Ah well. I'm getting old. I goofed when I originally typed this review a while ago. I put it under the wrong restaurant. Literally, did not realize until just now when I wanted to make a return visit to Palm Tree Palace. I've removed my review from the wrong restaurant. So here is the review you deserved! So sorry for that mistake! The algorithm got me that time. Fast service and tasty food prepared quickly as well. Busy night of mostly parties of 2, and one large party of about 6. Large portions for dinner. We had enough for two more meals. Fried rice was a lil crunchy, but overall the food was great. Wish they had dinner combinations.

We went around 5pm and it wasn't busy at all. Our food didn't take too long and was absolutely delicious. The sweet and sour pork was my favorite! Big portions, these 4 plates fed 4 of us. Service took great care of us, got me craving Chinese food writing this.

We door dashed some food from here tonight and I can't believe how gross the food was. I gave two stars because the sweet and sour chicken was decent. The hot and sour soup was bland and so was everything else. My husband took one bite and said it tasted like a dirty dish rag so he put his plate down. Waste of money for sure. Now here I go to get my family food from somewhere else.

    We can do better...

YELP SHORT ANSWER: No, if food taste is important there are better options near by. If you're there for the experience then sure, you're hungry, they make food, you eat it, you pay and pay a lot. LOCATION: Fantastic location, lots of parking in a very upscale and clean retail center. FACILITY: Very nice buildout, something to be proud of. MENU: Excellent choices, mostly common American Chinese choices, easy to understand. Easy online ordering on Yelp. FOOD PREP: Well done for sure, even for take out. FOOD QUALITY: If looks equaled taste then it would be better than good. But on our takeout order the food was tasteless, very, no extremely dry crispy chicken, egg foo young looked terrible and also had zero flavor, egg rolls had good texture but again no taste aside from dipping sauce which you had to pay for. We did not eat any of the $20 Crispy Chicken so disappointing. WAITSTAFF: Nice enough, seemed happy to greet and serve customers. OVERALL VALUE: Terrible, $55 for take out, two items and egg rolls. If the food was the best around well then I'd say you get what you pay for but I am sorry to say this was not the case. This was our second visit, maybe our last for takeout as other options provide way better taste and a lower cost. TIP: Trusting something is amiss in the kitchen but I do enjoy eating out, experiencing new foods, new flavors, and I enjoy cooking. I will follow recent Elite reviews and revisit and I hope give them a better rating.

Great local restaurant in La Quinta. Nice lunch specials and other choices including soups and duck. Large menu. I had the tofu, chicken, beef and shrimp lunch combo with brown rice and a friend enjoyed the duck soup. The Peking duck and bao looked incredible too. The service was excellent and friendly. I posted menu pics.

First time eating here as we are visiting Palm Springs, CA from Texas. Easy to find location with ample parking lot. Even though prices seem to be higher than what I usually see in Texas (maybe because this is a close-to-many-resorts area), the food is very tasty and in bigger-than-normal portion. Very happy we found this Palm Tree Palace because my mom and I are happily full after enjoying fresh and delicious salt & pepper fish and Hong Kong Pork BBQ rice. We ended up ordering 3 more dishes to-go for my son and nephews. Their service is quick and friendly. They have gen packed the leftover food for us. It's rare to see such service nowadays. Clean and bright room makes eating here enjoyable. Not packed/crowded with tables/chairs, so we ate in an enjoyable environment. We will surely be back next time we're in the area.

Solid delivery dinner. We didn't go in as we were loving our vacation home. Quality preparation and ingredients. Tasty flavors. Everything you wanted in a cozy stay at home Chinese meal.

Would give this place negative stars if I could... We ordered: Mongolian beef Sweet & sour chicken Fried rice Soup dumplings Pan fried dumplings Got the dumplings first. The soup ones were coagulated and had weird pink gummy goop in them. And were obviously made in a microwave. The server even said "you didn't like those" and proceeded to still charge us for them The pan fried ones were fine. No problems. Mongolian beef was tender and juicy. Would definitely recommend. The fried rice didn't come until we were done eating. Done. They blamed it on being "so busy" - but there are 3 tables seated the entire time we were here. We were still charged for it. Huh? Fine whatever. The kicker for me though, THEY HAVE SOFT SHELL TURTLES for eating. Which, if I'm not wrong, is illegal in the U.S. They have a sign on the tank that says "decoration" which is utter BS considering they have no habitat or anything. The entire time we were here, nobody asked us how our food was, didn't refill water, nothing. For a $100+ meal I am incredibly disappointed.

Their food was still very good, and I was lucky to be there before they close for the summer. Recommendations: Garlic cucumber, clear noodle with dressing, spicy combo pot, stir fried lamb, spicy wonton soup, fish with sichuan pickles The only thing I don't recommend is fried eggplant. We ordered from their already limited dim sum menu which was suppose to be available until 4 pm per their menu. They even charged me for food they didn't even deliver. When I expressed I never got the food yet she charged me she tried to get me to pay for someone else's food. I told her that was not my bill. I would not recommend coming here. The table was dirty and so was the cutlery. It got two stars because the pan fried scallion tasted fine and my daughter liked it.

The Tom-Yum soup is good, but I do believe it's missing some tart/sourness that you'd taste in other traditional Tom-Yum soups, however it's packed with lots of chicken and mushrooms, so that's an A+ in my book! And of course the star of the show, the Pad Thai. You can definitely taste the authenticity of this dish here, it's sweet, savory, nutty, and very aromatic!
