Always good food at china 8. Better than panda who wont put meat in the orange chicken anymore all yoi get is breading. Fast and hot and plenty of it on your plate at china 8. Big plate with Kung pao beef and rice served with a egg roll and crispy noodles. Shitty fortune cookie

WOW! My family and I live in Arizona, and we're used to sub-par, cheap Chinese food in our area. It's truly a family comfort, and affordable.... This is by far the cheapest and most delicious place we've been! 10.95 daily specials, INCLUDES A DRINK (75 cents for a refill, though, but still a huge bargain)! It came out piping hot in 10 minutes despite it being slightly busy. It's also nice and cool in here despite being in the middle of summer. Service was pretty good but not outstanding; they were friendly with every interaction so far. Portions were very large and food delicious! Tables are set pretty close together; I could imagine it being a bit overstimulating if each table was full. Overall amazing, best Chinese I have had and the cheapest. We'll be adding this to our vacation stops next time we're in the area.

Last time I've been here had to be decades ago when I lived here as a kid. Glad to see it's still kicking. Of course I don't remember those experiences. Either way came here for lunch with my aunt who has been coming here for decades. Got there around lunch time, half full inside, service was quick and good, attentive for the most part. Place of course was clean and kept up. But the lunch deal that they have for the food is definitely worth it and the portion sizes are very generous to where someone like me can eat until I'm full and yet still have enough leftovers to take home and have another good sized meal later that night. Of course on top of the that, the most important thing was the food tasted great! If you dine in for lunch I think you get tea and an egg roll I think compared to not getting those if you get take out. Just the meal for the same price. Either way, my aunt got a bunch more food to go to take home to the family and I was happy with my meal and the amount I still had to take home with me. Of course if you look at the ratings from everyone, it's not as high as I'm giving it. But until they disappoint, which I hope it doesn't. I'm going to be frequenting this place more often.

Allergies were attacking me badly so I do what I do best and that's order my favorite Hot n Sour soup, large size, from China 8. Couldn't resist, got the 6 fried (tempura) shrimp too. The gal at the front was so sweet and courteous with a smile. Thank you China 8 for making me feel better

The steamed dumplings were cold, hard, and had no flavor. Besides tasting old that is. They said 10 minutes but it took longer. Very disappointed in the dumplings. I was looking forward to them. I tried the walnut shrimp. It was ok. Seemed old. Too much broccoli. For the price they give you very little. But it was shared between my grandparents. I tried some of the rice also. It was yummy and so was the war wonton soup.

Fantastic authentic Chinese cuisine. One of very few chinese restaurants that still offer Egg Foo Young. Even though egg prices are currently out of this world, our 2 dinners were less than $25! Included drink! Can't beat at other Chinese restaurants or most restaurants for that fact. See take home box- unbelievably FANTASTIC!

Is this place closed for good? The phone number is out of service. 🤔😕

China 8 is open. They closed at the beginning of the lockdown to redecorate--new booths, etc.--but are now open for business. Ate there last week...Beef Chow Fun and Kung Pao Chicken...both excellent!

My two go-to appetizers are the spring rolls and the fried tofu. The spring rolls have a lot of lettuce in them, which I like. They are cut up into smaller pieces than a Vietnamese place might do. It comes with a peanut sauce. The fried tofu has a dipping sauce, but I tend to supplement with the little caddy of sauces on the table. I've gotten noodles and tofu dishes at this location. They're always fine; never quite what I am hoping for, but good. The place is quite small and sometimes a little warm. (I totally understand saving money on AC, when there aren't many people coming in.) Food comes out pretty fast. Iced tea is served in a big to go cup, which I appreciate. Prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are pretty big.

The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The food is typically well prepared and tasty. Portion sizes had also been above average. Our most recent order was a bit of a shock. Prices have soared, portions have shrunk and some of the food prep was dismal. The food still tasting good was a consolation. One item we ordered was chicken lettuce wraps. The seasoned ground chicken tasted good and then there was lettuce. The lettuce "leaves" consisted of 4 pita chip sized core piece. No wrapping was going to happen with this. Moving forward, we get our Thai elsewhere.

Plus there hasn't been much Thai places that's worth it in the dessert. I've been to one or two others and it was just whatever. Nothing major to rave about. Desert Thai is right in the heart of town where the civic center is located. Along the main strip off the 111 with some parking in the back. There's a small lot that shares it with other businesses but a parking structure and a few other lots all nearby. You'll find plenty of parking. Both indoor and outdoor dining. Things I noticed with the dessert, most places tend to close early mid week or not even open at all. Give or take 9:30 closings time. Anyways, we walked in during the weekdays which it was pretty mellow. A few people inside but we wanted the patio as we had our dog. There's two patio which wraps around to the back. Tables along the side where the front door is and majority in the back where there's also an entrance. Checked in with the hostesses which she mentioned to have a seat anywhere we wanted as she was finishing up with another customer. It did take a while to get the menu which we thought she may have forgotten until it came out later. They also served wine and beer. Don't quite remember if there's cocktails but I believe so. Food wise, they did have a majority of traditional dishes. Downfall, there was no noodles soup. Was craving either the tom yum noodle soup or the classic boat noddles. Neither was on the menu but your classic noodles dishes were. Started off with the larb which was actually delicious. Minced meat tossed together with all your traditional Thai spices and served with a wedge of cabbage. It's like the Asian version of a ceviche but minced meat. That dish was a hit with the right amount of spices. The juice was really tasty too. I alway get a side of rice to go with it. Entrees, the panang curry with chicken also served with a side of steamed rice. Portion was pretty decent. They served there's with snow peas and green beans versus bell peppers. It was still pretty tasty. And the spicy noodle, which there's a few different names to it depending on where you go to. Nice flat rice noodles sautéed and toss with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and green onions. Another decent dish. The flavors were tasty which I added beef too. Both dishes were quite tasty. To full for desert. The staff were very friendly. Even though we were the only one on the patio, they did come out often to check in on us to see if we needed anything. During our meal, more people did walk in for dining. Between the other restaurants, this one was better. Food was tasty, staff were all very friendly and sweet. At least I can say there's a Thai restaurant that's good in the dessert. Always on the hunt for more.

I don't go often, since it's a little further than I usually go. So, when I do go, it's because I want their food and their experience. It's a unique place that combines a "dining" night out with a comfortable night out. And that's not only the food, really, the whole place and its people are nice and easy to feel at home around. Price wise, it's a bit more than some; however, it is also set in a calm and more intentionally designed place than most in the area. It's a place to go and chat with friends, date night, of a self treat, because there isn't a sense that you need to hurry. There is certainly a wait on a busy night if you don't have any reservations. It was on the main boulevard downtown and the locals there all seemed to look at us and stared as if they'd never seen any other rac3 other than their own. We were clearly visiting and it was our first time. The people in the area and in the restaurant just looked and it felt awkward. We put our names down and waited. We stood there waiting for a while and the host didn't execute their job correctly. I saw parties coming in that were given tables before us. They sat others before us. The people literally just walked in and got a table meanwhile we were standing outside and noticed that. We mentioned this to them and we finally got a table. I also noticed that other rac3 like m!norit!es here end up waiting me awhile the others seem to just waltz in. The food was alright. They said they noodles had no fish sauce but it clearly tasted like it did. The portion was a lot but for the price it was a bit high. We asked for chili and they said they didn't have it. What Thai restaurant doesn't have chili? Lol I think they were lazy. There was also a creep sitting behind our table that positioned himself to sit in front on the sidewalk and gawk and stare at women the entire time which made us feel uncomfortable. He sat there longer than we dined in and was still there when we left. The staff kept asking him if he needed anything because he as camping. They eventually tried to give him the boot by giving his receipt so he can pay and go so others can use the table.
