favorite despite the deep green color. It tasted a bit artificial and not high quality. The one decent place to get matcha in this area. I got the blueberry matcha and it was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste and that's coming from someone who prefers matcha on the sweeter side. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the blueberry skin pieces, wish they were fully blended. Regardless, it was still a good matcha drink with good flavor. It was also pretty smooth. The interior was nice and aesthetic and there were WiFi and outlets making this a good spot to work/study in. Amazing service, great coffee and a great space to enjoy both. Ordered an assortment of drinks and they were all great. Cold brew, latte, espresso tonic and drip. Enjoyed speaking with the staff about the menu and their journey from coffee cart to having a physical location. Don't hesitate to stop in for a great drink. Super strong and creamy matcha! I got the normal matcha latte with oat milk and it did not disappoint. They use Rocky's matcha btw! It has a super big interior with a bunch of seating and the cashiers were all super patient despite the long line. My absolute favorite coffee in the valley! My two favorite are "Pablo" and "Sueno, you cannot go wrong with those two. I love the inside seating area, it is hard to find seating but luckily they have a square bench area with planter in the middle of the room. Definitely recommend going on a weekday, every time I have gone on the weekends its SUPER busy. Which makes sense because its the best coffee. But even with how busy it is you never wait too long for your order. Their pastries (baked from a local bakery I believe) are always delicious too! This place is amazing! My sister took us on a long walk to find this place and I was truly wondering where it was. Once we showed up I realized how special this place it. It's a family owned business and is absolutely gorgeous inside. They have a tree inside which which is just so cool. The virtual is just perfect for the space and it is a place where you want to stay and have your coffee. They also have some tables outside too! I wasn't sure what to order and asked for advice - I ended up ordering the Pablo with oat milk and it was great. It wasn't too sweet which why my concern, but it also was a mix of great flavors. It's kind of nice that they have such a large variety and it's different from other coffee places. My husband tried the ham and cheese croissant pastry and really liked it so he ordered it again when we went back. There isn't a huge food selection, but it's nice that there are options. i rutina!! i've been supporting since their pop up days and am profoundly proud of seeing a latino owned coffee shop in our valley. rutina offers the best strawberry matcha everrr, they make their strawberry puree in house and man whatever they're putting in that it's delicious!! not too bitter or creamy, just the right amount. not to mention my partner n i went during their food hours so we had to get their salmon lox cilantro lime bagel?? it's insane.. just how crazy that sounds is how crazy GOOD it is!! the staff was super kind and helpful. great job!! read more

This place has a beautiful ambiance. But the drinks and pastries were personally not worth the cost or the taste . I ordered a 16pz matcha vanilla latte (largest drink size) and a banana bread for a total of $20...the only customized adjustments I made were to have light ice and extra scoop of matcha. The cashier said it'll h adjustment would only cost 0.50cents and my drink said it was $9 on the menu....im not sure what it was that made my order turn out to be that expensive but after tasting the latte and the bread it was sadly not worth it . For $6.50 for a tea, you should include steamed milk for free if your register "can't do it." I came here because of the tea I saw on the menu online. I ordered a black tea with steamed whole milk. The woman at the register said she did not have a way to add steamed milk. I blankly looked at her, as I have the menu in front of me that clearly includes coffee beverages with steamed milk. "You can't steam milk here?" I ask. She says "I don't have a way to add it in the register." "So you're telling me I can't get a tea with steamed milk?" "I can give you cold milk." That's how my experience at Rutina went. I'm accustomed to paying around $5 for a cup of tea anyway - which if you only drink tea like me, you know that's a huge markup already. But to tell me you can't steam milk because the register can't do it? Sorry, that's really lame customer service. I discovered this coffee shop by accident in Palm Desert. I ordered the Sueno, which is espresso, juice from organic oranges, vanilla, and milk. What a truly unique and delicious drink it was. I've never had a coffee drink like that one before. Very memorable. The gentleman at the counter who took my order was friendly and helpful. The ambiance of this very stylish-looking and comfortable cafe was chilled and relaxing. The coffee shop is very generous in its use of space, so no one enjoying the cafe felt crowded. I don't think I've ever really written a review before but I had to bc I had expectations. This was my second time coming thinking I'd give them a second chance since I didn't like the matcha the first time. From the moment I walked in the cashier was very snotty. I asked her what kind of matchas can they make and she looked me in the eye with a straight face and pointed me to the matcha menu. And I felt dumb. I didn't feel invited to read the menu. Just like here you go read it. I've been in customer service for a really long time and I liked people to feel welcomed and even talk to them about what we offer instead of showing them the menu. So I felt dumb. Well whatever it's okay I ordered. I waited over 15 min for the matcha and a tea. I saw other people get their drinks before us that had ordered afterwards. Maybe it was our order that takes longer? But I still felt unseen. I don't know. I like coffee shops to feel inviting and home-y. This wasn't it for me. The hype went all the way down. The tea didn't taste good at all. The matcha was elite which makes me sad. I really really liked it. They messed up our latte, and when we told them it was wrong they wanted to charge us for the syrup that they didn't put inside of it.. Latte was okay, but too milky and couldn't taste the espresso. Milk to ice ratio was a bit off. Flavor was subtle and not too sweet but it tasted just like regular sugar, and not a specific flavor (I.e orange) Employees were a bit frazzled and didn't seem to be paying too much attention on drink quality. As a matcha connoisseur, the matcha here is to die for! It's minimalist but not flavorless unlike other places I have tried before. I had the Matcha Con Calma with Cream top. The matcha has a beautiful nutty flavor and the cream top is velvety fluffy soft and perfectly sweet. This coffee shop is top tier, we are big coffee snobs and struggle finding great locations when we are away from home. The service was great and the ambiance is everything you want a coffee shop to be roomy, aesthetically pleasing and functional. We tried two lattes Pablo& Spain and their fruity pour over. All exceeded our expectations, the espresso was just right and not overly sweet. You could taste the notes in the pour even over ice. Can't recommend this place enough! read more
