Always good food at china 8. Better than panda who wont put meat in the orange chicken anymore all yoi get is breading. Fast and hot and plenty of it on your plate at china 8. Big plate with Kung pao beef and rice served with a egg roll and crispy noodles. Shitty fortune cookie

WOW! My family and I live in Arizona, and we're used to sub-par, cheap Chinese food in our area. It's truly a family comfort, and affordable.... This is by far the cheapest and most delicious place we've been! 10.95 daily specials, INCLUDES A DRINK (75 cents for a refill, though, but still a huge bargain)! It came out piping hot in 10 minutes despite it being slightly busy. It's also nice and cool in here despite being in the middle of summer. Service was pretty good but not outstanding; they were friendly with every interaction so far. Portions were very large and food delicious! Tables are set pretty close together; I could imagine it being a bit overstimulating if each table was full. Overall amazing, best Chinese I have had and the cheapest. We'll be adding this to our vacation stops next time we're in the area.

Last time I've been here had to be decades ago when I lived here as a kid. Glad to see it's still kicking. Of course I don't remember those experiences. Either way came here for lunch with my aunt who has been coming here for decades. Got there around lunch time, half full inside, service was quick and good, attentive for the most part. Place of course was clean and kept up. But the lunch deal that they have for the food is definitely worth it and the portion sizes are very generous to where someone like me can eat until I'm full and yet still have enough leftovers to take home and have another good sized meal later that night. Of course on top of the that, the most important thing was the food tasted great! If you dine in for lunch I think you get tea and an egg roll I think compared to not getting those if you get take out. Just the meal for the same price. Either way, my aunt got a bunch more food to go to take home to the family and I was happy with my meal and the amount I still had to take home with me. Of course if you look at the ratings from everyone, it's not as high as I'm giving it. But until they disappoint, which I hope it doesn't. I'm going to be frequenting this place more often.

Allergies were attacking me badly so I do what I do best and that's order my favorite Hot n Sour soup, large size, from China 8. Couldn't resist, got the 6 fried (tempura) shrimp too. The gal at the front was so sweet and courteous with a smile. Thank you China 8 for making me feel better

Is this place closed for good? The phone number is out of service. 🤔😕

China 8 is open. They closed at the beginning of the lockdown to redecorate--new booths, etc.--but are now open for business. Ate there last week...Beef Chow Fun and Kung Pao Chicken...both excellent!

My two go-to appetizers are the spring rolls and the fried tofu. The spring rolls have a lot of lettuce in them, which I like. They are cut up into smaller pieces than a Vietnamese place might do. It comes with a peanut sauce. The fried tofu has a dipping sauce, but I tend to supplement with the little caddy of sauces on the table. I've gotten noodles and tofu dishes at this location. They're always fine; never quite what I am hoping for, but good. The place is quite small and sometimes a little warm. (I totally understand saving money on AC, when there aren't many people coming in.) Food comes out pretty fast. Iced tea is served in a big to go cup, which I appreciate. Prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are pretty big.

The food is typically well prepared and tasty. Portion sizes had also been above average. Our most recent order was a bit of a shock. Prices have soared, portions have shrunk and some of the food prep was dismal. The food still tasting good was a consolation. One item we ordered was chicken lettuce wraps. The seasoned ground chicken tasted good and then there was lettuce. The lettuce "leaves" consisted of 4 pita chip sized core piece. No wrapping was going to happen with this. Moving forward, we get our Thai elsewhere.

Can't even tell you the last time I've been to a buffet. Finally tried it out for lunch. They offer lunch from a certain time with a price that's totally worth it. Also, they offer prices for kids based on ages. And a discount for 65 and older. The place is just along the main strip along the boarder of Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City. Plenty of parking along the front with a few covered car port right in front. Right when you walk in, there's a little waiting area with arcades games. Something to do while you wait when it's busy. We stopped in for lunch which is until 3pm I believe. For the price, it was worth it. There was a good amount of people already when we walked in. Checked in with hostess and was seated right after. Like I mentioned, buffet tends to be a hit or a miss. Well, it was a nice start. Just browsing the rows of trays, there were loads of items to choose from. It's a Chinese buffet with loads of items. You have all your classic dish, orange chicken, beef broccoli, chow mein, egg rolls, sautéed green beans, and so on. A few fish options, chicken items, fried stations, soups, dim sum, sushi station, seafood, fruits, salad, as well as the Mongolian grill section where you create your own dish and its cooked right infront for you. Don't forget to tip the chef. Dessert station was limited but a few items. Lunch selections were decent and loads to choose from. Dinner, I assume there's other items added only for dinner. Probably more seafood I assume. For the price, it was worth it. Quality of food was good. Station was alway refilled every-time I went up to see what else was available. Service was great as the waiter in our section was constantly making sure that our drink was refilled. For the price for lunch, it was worth it. A good selection to choose from. May need to try dinner and compare to see which I prefer better.

I've been to a few which you think they'll be good but it was a little disappointing. Alway hunting for amazing Thai food... My second time here and it's good. Of course with this heat wave, it's so hot to sit outside which the patio tends to be pretty off limit in the heat. Unless you prefer it. We came for dinner which was still pretty early. There's two main entrance, the front and the side/back where the patio is. And two dining area, front and back. Well we walked in, it was a little daunting as we were the only one there. That does have an effect of do we stay or leave. Anyways, we stayed as we enjoyed our meal last time. It did pick up during our meal. Service was great with our waiter. Constantly refilling our waiter without us having to mentioned it. Menu wise, a good amount of Thai dishes that you would be familiar with. The only downfall, they don't have noodle soup which is a favorite for me. If a restaurant has it, that's a plus. Well they don't carry it. Also there's a bar so that's good as well. Honestly it doesn't matter to me with Thai food if they bring out starters before or with the meal. I'm going to enjoy it regardless. Food, we had the chicken larb. Minced meat with Thai spices and a nice sour sauce. So good and had it with a side of rice. That's normally served with cabbage but this time it's with Napa cabbage. Never had it that way but it was still good. Entrees, the spicy noodles. So many different names for them but all the same. Thin rice noodle with whatever protein and slice veggies all tossed together with a nice sauce on top of lettuce. Some places add that while others don't. Lastly the massaman curry, with carrots, potatoes and peanuts in a rich curry sauce. The food was good and very tasty. Portion wise was plentiful and perfect for a main or à la carte with friends. I'm alway on the hunt for amazing Thai food and this place is quite nice.
